I'd also like to add, that from a Russian perspective, showing the EU that a large part of our energy infrastructure is vulnerable to Russian attacks without them actually verbally threatening us, and without attacking something that doesn't belong to another country, is a good way to having people waver in their support for the Ukraine war. We have thousands of kilometres of electrical cables in the waters of the Baltic Sea. The reason why Sweden has ludicrous powerbills (Without having any gaspowered plants), personally going from paying about 0.6 SEK/0.05€, to 2.75 SEK/0.24€ is because we are connected to Germany and by EU accord have agreed to keep a certain amount of power available for export at all times. Guess what that has done to public opinion about standing united with EU? Let's just say that the Swedish Democrats anti-EU rhetoric sounds good right about now.3 points

It's ****ing expensive for the EU to buy gas from not-pipeline sources, it hurts us more economically than it does Russia to repair it. And they'll want us to lift sanctions if they are to repair it so they can "get workshop conditions". Noone in the UN is going to vote through a Russian proposed anything as things stand, and Sweden, Denmark and Germany are already doing investigations into it, which likely is viewed as good enough. As things stand right now, there's no proof that Russia is actively doing energy extortion on the EU, while still costing the EU a ****tonne of money and ****ing over poor countries like Pakistan by raising gasprices everywhere else. They did that for several months already, and the EU was getting fed up with their BS. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/gazprom-nord-stream-1-gas-stay-shut-until-turbine-fault-fixed-no-timeline-given-2022-09-02/3 points

As Azdeus and Bruce said, if they turn it off, they can be balmed for it, and lately sued for breaching the contracts for massive fines. Blewing it up, without getting caught, and convincingly blaming US for it, would hit two birds woth one stone. Destruction of trust between EU and US, and massive uproar in Germany due to extreme prices of gas on thier market. Thankfuly, if they were the culprits, they miscalculated again like many many times before3 points

I dusted off the ol' bicycle and took advantage of the spectacular weather we have here in Cackalacky today. First bike ride in a few weeks so I wasn't sure what kind of riding form I would be in. I felt good out there and pushed the pace for the entirety of the roughly 1 hour ride. It was a good ride save for the one lady that damn near hit me. I don't know if she was blind or what her problem was, but there was no one coming the other way, she had all the room in the world to move over a foot or two while passing me, instead she came within an inch or two of making contact with me, and I was already as far to the side of the road as I could be.2 points

https://www.pcgamer.com/modder-wires-chatgpt-into-skyrim-vr-so-npcs-can-roleplay-and-remember-past-conversations/ While it has limitations, an AI model trained on controlled and contained data might provide a higher variety of appropriate responses and make the social interactions with NPC feel more immersive. On the other hand, there is Square Enix. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2280000/SQUARE_ENIX_AI_Tech_Preview_THE_PORTOPIA_SERIAL_MURDER_CASE/2 points

Yeah, that pipeline is dead in the water alright Just too many viable options with no hard proof at the moment. Guessing is fun of course, but anything short of live underwater video footage of the act itself (or an official confession) will always have the stigma of being government tampered evidence associated with it2 points

I can't tell the difference between that and actual Bethesda writing.1 point

Solasta is shaping up to be a pretty good game. The turned based combat is made palatable by the fact that there are not that many encounters. Although the story and quest are pretty simple so far, which may not be a bad thing for this game.1 point

I asked for Morrowind NPC dialouge. You get what you ask for, it's... pretty terrible "Greetings, traveler. Have you come seeking knowledge? Or perhaps you're looking to trade? Either way, I'm happy to oblige. Just be warned, the roads of Vvardenfell can be dangerous for the unwary. Many dangers lurk in the ash wastes, and there are creatures that even the most skilled warrior would be wise to avoid." "Ah, it's good to see a friendly face. I've been on the road for weeks, and I'm getting tired of these blasted blight storms. It's a harsh land, this Vvardenfell, but there's something about it that keeps drawing me back. Perhaps it's the challenge, or maybe it's the thrill of exploration. Whatever it is, I can't seem to stay away." "I see you're carrying some interesting artifacts there. Care to trade? I have some rare books and scrolls that might interest you. Or if you're looking for something more practical, I have a selection of enchanted weapons and armor. Of course, such things don't come cheap. But then again, neither does survival in this land. It's a dangerous world out there, my friend. Best be prepared."1 point

By the way: the chants that give resistance to whatever can be used to make your party quasi-immune against those afflictions if you use a Troubadour with Brisk Recitation. Every time the chant "hits" your party it will remove 1 tier of affliction that's on your party. So let's say your whole party is enfeebled and the chanter sings "One Dozen Stood" with Brisk Recitation. He will then reduce the enfeeblement to weakened, then after 3 secs that will get reduced to sickened and 3 secs later reduction to nothing. So I like to have those three resistance chants up my sleeve. Not if ability points become scarce, but if there's room I will consider them.1 point

am not sure what makes a game underrated in the fallout context. as noted in the video, the reviews for fo:nv were actual good save for a few dreadful outliers, only two metacritic points lower than fallout 2 for perspective. the commentator waxes rhapsodic 'bout the original games and the "critical praise" they garnered. again, there two metacritic points difference 'tween fo2 and fo:nv. ... am gonna suggest fo:t is the most underrated game and not 'cause o' bad reviews but 'cause o' the vicious response from the hardcore fanbase. fo:t was, as it were advertised, a squad-based tactical combat game. no mutants allowed folks went apesh!te over hairy death claws and the reaver dance encounter. yeah, hardcore fallout purists were no less indignant 'bout fo 3, but fo:t were meant to appeal to the nma and codex folks. fo:t were not getting love from a new and different generation o' fo fans such as fo3 enjoyed. fo:t were not a perfect game, but the first 2/3 or 3/4 were an excellent turn-based tactical combat game and did not deserve the savage response it suffered from the fallout faithful. HA! Good Fun!1 point

You're not getting the big picture here, and you're not looking at it from their view. They completely FUBARed the EU energy market this way, and them keeping the valves closed didn't lessen our support for Ukraine in any meaningful way in the month that they had kept the pipeline closed. Germany also wants to get rid of their dependence on Russian gas, greatly lessening the value of the pipeline itself making it already dead in the water as it was.1 point

Thelee is on point as usual. If you're mostly casting use griffins blade + sun and moon or griffins blade + magrans favor axe, or my favorite combo, griffins blade + squids grasp, though to really get the benefit of squid you need to be in the thick of things to proc attempted parley. Effigys husk is amazing, though as priest of rymrygand I think you're honor bound to kill vatnir for being a phony and wear his high harbinger robes Which incidentally are the best robes for damage + action speed. You can get them mid game as soon as you can take on the messenger. I usually sail by to grab them around l14. Shouldn't be too hard with two priests given all that fire damage. Speaking of i'd consider running xoti as a monk or at least transcendent, also pallegina as herald is probably better suited but you can finish the game with any party so its a matter of preference mostly. You don't need con or resolve unless in the thick of things. Maybe like 8 CON max. 3 RES. Int -> per -> mig > dex > con -> res Max int/per, high might, over 10 dex, under 10 con, dump res Other nice gear, acina's tricorn acc buff applies to spells for some reason so it is a great hat for casters. Sky dragon wurm for pet imo. Charm of bones or strand of favor for neck. Gauntlets of accuracy. Sandals of ahu taka. Kuarus ring. Gift bearer cloth. Late game you might want least unstable coil and weyc gear, at least if you aren't doing a no rest run. Even in a no rest run id want it for megaboss fights. Can get Brilliant on yourself from storm of holy fire + coil, then salvation of time now and then and you've infinite spells. A cipher would also be a fantastic add to the party for ancestor's memory (among other things) which you can extend with SOT. Ydwin as pure cipher instead of xoti or Maia would work, she can do a lot of similar things priests can and some that priest cannot.1 point

knee jerk defense o' serial stoopid 'cause you agree with the viewpoint o' the protesters? ... "CBS Sacramento reported that some protesters reportedly used pepper spray in an attempt to keep would-be audience members out of the building. " the protesters had made threats during the week leading up to the charlie kirk event. as such, no police presence woulda' been idiotic. your feels that violence happened once the police attempted to quell protests is based 'pon? protesters were assaulting those who wished to view the event. protesters broke windows and vandalized property. am gonna suggest it is possible to argue that police did not intervene quick or forceful enough once violence occurred, but somehow you reverse and make the police actions the cause o' protester violence? serious? if the davis protesters had stood outside buildings, chanting their outrage at charlie kirk and the uc davis chancellor, there would have been no story making national news. 'course the proud boys and charlie kirk were much aware just how little it takes to provoke a violent response from young and stoopid in 2023. https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/28/us/pittsburgh-student-protest/index.html gen z protesters and a small number o' antifa idiots keep repeating the same mistake. if you are losing a battle o' wits with charlie kirk and the proud boyz, then you are clear doing something wrong. blame on cops, boomers or sunspots ain't helping. gen z woulda' so been triggered by william f buckley. ensuing violence woulda' been okie dokie if cops arrived? in 1963, while john lewis spoke to crowds in washington dc, would you have defended robed klansman heckling and assaulting people attempting to hear the future Congressman speak? doubtful. change facts and make so that at uc davis it were an invited speaker advocating for trans rights recognition and the protesters who eventual engaged in violence were the proud boys. @Chairchuckerwould be defending the proud boys in such a situation? be honest. from mr. lewis' final essay: Though I may not be here with you, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring. defense of self and defense o' others against immediate violence is excuses for violence. the presence o' cops, charlie kirk or michael knowles is so not reasonable excuses for vandalism and violence. btw, am not making some kinda inane equivalency argument. violence from white supremacists in the US is many orders o' magnitude worse than the stick and pepper spray wielding antifa nincompoops or brainless university undergrads. the attack on Congress on january 6 were so not the same as rando george floyd protests in sheboygan. the problem is the young liberal minded folks who see themselves as standing up for Justice while ignoring free speech principles not only fail to recognize the hypocrisy o' their actions, but they is time and again being suckered into the performance art spectacles engineered by the proud boyz and charlie kirk. honest, how stoopid do you need be to keep falling for the same bait?the proud boys set up the situation at uc davis and stanford 'cause they knew how easily provoked is genz and antifa morons. these campus displays is repeated and is engineered purposeful to have substantial cop and camera presence so as to display the hypocrisy and stoopid o' young liberals 'cause then folks like bruce will have ammunition when they engage in false equivalency arguments. btw am applauding young protesters for vocal criticizing individuals such as charlie kirk. maybe ain't a legal duty, but as we observed with book burnings, remaining silent when you see a wrong being committed or ignored is wrong. young protesters should be vocal. would be nice if those same undergrad firebrands bothered to vote too, but baby steps are required. the thing is, once you cross over from peaceful protest to violence, you are trampling on the grave o' folks such as john lewis, and such should not be tolerated. make excuses that you were provoked by the proud boys or police presence is idiotic. gonna say it once more: if you are repeated losing a chess match with the freaking proud boys, you are doing something wrong. fall for the same obvious ruse again and again andagainanadagainanadagainanadagainandagainandagainandagainandagain? that kinda willful stoopid is not forgivable. HA! Good Fun!1 point

counter-point: double-casting on priest of rymrgand would be great. just don't expect it to proc very much (maybe once per late game fight) to set your expectations appropriately. griffin's blade is a pretty solid choice though. why not dual wield stat sticks? griffin's blade + marux amanth, or griffin's blade + sun & moon, or griffin's blade + keeper of the flame (for the acc bonus aura), etc. fleshmender is solid choice (especially if you can make use of the weapon set or quick item slot upgrades), but later on in the game even on PotD i feel like it might be overkill in terms of defense for a priest, whom i'm assuming you're going to be mostly keeping away from the front lines. might want to take a page from vatnir and stealborrow his high harbinger's robe - very fast, option to go even faster, would help optimize your stats a bit since you're not investing a lot in dex. i'd also say that effigy's husk is available pretty early on, and despite being cloth because it's superb at such an early point it punches above its weight in terms of defense especially with the weird +3 slash AR, and i've actually gotten tons of value from the healing penalty aura that gets triggered, as well as being able to upgrade to ignore perception afflictions (blinding can be killer for a caster, especially a support-adjacent one; huge recovery penalty and ranged penalty can make it really hard/impossible to heal/protect allies in time, on top of making your offensive casting way less effective).1 point

The Tarnishing of Juxtia. It is a Souls-like. The MC is something (a glowing red ball) put into a pile of bandages and told to go and kill a god on the other side of the kingdom. The controls are rebindable, the map is helpful, and the game saves the position on exit. The issue is that I cannot find the list of weapons and their stats. The starting sword seems like a decent and reliable option - average damage and nice moveset, so I spent the limited upgrade materials on it. Also, the game looks gorgeous - clear stylish pixel art and smooth animations.1 point

To easier blackmail EU of course. Here is a theory which I posted few months ago, by one of Danish military analysts. Emphasis on theory. (Although few weeks ago I have posted some swedish newspaper here as well, which was talking about the same observation of unusually high RU activity near the place of “accident”.1 point
