^ Exactly what I was thinking. Plus, I think they'll go with 2020 for marketing purposes (based on Cyberpunk 2020, after all). It would be a cool nod to the original pen and paper and CD would totally do that.

Hadn't even thought about that. I know there is also a new PnP game in the work called Cyberpunk Red (at least that is the working title.) It's apparently supposed to bridge some of the time line between where 2020 (and 203X) left off, and when 2077 picks up. It's aimed to launch around the game, so I can easily see them revitalizing the whole IP in that manner.

The gap between the releases of The Witcher 1 and the Witcher 2, as well as between 2 and 3 was about four years so mid to late 2019 release is in my mind feasible. Granted it's probably not the most precise methodology of determining release dates, but I would think a significant chunk of pre-production work was done around the time the Witcher 3 went gold.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

Witcher 3 with guns.

Wouldn't that actually make it Twitcher 3?

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

Well, I find that ugly. Aren't they also bringing out a white one?

The white ones as well as the black ones both look ugly. I guess I am waiting for an ultimate Slim PS4 Pro model.

It seems that Metal Gear Survive needs constant internet connection, even if you want to play 'offline'.

Well, Konami...I'm going to leave you here with a pistol and a single bullet, make it count and don't cry too loud.

Google tells me that this game will be released on PS4, Xbox and PC (all non-mobile platforms). Do you have reoccurring internet connection problems in your home? Does your ISP have very low data caps or does the game significantly consume data?

New Fable game on the way. I always wanted to like them but ultimately found them too shallow to spend much time playing them.

Work is underway on a brand new, big-budget Fable game, Eurogamer can reveal.

Fable franchise owner Microsoft has tasked UK developer Playground, which makes the Forza Horizon racing games for Xbox and PC, with creating this new Fable, sources close to the project have told Eurogamer. Microsoft said in a statement it does not comment on rumour or speculation.

We've heard the new Fable is planned as a story and character-focussed open-world action RPG. A significant investment in its development is also planned, with some 200 people set to work on the game at Playground's newly-established second office in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

Fable 2 was legit good. Microsoft seems a mess though. Instead of just taking their time to rebuild the series foundations after 3 ended up a cash in derivative, they opted to shill the IP out for novel-low-return experiments with the Kinect. So they gutted their studio that would otherwise make the Fable games. Now they are building it back up. If I have ever seen a company fail to grasp they laying of a foundation, it is that company.

It didn't help that all that stuff was so laughably shallow that it makes you wonder why they bothered in the first place.

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

The humor of the original Fable turned me right off. Maybe I'm not British enough to get why yelling out Chicken Chaser a billion times is funny.

None of the above. I just think that constant internet connection for a game you could play on your own is a nuisance.

So is the new Fable game about chariot races?! Because all the developers have created so far have been the Forza Horizon games.

I can respect different opinions.

That's quite a feat, don't take it for granted. :p

Yeah, that was pretty much the same conclusion around here regarding D3.

I mean, I don't get how doing absolutely nothing is a nuisance, but I can respect different opinions.

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"
