US Election 2016

Sadly it's because the Queen bees and their drones have no stakes in this colony. They go as far as claiming that the hornets are actually worker bees.

It could be worse though, i've heard that in some colonies out to the west they are trying to establish certain privileges to the hornets, all while claiming that the worker bees are all the beneficiaries of such, thus ensuring that the conflict will continue. In the deepest halls the drone academies they are even proudly talking about ending "working bee"-ness or that peace will come to all of the colonies once the working bees have disappeared.

*wipes away a tear* This has got to be the single most tortured metaphor I've ever seen on this forum.

Now, now, no need to get emotional for a coffe break-metaphor. Besides, poetry and art has taught us more about the human condition than any thesis from a university.

[citation needed]

Genius, beauty, suffering, strength of will are machinations of the human mind, of which cannot be quantified or measured, neither can they be reproduced through the gathering empirical data. But they can be expressed through words, pictures and sounds, all of which who resonate to the human soul.

Never underestimate the power of memes.

Now you just sound like a Metal Gear Solid villain

Case in point, I just invoked the nanomachines-meme.

Cruz is the gift that keeps on giving. Look at his frowns of worry as Fiorina falls down the stairs.

Obama on retirement from the elected office...

Wasn't really sure if it belongs here or in the general funny stuff thread. He isn't up for election after all, on the contrary.

Most Presidents (not named Clinton) were happy when their term ended. I expect BHO is no different. Like I posted before I wish him nothing but the best. Go home to Chicago, build a library, give speeches, watch his daughters graduate college and just go away. Respect the dignity of the office.  Don't criticize the ones who come after or go globetrotting and meddling in other things the way Jimmy Carter has done.

It is an insanely tough job, it has never sat well with me when people try to paint it in a different light. You can be critical of a person's decisions and policies while still respecting the office and sacrifice it calls for. I consider it unpatriotic to do otherwise.

So.. it is unpatriotic to use your free speech? That's HILARIOUS. That is like people calling others unpatriotic when they criticize the army/soldiers even though the whole point of the army is tod efend the right to freedom including free speech. LMAO

Criticizing the president/prime minister/country's leaders is  the  height of patriotism. You must be pro NK. LMAO

Sometimes when I read social media I get feeling that candidates could have hired better people to run their campaigns. Like for example above picture is much better attack ad than anything that I have seen from official campaigns or their supporting organizations.

So we get Shadowrun with Hillary, Star Trek with Bernie, The Witcher with Cruz, and Fallout with Trump?

I was thinking more along the lines of Bladerunner LA, Mass Effect's Citadel, Diablo's Tristram, and Mordor.

Sometimes when I read social media I get feeling that candidates could have hired better people to run their campaigns.

The social media aspects of the campaign have been pretty interesting and varied from competent- though of course half the point of a competent campaign is that you don't actually notice it- to wildly and abjectly incompetent. Bernie's PAC saying they'd spend a million dollars correcting the record on social media was a distinct low point and really illustrated that behind the kind old man exterior lurks a horrendous melange of Iosif Stalin and a beatnik lentil eating hippie who'd surrender the country to ISIS while making Kumbay-ya the new national anthem and forcing people into work camps to grow his lentils collectively. Thank goodness we have Hillary Clinton, our first woman President, to light the way to prosperity, freedom and justice for all! From the moment she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary, first conqueror of Everest she was destined for greatness, she has shown responsibility, calmness under fire and a sense of decorum, restraint and responsibility that makes her the natural choice in November even without mentioning her immense experience and superb decision making skills. Come on you unwashed, dumb and lazy young people, get with the program and support her, or you're a misogynist ignoramus.

(To be fair, Bernie support preachiness is also grating, but at least it ain't paid shilling and is mostly believable support. And nobody else has been dumb enough to publicly say they're going to have paid shills as Correct the Record did which is actively counter productive as you end up presuming everyone is $Hilling. I have a felling there's a lot of Trump support as well, but I can't tell whether they're trolling, but Cruz supporters presumably think the internet is satan since they seem to be the rarest of all, except for the now defunct RubioBots)

That's fitting, since he previously starred in a spoof presidency.

Now all Sanders has to do is get like 80% of California....

All we need is a major gaffe for Hillary and he can do it.

Would that be a bigger upset than Leicester winning the EPL? I don't know but it would make me laugh.
