Some of you guys with the no exp stuff give me a break.love exp in game.Gives u a feel of power when you lvl.Divine divinity combat no ty either its a great game.How ever doesn't belong in a baldurs gate style type game.With six party members DND style game

D:OS combat is a lot better what they can salvage out of PoE or even BG is. Problem is it would take a lot of dev time to make something that good and would sacrifice on the beautiful world and writing and story

Say how hard it is to implement mounted battles in a game like this? It has never been done before!

 

Pretty hard, since the character needs to be constantly moving for it to work. It's one thing in a first-person game, where movement is very easy and you always have a very good idea of where you're headed, but in a top-down game like this where you need to click it would be super-tough to get mounted combat right without automating almost all of it.

Miniature Space Hamsters

You can keep those. I will miss miniature GIANT space hamsters! Those are much better!

Portraits for the weapons/items when looking at the descriptions. Pick-pocketing random npcs. Trees and grass swaying in the breeze. A consistent portrait aesthetic for my peeps (characters). Random npcs doing more than standing around and talking etc etc.

 

Something I'll miss from Baldurs Gate? Wizard battles still seem more epic in bg to me.

It actually has, in the Neverwinter Nights premium module, Wyvern Crown of Cormyr. tbh, it wasn't that great. Although the jousting was cool, but it was more of a scripted event - choose where to aim and watch the animation happen. It wasn't interactive at all.

 

I think the main problem with horses and moutned combat is that it's hard to create graphics for. Aside from a whole new set of animations, you've got to somehow get the game to redraw your character sitting on a horse, including all of his kit - it's not a trivial thing, and from what I've seen, it adds very little to the game. Sure, it'd be nice, but unless it's a specialised horse combat game like Mount and Blade, I don't think it's worth it, tbh.

I dont know what everyone loves...how can i know ? hmm let me think hard... to be a king ?... no! to be a virgin again ? hmm, NO! to win lots of millions in a lottery ? YES, YES thats it. Everyone loves to win millions in a lottery right ? YES!!!

But i´m sure that a lottery npc (puzzle) can be implemented into a city easily. Not that fraudsters didnt exist in medieval times or fantasy storys.
