RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS

Recommended Posts

People at Microsoft should probably feel a bit dumb for making that timed exclusivity deal and revealing that it's timed this early. Sure, you get a slight bump for your hardware sales and bigger one for software, but how many will actually buy an Xbone for a game they'll certainly be able to play on their currently owned platforms maybe up to a year later? Do people love Tomb Raider that much?

Ryse and Dead Rising 3 probably got some people to buy consoles, but buyers didn't know it'd be put on other platforms

With third party exclusives one knows always that deal is timed, because otherwise it is first party tittle. And therefore one can be quite sure that at least bigger tittles will come to at least some other platforms, because it would be quite poor business strategy for company not to sell their product on markets where there are demand for it.

Buying several years or even several months worth of exclusivity for tittle in current console market (beginning of generation cycle) is quite effective way to get people buy one console over another. Later in this console generation cycle such deals become much less effective, as there will be much less people that plan to buy new console.

I want to believe.

There is nothing to believe, game is made by different company, different studio and different team (although producer of game is one of founders of Microïds). Although there is always hope that new team can produce worthy sequel.

I don't know how it'll turn out, but Wild (from Michael Ancel (Beyond Good And Evil, Rayman)) looks interesting -

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

P.S. Totally off topic but the forum server time seems to be drifting at an abnormally fast rate. A month or so ago it was maybe 2-3 minutes fast, now it's a full 5 minutes ahead of official time.

I know, it's the elephant in the room for those who laser-focus on discrepancies.

Are they still doing this "Orc faction is free 2 play for everyone" thingy? I actually liked that, because Orcs should be the most in numbers.

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

A playable Ork Boy for F2P is the word on the street. If the 'Nids were a playable faction, I should think a 'gaunt works just as well (that and some poor Imperial Guardsman with his flashlight).

Read 2D Deus Ex and hoped for a "2D first person point'n click adventure RPG", not so much a "2D sidescrolling platformer action RPG".

Things just don't tend to work my way.

Eh. Well, I'm glad they are making a remake of the game as unlike Majek here I'm not a fan of hunting hotspots from pixelated puke mess, but couldn't they really do better than that? Looks like a playstation 2 game. Even the music is't that much better quality. Is this coming to handheld devices?

Dropped from instabuy to wait and see.

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition was announced for Windows, Mac, iPad, and Android says wikipedia, pretty much explains it.

I'm actually glad TIm Curry isn't in, something in the guys voice that makes me want to strangle him. But Leah Remini was great as Grace.

Well the bit I've played is ok, should play more. Gabriel's voice is...passable. Grace's as well. But the new narrator's voice ? Not good
