Screenshots don't do this game justice.

Rubella keeps screwing up the rhymes, which frustrates Ignicius to no end.

Huh, usually a memory bug looks more like this:

Every time you press Ctrl+Alt+Del Steve Ballmer Satya Nadella kills a kitten.  Please, think of the kittens.

I've been playing through a game that's been on my backlog, namely Consortium, which I supported over at Kickstarter like last summer. It recently got Master-updated, so I finally got to play it for real, as it were. In fact, it was very entertaining, like a bizarre Star Trek episode. The writing and the VO were often excellent, and the action was decent (I took a very violent route through the content, if I may reveal as much):

It was well worth KS (despite ending with a big cliff hanger). It's one of the best games I've played that I've kickstarted so far. :)

Those braziers make no sense. They're going to be put out now that it's raining and it's not like anyone is going to miss that big-ass tower and bridge. And, there are no safety railings despite the slick stone path being precariously close to the edge of that cliff. I hope the architect is an enemy because he clearly deserves a thrashing.

Have you gotten the gravity gun yet?  The gravity gun is the epitome of good times.

Heh, no, looking forward to it, though. Only three hours into a first-ever playthrough. Just barely got an SMG or whatever it is. I swear the pistol has the same sound effect as in Die Hard, when he's under the desk ... pow, pow, pow! ... thanks for the advice!

But they still struggle to do facial animation like the Source engine games for some reason.

И погибе Српски кнез Лазаре,
И његова сва изгибе војска,
Седамдесет и седам иљада;
Све је свето и честито било
И миломе Богу приступачно.

There was not a single playthough where I resisted the urge to kill the smug prick. Good on ya!

Don't worry about Kimball; play your cards right and his death doesn't even matter. In fact, every time I do an NCR playthrough I stand idly by and let the assassination happen.

Quote
“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

-Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>>
Quote

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."
