Yeah, I'm not going to pay that.

Mighty expensive all across the board, it's gonna dissuade a lot of people from buying newly released games.

Silksong has a release date for September.... as part of ACMI's Australia's national museum of screen culture exhibit. That that means for the actual release.... who knows.

I believe it when I see it.

Watched the longish Borderlands 4 gameplay reveal thingie. Looks like Borderlands 3, except with the potential of a less annoying story and characters. Maybe.
Didn't hate it, but didn't do anything for me either. None of the "Vault Hunters" look interesting to me.  It looks/feels less and less like "Borderlands" all the time, and more and more like a kind of generic action game. Except with giant loot explosions, ofc. Although, at least Legendaries supposedly won't be raining from the sky anymore. BL3 was absolutely ridiculous with it - and the fact 95% of them were useless joke gimmick weapons that would drop over and over (sometimes multiples of the same one from the same boss) made it even worse. Just have the 5%.

I keep hinting/reminding hubby that if he wants a new gpu or PC to play it (he's using a 1660 in the pc he plays BL on, I think, and some (newer/not ancient) Xeon type cpu), better get one soon if he doesn't want to pay out the nose just to play one game. So far he hasn't made any move on that tho.  >.> I guess he could play at 720p on mostly Low settings. He doesn't care much about fidelity/phat fps.

It will be worth the wait, I have been  following some of the opinions, leaks and updates and its going to be epic

But hopefully this delay means the PC release will be the same as the consoles

It's so weird. I see that trailer and I'm thinking.. damn, this looks so good. But then I imagine R* gameplay on top of it, where in every single job you end up headshoting 100s of bad guys and I'm like.. meh.

I enjoy Rockstar games, but the more they try to push "realism", the more out of  place the combat feels.  Rdr2 was the worst for this.  Feed yourself, feed your horse, clean your horse, also drink an elixir while you are getting shot in the head repeatedly to heal.

It always felt like they could just make your health considerably lower and drop 90% of the enemies you fight and the combat could atleast kind of match the rest of the game.... but I guess people like to feel like Rambo all the time in every game

Yeah, make hits more fatal and then scrap 75% of all enemies at all times. If it's still too easy, remove the auto-aim like in other games and you instantly have a more rewarding combat system. Wouldn't be mainstream enough, I guess.

While we're talking about it, RDO has shown that R* had no idea who the hell their target audience for this game was. Rarely have I seen a potential great game being butchered so much with stupid ideas. Battle Royale game modes, fantasy bounty hunter armors, immense grind for gold to buy the actual cool stuff (or pay $$$ ofc) .... it's just sad. They thought the people who play GTAO would also play RDO, but they were very wrong and now it's dead.

Although I don't play them anymore due to my wrist injuries, I always thought this was the way to go with singleplayer shooters. A player that can be killed easily but who can also kill everyone else easily (especially if they're consistently playing intelligently and making sure to out-position and out-gun everyone else) has always seemed so much more satisfying than both player and enemies just being damage sponges. Well, really, I kind of prefer it in all types of games, but especially shooters.

Depends on the shooter, it's like an ARPG, sometimes the fun is in killing a lot of people/monsters.

A GTA like game with a damage model like R6 of old would be fun, though

I liked shooters like Ghost Recon where you could die in 1 or 2 hits

So much time spent playing those. That series went more actioney though, people want gunfights and in GR you're mainly prowling around assassinating dudes.

Looks excellent, lots of nice Romance developments and some good GTA themes

I love the whole guns component and the sordid Vice element 🥂

I wonder if they will do something like rdr2 where they have the good bad scale but this time a relationship scale. Loyalty between the protagonists sort of thing

Well, I always played glass cannon builds with the intent to blow everything up before it could hit me in ARPGs, and if I get hit even once and instantly explode, it's my fault for getting hit. I don't know, games are just more fun that way, :p.
