However barter 6 requires 10 skill point so it's 3 levels worth of investment assuming you start with 1 point at character creation. Giving that you will be level 7 or 8 when you even have the option to meet him I would say it's doable. I may have invested too much into weapon skills too early. Not on more than one per character, but it really so far doesn't look like the party needs to push for high weapon skills that soon. I'm generally at level 6 or 7 but that does not seem to make much difference. It's not like you find weapons requiring that much at this point in the game. Still thinking about restarting. I'm not that far into the game yet and with a bit of meta information from the beginning it might be a bunch easier to construct characters that can handle what the game throws at them, check wise. Mamoulian War Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 And again more of Dark Souls 2 NG+. After getting few of the mandatory boss-fights and running around I went back for two bosses, which I have put into my "backlog" until I have little bit stronger character, because, I wanted to get some rare drops which could be get only during these encounters. First in line was Executioners Chariot, where I wanted to get the Lizard Staff drop from Necromancers. Luckily I got it on my third try, but unfortunately, due to my clumsiness I wasted that account, and died very soon after picking up that loot. What followed next was pure pain in the ass similar to sitting onto the big pile of nails. The encounter was still fine in NG+ but the way to the Undead Purgatory is insane... They have put 5 red phantom mobs just before the bridge, and another one, which was at the end in NG as well as a one time spawn is respawning in NG+... I've spent more than hour to get through that stupid area, again, because I was to tired, but to stubborn to just quit and go to bed without Soul of the Executioner in my possession... In total because of me constantly losing focus, I've needed 7 attempts to defeat him. So far, because of that, "the most difficult" bossfight in NG+ for me despite taking little bit less than 3 and half minute including intro 1 Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. I'm not sure that was such a good idea on inXile's part. I read a few posts about wrap around troubles with variables, like people suddenly having a negative 90% crit chance and fun stuff like that. Would be easily fixable with regular XML files. Kingmaker had easily editable save games (albeit terribly large ones) and that allowed me to actuall finish the game. I would have been stuck at a non-firing event at some point without the ability to simply set a new event date. Well "simply" as it is, but anyway. I'm sure someone will figure it out. Sooner than later. Also it seems I was wrong about combat always starting for the enemy. They all just seem to have ridiculous initiative values. Kind of love the humor in the game, and the item descriptions. "Goes pew pew pew when fired" for laser pistols and "It's a motherf'ing laser shotgun. What else could you want?" xD Someone actually figured out a way to add items into savegames, but it's looks like quite a process to set up. I'll try that, if it doesn't work i'll just play on 1.13 killed off Ja2.

Paradox games like EU4 do the same to make sure achievements aren't cheated. ...Of course, you can literally just use a Steam achievement manager if you really wanted to. And you can just Cheat Engine yourself infinite gold...not really sure what the point of it is - now that I think of it, maybe it's more of a multiplayer integrity feature than anything to do with singleplayer, that'd make a lot more sense. Keyrock Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Making good progress in La-Mulana 2. I defeated Badhbh Cath on my 4th try; it's was a pretty straightforward battle once I figured out how to manage the bats. After that I got the birth sigil. I've been going back through all the areas finding places that the sigil opens or activates. In the process I found a new entrance into the Immortal Battleground, which is a fairly tough area, and got my hands on the chain whip, which is an upgrade to the standard whip. ComradeYellow Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Attempting to replay Fallout: New Vegas. I haven't really played it much since launch and there's a reason for that: I played it constantly when it was released and it got to the point where the game was just way too easy, even on the hardest difficulty. I had Benny's pistol 'Maria' which appears to be a modified Browning Hi-Power able to literally take on anything that came at me because I had all the right skills that greatly amped my pistol whipping. So it kinda got boring, every challenge wasn't a challenge and all the characters and quests were more or less completed. I'm thinking maybe if I try a more non-combat oriented character and see if I can travel the Mojave using my silver tongue rather than weapons. Like a true RPG I suppose, playing from different angles.
ShadySands Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Since WL3 gives you the option of attacking the Patriarch when you first meet him I wanted to see what happens if you win. After one honest attempt it was quite obviously impossible to do with such a level/item/power disparity so I cheated. That's probably the fastest I've ever beaten a game. I didn't spoiler it because that's literally the first thing that happens in the game after the tutorial. On to my real playthrough I just beat McTavish and am back in the casino to face Brygo. I've rigged the place to blow as insurance in case he doesn't want to go quietly. So far I've been arresting everyone that I can and sending back to my base because I'm always Lieutenant Detective Good Cop. I don't like the way the Marshalls do business and think I can see where that relationship is heading. Free games updated 3/4/21

melkathi Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars is not very good. It has made no progress from that months long pre-order beta. Lazio will still poach him as it's peanuts for a club with actual finances as opposed to mine where we go out and panhandle. Yes, you can have custom portraits but I didn't bothered here is one of mine, I am really bad with editing screens and I dont want to spam it here so maybe later I will post another one 1 1 1 I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"
Humanoid Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Apparently as an Australian I can't install, purchase or even see CK3 in the store, as it's yet to pass the classification board. Keyrock Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 (edited) More progress in La-Mulana 2. I revisited Icefire Treetop, an area I briefly reached before but didn't explore much because it's a VERY punishing area and because I didn't know magma wasn't insta-death (I knew Lumisa Kosugi was this tough, but damn). Turns out that magma works like frigid water, it's a DOT, it just drains your health much faster. With that discovery I reached a part of Icefire Treetop I had never been to before. Fast forward many, MANY deaths and I got the map for the area and the Life Sigil. Plus, I found a new mini-boss ,Vedfolnor (that I was ill prepared to fight and died to quickly). ShadySands Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 (edited) Trying to dive into CK3 but it's so different even just starting In WL3 my base is getting pretty packed Spoiler I finally left the Springs and went on an adventure and right out of the gate I had to choose between saving some homesteaders against Erastus Dorsey or help out a convey that was under attack. I chose to help the family and kill the Dorseys. Killed some wannabe clowns at a clown museum and then even more at the Bizarre which our good ole pal Charlie Knowes now wants my help to take over. Killed some smugglers/hum traffickers and also "saved" some psycho cannibal girl to recruit her brother as a mechanic. No ruler designer at launch in CK3 so I'll probably set that aside since Kingmaker and WL3 are going so well for me right now. Edited September 1, 2020 by ShadySands Free games updated 3/4/21
majestic Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Fights in Wasteland 3 are beginning to be a strange combination of RNGesus hates me. It's entirely possible to have a party wipe, then reload, do the exact same thing (or near as) and come out unscathed. Deployable turrets also seem to be really strong in the beginning of the game. Enemies really hate the things but can barely touch them and they deal some goodly damage as well. Especially with the mechanic perks. Also not sure if it is a bug or intentional, but there's a small arms perk called Draw! that allows for a free shot after reloading, but it's not actually limited to small arms. It also works with rocket launchers, effectively reducing the AP for firing to three per shot. Rocket spam! So go and grab some explosives skill on your small arms characters while it lasts. 1 No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.
MedicineDan Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 So, I remembered someone mentioned Pathfinder: Kingmaker, so I fired it up for a bit today and I saw something that has put the breath of new life into the game. There's some sort of coin available that gives me huge bonuses and I have a pretty big stockpile of the things. Amazing! The kingbuilding stuff was always the biggest pain the arse. Now I don't have to micromanage quite so much. My kingdom is actually in pretty good shape, but I was getting tired of dealing with the crazy assed constant events. Good stuff! Mamoulian War Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Next in line for put down for later bosses in my NG+ was Flexile Sentry. I have made two tries about week or so ago, and there were two more adds to the fight. These adds were also dropping very specific loot for them, so I've decided to go for this boss some time later to be able to easier grind for their equipment. After hour and a half of chatting with guys on Twitch I had finally acquired all of their drops to my collection The boss fell down in very same attempt.
