  1. I... don't think Square Enix is one of the companies that would care what its customers have to say. Not to mention non-Japanese customers >.> Given that Square-Enix is trying to build to be a worldwide company and not a Japanese only company (look at the attempts to bring in new western developed games to their library like DS3, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Heroes and Generals, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Hitman, Absolution - out of western companies they've bought's IPs or with agreements with western companies) I'd think they might be more open to comments than you think. And - unlike Obsidian - they're the ones actually able to do something with the IP. If DS4 ever happens, Obsidian may not be the developer. EDIT: That doesn't mean its not fun to talk about here, though.
  2. Is it possible to go back to an earlier autosave? I think the game does 3 auto saves that it saves over in succession, so provided you have one that is prior to talking to Randy, you might be able to pick up at that point (if you did a lot of running around, however, it may have saved over all your post Randy conversations).
  3. Not only the time to "write a patch" has to be factored into it, but they also have to QA the patch to make sure whatever fix they put in doesn't break something else in the game (how pissed off would you be for them to release a patch removing the Mountie only to have the patch also - inexplicably - create a new game breaking bug 10 minutes of game play later?) Given that they're probably trying to fix as many of the big bugs as they can, they're probably doing a lot of fixes and QA over the last few weeks.
  4. I had the PS3 sometimes drop the voices for some reason, but it was definitely a specific instances and not permanent. Hopefully someone can help you with the PC problem though.
  5. Are you just doing counter-clockwise once? You're supposed to keep circling counter-clockwise until the objective is met. Other than that, I didn't find the control required too fast spinning to keep in the right range playing on the PS3 (it wasn't slow, either though!).
  6. I dunno, Alister struck me as a character who just didn't want responsibility. Anders struck me as a guy who was against authority even in DA:A. He wasn't against responsibility so long as there wasn't an authority breathing down his neck; he only accepted the authority of the Grey Wardens because they weren't the Mage's Tower, IMO. And he soon blew them off too (which again, was in keeping with the character).
  7. Yeah, to be fair, Anders was whiny in DA:A, just a slightly different kind of whiny. I didn't really feel the possession didn't explain thing - we don't know how different it made Anders in the ensuing months. So I just took it on face value. Still hated the guy in DA2 though.
  8. That brings back some nostalgic memories for me. When I first played F:NV on the main quest I was down on ammunition and hunted by Deathclaws and trying to escape through the desert...desperate to find this haven called " New Vegas". I remember going over a hill, it was night, and there was the town in all its shimmering glory. I have never been so happy to see a friendly location in any game Weirdly the screenshot made me nostalgic too... ...to play RAMPAGE and destroy giant box buildings. I finished my second Stick of Truth playthrough so started up the Lego Movie game...
  9. If you're talking about the original date on the Kickstarter, Obsidian has said repeatedly that the date on the kickstarter was a guess based on what they thought they'd originally be doing. By adding all the stretch goals they knew - and communicated here - that they'd not meet that date. I don't know where you're getting that they've ran out of money, that's never been discussed in anything I've read.
  10. Makeover Wig (wig slot), Makeover makeup (makeup slot), Makeover outfit (armor slot), Makeover accessory (gloves slot). The makeover accessories are all shoes, IIRC, and I think the shoes shown in the pic aren't the perfect match to that outfit (not 100% on that but that's the outfit I used and IIRC the shoes were pink but I think you can get out of the makeover without a perfect match too) so I'd check to make sure you have the makeover accessory on.
  11. I'm playing on a PS3 but haven't experienced the bug personally.
  12. I can't really help you; I did it fast and just continued spinning the L stick until that part of the sequence finishes but I have the uncensored version - I hope this isn't a problem created by the censoring!
  13. I had the Mage Dragon Breath maxed out with extra fire damage equipment plus the patches to heal every hit add PP every heal and add PP on fire damage, I never used a PP potion, usually would kill most average enemies in one-two rounds (dragon breath hits entire rows if you target the middle of the row) and those who weren't killed in one-two rounds usually died in their third round from the burning damage. I actually had to be careful on the final boss fight because I kept killing the character before triggering the cut scene and had to start over. I suspect there might be a similar method on all of the characters (my initial Thief character did a lot of damage backstabbing and IIRC there's a pp restore on bleeding damage, but there's a lot less hits in backstab so it's certainly not in the same power range).
  14. Yeah questlines for the pirates and federation struck me as a natural in context of the game (never watched the show, so can't really apply any suggestions from there).
  15. I played it on the PS3 and I used both hands on the four buttons; I found I was too slow to use one hand to hit all the buttons. Also, I found on the second time through you could miss some and still get accepted so perfection isn't required (I missed at least one).
  16. Noticed on the internet, people have been saying this is just a rip off of the French TV series Les Revenants (The Returned). So I decided to download this series and.. WOW, now I know why people are saying this is a rip off. The French version is a great show btw. Technically, Resurrection is based on a book series The Returned by Jason Mott and not Les Revenants (the film or tv show) nor on the comic book Revival. My understanding is that the production company had the idea and has looked into licensing both the French show and the comic before settling on adapting the novel (but I may be misremembering).
  17. Why the hell would you watch a college girl detective TV show. Must be awesome indeed. She was in HS to start with, only in college in season 3. I like mystery movies and TV shows. I'm currently watching THE CRIME DOCTOR series from Columbia, for example, and its a pretty good 40s era mystery series (not as funny as say, Torchy Blaine, The Falcoln or Ms. Withers or Michael Shayne, but still well done). Combine that with a show that has some really, really good lines and an appealing cast and yeah, I really liked the TV series. the movie is good too.
  18. Every time you fold a piece of paper over its thickness doubles, so we're dealing with an exponential here. You would be doubling the thickness 42 times, so if you start with a thickness of 1 then it would go 1 > 2 > 4 > 8 > 16 > 32 > 64 > 128... You do that 42 times and you wind up with a ridiculously huge number. I'm not great with exponents, so I could be off here, but I think it would wind up being X 2 to the 41st power Standard weight paper is .1mm, .1 mm x (2^42) = 439,804,651,110.4 mm = 439,804,651 m = 439,804 km Distance to the moon is 405,696 km
  19. Surely if it was Monty's MMO the Tank would be Fighting In Tunnels?
  20. This cracked me up. I laughed for sometime as they stand around pondering. Then I walked out the fire escape, just to see what would happen if you tried to leave, got a nuclear explosion and a credits roll. I also liked a lot of the girls dialogues against various other girls. "I can teach you how to eat souls" (or something like that from the littlest goth kid).
  21. I know Brandon's answered already. To my mind at least, it makes sense that putting out information about their contract with a third party wouldn't be wise (since it might create problems for both entities down the line in contract negotiations, I'd think). I wouldn't even be surprised if a NDA was part of the contract. I'd also point out that while asking for transparency is well and good, we've never gotten (and I imagine never will) get a break-down of how the money is being spent. And I for one can't imagine that any of us backers were really expecting monthly spreadsheets detailing every expense - $10 pens $10 paper $400000 business lunches $10 staples $10 paper clips $10 Brandon Adler's salary etc. I can't imagine that Feargus would negotiate a deal that wouldn't be long run agreeable (since they had their choice of pick in who they worked with, they had more leverage I'd think than if they were pitching an unfunded idea to a publisher).
  22. In Canada in SP:tSoT. What a weird place.
  23. Platform games kind of lost their appeal to me when we moved to 3D games and shooter has always been a hardsell for me just as I'm not inclined to be good at them.
  24. Take off that pink glasses. No, take off the hat. Why not wear both? Dyed to match the glasse, it'd be quite the fashion combo.
