  1. I still need to watch Prodigy. I'm surprised I've liked LOWER DECKS as well as I have.
  2. RIP Hogan. He was a big part of growing up watching wrestling in the 'Rock & Wrestling' period (which partially coincided with the period after WWE bought & tanked the local wrestling promotion and Ted Turner started WCW). But the last few decades have not been kind to his legacy.
  3. I was okay with Picard season one. If they'd changed the bit that imo super nerfed the ending and undercut their own themes about what the season was about, I think it probably would have landed in 'great' territory.
  4. He's not a weakling. He gets caught in Lex's trap, which makes sense in the context of the story. Ymmv
  5. Saw Superman. Thought it was pretty fun.
  6. Definitely a lot of modern marvel was built in that period.
  7. Jim Shooter. Started writing comics at DC when he was 13, Editor-in-Chief of Marvel from '78 to '87. Helped steer Valiant into a big publisher in the boom years of the 90s.
  8. As long as it's better than the last one...
  9. Journalist and former White House press secretary Bill Moyers Film and television composer Lalo Schiffrin (the Mission: Impossible theme, amid many works)
  10. He was the villain in The Phantom and in 1941 off the top of my head. But he died in 2023.
  11. Watched the last episode of Sherlock & Daughter. Fun series, overall. Hope it gets a second season; they wrapped the plot up that Holmes and Daughter had to unravel (and the murder that starts the story in motion is solved and the villain hoisted by their own petard (with a little help), but left enough lingering elements to fuel further stories. I ended up growing to like Dougray Scott's Moriarty as well, as the character's later appearance moved a bit away from his intro which felt a little to broad to me. Like the character was an actor and not a university professor.
  12. I guess winning the popular vote by 1.5 percentage points could be considered 'overwhelming' for sufficiently large versions of the number 1.5.
  13. Bit of a one-two punch losing Sly Stone and Brian Wilson. RIP.
  14. I love Rev. Rodriguez' willful ignorance to justify ignoring character, rhetoric and personality when accepting what someone says on face value here.
  15. Prolific comic writer and novelist Peter David.
