They added some bike lanes here and they're being hogged by joggers who don't want to get behind slow pedestrians on the sidewalk in some places. Also shrunk a four lane road to two lanes + middle turn lane + bike lane and people have already wiped out the partition and hit a biker. EDIT to say, this Eurotrip sequel has less comedy hijinks in it than the original. Nice to get a sequel out on the 20th anniversary of the original, but really needs more comedy hijinks. kthnxbai. just kidding, nice pictures, glad you had a good time.

I felt this way about a lot of Italian genre films until I just started saying "dream logic" and stopped thinking about it. Fulci is really, really bad in this way, but I actually like his films as I just roll with 'em.

I'm curious to see that one; your description is pretty much what I thought it'd be from the trailer (albeit, without the disapointment!)

I saw Alien: Romulus. Enjoyed it pretty well.

Yeah neither Gore or Tinto's version is being restored, which is very interesting for this type of project. I'd imagine Videl would be against it too if he was around.

I thought I wasn't in the cinema thread for a bit there... Anyhow, I'm excited for the 'restoration' of Caligula - a film infamously spliced with hard core footage and edited into a nonsensical narrative that made noone happy. Not directly restored to the (competing) visions of either writer Gore Vidal or director Tinto Brass, but somewhere in between trying to put back the narrative and preserve the performances that were lost in Bob Guiccione's version. Famously Malcolm McDowell disagreed with Videl on Caligula's motives and his performance was always alleged to be not only really good (I believe McDowell has said it might be his besr) but altered the interpretation of the story. Other actors saw their performances chopped - none worse than Helen Mirren who was all but edited out of the film.

Probably doesn't help with squaring information vs disinformation that IBA & IOC have their own issues, sure. The court thing is weird, seen a lot of claims about what was/wasnt presented there but haven't had time to see if I could fund a full statement. I'd imagine part of the problem with universal rules is there's probably not a lot of data on the wide variety of intersex possibilities and how they effect athletic ability.

From what I read, the Algerian and Taiwanese boxers werent disqualified until they beat specific boxers (a Russian and Bulgarian) at the IBA championships but the disqualification was on failed results the IBA already had from earlier tests. Further, the IBA has denied requests to provide the Algerian boxer or her coaches the test results, have not described what test were done and if translations I've read are correct haven't been consistent with what the tests showed. If that's true, seems like there's more reason to be suspicious of the IBA here than 'lol Russians'.

Saw it too. Thought it was fun. Through story maybe not as strong as it could have been, but it was overall fun.

Not sure how close they're going to be to suicide squad from a story perspective beyond what is set up in the trailer. In the comics, Creature Commandos are a different program from Task Force X, initially run by the army in WWII, Frankenstein & The Bride work for a government organization named S.H.A.D.E. (Super Human Advanced Defense Executive) and G.I. Robot was a third seperate WWII Era project. So they may be using Waller and the Suicide Squad concept to give a single hook that audiences already know to throw the characters together. -

There's a broadcast channel called Buzzr that I watch. Has repeats of Match Game PM, To Tell the Truth & Price is Right. I think they've had Family Feud, but don't think its on currently. But all I watched in their 70s versions, and all fun to revisit occasionally. -

Pretty sure they're sending people into the (infected) world to be agents to keep the population sustainable to some degree. Possibly in concert with other area.
