Only time I had green or red show up on a monitor (old style, not new LCD screens) the monitor was going bad. But that was the whole screen while yours sounds like its only part. Since you're on PC - are your drivers up to date? Have you verified the game files through STEAM to make sure there's nothing wrong with them? Have you downloaded the latest patch?

Have you tried switching buddies before trying to go to the next screen? Is the PS3 patch available internationally yet (it seems its available in the US, but I don't know how the international scene is shaping up) to see if the patch helps at all?

Yeah a compelling story is probably one of the things that appealed to me in the TRreboot. I enjoyed the story as it unfurled and also finding the various text pieces that hinted at the back stories going on.

I like the music. It has the great of effect of feeling new yet familiar at the same time which works for a game harkening back to the IE series without being the IE series.

I liked the first Tomb Raider when it came out (I'd been watching out for it back when the press of the time was presenting it as an action/exploration game with a male and female lead...) I thought that the second Tomb Raider wasn't as good as it exchanged exploration and puzzle solving for more killing AI people. I couldn't finish TR3 because it pushed away further from what I liked about TR and that was it for the series for me. Paradoxically, even though Lara is a murder machine in Tomb Raider Reboot and probably kills more people than Lara in TR 2 and 3 combined, I enjoyed exploring the island and I liked the system enough that...yeah I really enjoyed the new game even though I recognize that it has its own set of problems. I do hope that any sequel has more puzzles and exploration to it (most of the puzzles were perfunctory or unnecessary to the completion of the game in the reboot) and yeah...I'd be okay with a similar combat system coming into play.

The last anyone from Obsidian posted about it, the 3.0 patch was being tested by Ubisoft for release on console - http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/65338-patch-notes/ It released for PC on the 5, so I'm a bit surprised we haven't heard anything about the Consoles yet (almost two weeks).

Then by all means help me gain some perspective by explaining it to me. What you write here doesn't give me much to go on aside from you disagree with me, which would hardly be the first time. So I imagine there's more to it than that. Ideally, if I may, I'd prefer you give your response in prose because I find the character provides an unnecessary layer of obfuscation that wouldn't be necessary and would increase the likelihood of me missing your point. I don't know in the 15(?) years I've seen Gromnir post that I've ever seen him post out of character. If I did I purged it from my mind so I could only remember the in-character posts. That's why you do History of the World Part 1 jokes instead...

Adding to the soothing blowpiping of enemies in SACRED 2, I've also taken to JP grinding in Bravely Default.

Just to check, you're still on the first day correct (ie the first night with the aliens hasn't happened)? If not, there is a bug where you're sent to your room for getting lost in the woods on the first day and that triggers the first night incorrectly and messes up the school fight so that it can't be completed (until the patch comes out).

But then I generally like the series, and do think it has improved over the season.

Ah the Bradford Pear tree. I've seen that tree around. Nasty smell indeed. Oh god. Why would you plant such a tree? Its fast growing (unfortunately its breaks easy in heavy wind, IIRC).

Is that the tree that smells like rotting flesh when flowering?

Watched OCCULUS which was a pretty good horror film. More creepy vibe than jump scare, but I thought it effective. Then I rewatched RIDDICK. The Director's Cut adds some stuff in that I think help expand the story connections between this film and the last as well as the next. If you like Vin Diesel running around and tough-guy outsmarting everyone, this is the film for you. Then I watched MIGHTY JOE YOUNG (the original) which I hadn't seen since I was in the single digits age wise. Its a fun film, with some goofy aspects. Also includes - for a brief seen - a roster of period boxers and wrestlers including Primo Carnera, Bomber Kulky (later better known as the 1st Chief of the Boat on the TV Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea), Man Mountain Dean and Tor Johnson's "Swedish Angel" name rival Phil Olafsson. After that was THE CAT AND THE CANARY with Bob Hope and Paullette Goddard and the typical old dark house + comedy routines. Nice to see George Zucco and Gail Sondergaard show up as well.

Can you go back to a save prior to that one? Sounds like the save took the state of the quest but reset Cornwallis. Alternatively, have you tried going to Mr Hankey to see if the end of the quest will still trigger?

As I recall, you're supposed to be able to do a fart on that broken lamp and burn the blockage. Is the lamp lit? I can't tell from the screenshot. Been a bit since I was there, so I may be misremembering, but I think that's what you're supposed to do.

I do see the devs posting from time to time - its still done on their personal time. And IMO, they have been attacked a lot when they do post about things they can't control (particularly things that are part of official customer support - held over at Ubisoft), which may limit their eagerness to respond (that's totally my own assessment - I have no "secret" knowledge of the situation). Meee-ow. I am - for one - grateful that this forum existed. Its because this forum exists and because the early posters pointed out bugs that I knew how NOT to trigger the O Canada Quest Bug, and because of that I want to help out here when I have time. Obsidian has a reputation for good but buggy games; this release sure isn't going to change that. But I'm also not a big fan of just letting bull**** slide once someone has thrown it up on the wall, either. And some of the stuff posted here has been positively asinine, IMO. Things like the claim that patches didn't need testing and could be posted the same day without any kind of approval process. That said, you may think my posts are asinine too - that's your prerogative. There's an ignore option if you want to put me on it so you never have to read my comments (unless someone quotes me) if you think there is no value in my posts.

Why do you have to complete this book? Most authors I've read about in this situation put the current book to the side and return to it after they've done the new book rather than rushing it to an end.
