  4. If I remember correctly, the two companions shown in the E3 demo were supposed to be all you had for the early stages (with the possibility of one of them leaving you based on decisions made).

  6. In my opinion, this is precisely where 'immersion' should stop and 'fun' should take precedence. Running back to the town to sell looted equipment 20 times per adventuring day would greatly damage the enjoyment.

  8. Can someone explain to me what benefit speed related buffs actually give you. Obviously, I understand they make you faster but where does this transfer into a tactical choice. For example, why would I choose the Paladin speed modal over the accuracy one.

  10. Agreed. I've been playing Wasteland 2 a lot too recently. I feel we should be able to judge a scene and think 'This chest may have a trap attached because of x, y and z' then we use the ability to confirm. Whereas, putting extravagant traps on any random box damages immersion.

  12. Druid love here. I love the idea of some badass dude who wanders out of the forest and goes mental on the bad guys.
  13. I'm hoping when all this is said and done someone creates a nice tutorial to explain everything in its basic form. Otherwise, I may be so overwhelmed with stats I won't even be able to select my characters attributes for the volume of permeatations.

Please tell me the DoTs are going to be nerfed in the next patch as combat seems to be more about 'can i deal with the DoTs before they kill me' and less about working out varying ways of dealing with specific enemies. I have no issues with poison being a significant consideration when dealing with the beetles but it is far too devastating in its current form.
  15. Just as a point, I have never played any IE games (due to age). I bought this game as I love RPGs. I'm loving the game with the reservation that the combat needs more feedback and the mechanics need slightly tweaking. Overall, I think the die hard fans are expecting too much.

  18. So, ultimately, you can't hover over at the start of combat and have all the information available, even with a high Lore value?
  19. Agreed, this is imperative as this is the foundation of the tactical combat decisions. As an aside, how do you find out enemy weaknesses for different types of attacks (Crush, Slash etc)?
  20. Maybe a momentary increase in size of the selection circles beneath the character and the target it has successfully engaged; almost like a single pulse?
