That's sneak attack, not backstab. Backstabbing can only be done from stealth, which makes it too situation bound.

This is getting a bit bizarre. In my opinion, the release of the white March two should include the release of the novella in edited or unedited form as following the release of the expansion the team will almost certainly move onto other projects.

I couldn't agree more with all of what you said . Both with your assertion that a level scaled game should include easy and hard areas regardless of your level, as with your assertion that fears concerning slippery slopes are generally unsubstantiated.

Patches are making this game better and better. So good in fact, that I just completed my third playthrough which is something I would have never expected. All I can say is that if you haven't played in a while, you've got a vastly improved and more enjoyable game coming towards you. That said, I would say that you are at about 40-50%. Even so, there is no harm in starting a new game at this moment. Surely it would take you literally only a few hours to make the same progress as you have made so far. That said, if you are inclined to do so, I would certainly recommend you to take a look at some of the fun and exciting class builds here on this forum. I'm used several of Boeroer 's, AndreaColombo' s, Torm's and PrimeJunta 's builds in my past two playthroughs and had an absolute blast . Edit : one cool and exciting change is that as of WM1,you can respec your main character and your selfmade character' s attribute points, skills and abilities. No need to worry about anything character related anymore, apart from your choice of class!

Sometimes, as time passes a special hireling comes along and knocks at your castles'gate to offer his services. If that is the case, the game will display a notification and asks you to take a look at the stronghold menu so that you can see whether you want to hire him or not.

The text of your post is written in white, so at first sight the text seems invisible. I did read your build though. I love it and I'm going to try it out on my next playthrough .

I like the suggestion regarding the outcome display, but not so much status displays. I would indeed care much less about the random probability of an enemy raid if it would be tied to short story lines and if, besides the combat, the stronghold would offer more memorable quests, characters and a more lively atmosphere in general. Overall, I would love to see a form of a stronghold (preferably a smaller enclosed area wherein each room has a purpose, such as a pirate ship) return in PoE II, including (semi) randomised events and a stronghold tied dungeon area, provided the stronghold would offer interesting characters and quest lines.

As a godlike, can't equip the hood from your inventory. When you enter the room from the 'Catacombs' entrance a dialogue pops up asking you whether you want to don the hood and enter the room alone, don the hood and enter it with your party, or not don the hood and enter it alone or with your party respectively. This dialogue and the corresponding options also obtains for godlike, which normally cannot don any kind of hood or wear any kind of helmet. (edit: I tried this with my male moon godlike and entered the room with donned hood alone, thus preventing conflict) (edit 2: the prerequisite for this option is that you need to have the hood in your main characters possession and that you learn the correct passphrase, see Evilcat's post)
