  1. I... don't think it was destroyed... at least not when I saw the ending cinematic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it was in the lightside ending. i think were supposed to assume that if youre lightside, then the remote defeats go-to. if youre darkside, then go-to defeats the remote.
  2. IF they were to have revan and the exile as protagonists or joinable characters in kotor3, the best solution ive seen presented is i believe enderwiggins, who said something like the game should be broken down in to two perspectives, where you play a certain amount of the game as the exile, then when you get to a certain point, you play a certain amount of the game from revans perspective, then at the climax both meet up.
  3. i dont think you understand what people say by you (the pc) being in the "open" and the other jedi being in "hiding". just curious (im not trying to be condescending), but do you know much about the whole concept of how a jedi has the ability to "hide" their presense in the force and such? or how they choose planets that are teeming with life or various other "factors" to help hide their presense in the force? because thats exactly whats happening here. youve lost your touch with the force, hence YOU cant hide or mask your force presense and thus can be felt by those who still control the force. the other jedi CAN control their force presense and thus mask it and make it much more difficult to sense them in the force. as for a)"i am not a jedi", kreia explained EXACTLY that in a line of dialogue. it went something like this: pc: but why are they after me? i am no longer a jedi. kreia: regardless of whether you left the order, the sith believe you to be a jedi that can hurt them, and that is all that matters. in other words, just because YOU say youre no longer a jedi doesnt mean that the ones chasing you think "oh well, he says hes not a jedi, even though he was powerful in the force and was a major contributer to the mandalorian wars. but if he says hes no longer a jedi, i believe him and will now stop hunting him." the ones hunting you believe you to be a jedi (ie. ability to destroy them) and thus whatever YOU (volourn) want to believe about your character is irrelevant.
  4. my idea for kotor3: make a story where the ending is actually an ending and we arent left wondering what happens to our pc. <_<
  5. i keep seeing these offers for a free 14-day trial to this game. ive always wondered if you can get a feel for the game in such a short amount of time. can you tell if it sucks that soon? or will you get swept up in the "novelty" of it early on, then realize its a waste of time?
  6. whats your point? what part of "lucasarts is in charge of making the manuals" didnt you understand? all that means is lucasarts decided to cut back on kotor2s manual. seriously, its fine that youre upset with obsidians product, but it completely takes away from your point of view when you blame things that ARE NOT theyre fault, such as the quality of the manual. thats like blaming obsidian for poor customer support because the guy at best buy who sold you the game was a jerk to you.
  7. this thread has got me interested in starting a new game of ps:t. but im in the middle of a play through of bg, although im kind of losing interest in the play through.
  8. oh come on, you mean you dont like endless combat after endless combat with no real story being told? :D yeah the last 1/3 (or whatever all that fighting constituted) was a downer, considering how well the rest of the game was. and i agree about the voice acting. very well done.
  9. Actually I seriously doubt that the manual and packaging had anything to do with either Bioware or Obsidian. That's stuff that the publisher takes care of. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it IS something the publisher takes care of. thats not just speculation, thats a fact. the devs commented on it a while back when someone asked if the manual was going to be more indepth than kotor1 manual, saying that they had no clue and that it was lucasarts who took care of that.
  10. that would have made much, much more sense. random items, but within a specific category, such as all lighsaber stuff randomly generated among the different dark jedi/sith enemies, and/or bins/lockers in force specific areas (korriban academy, jedi enclave, etc.).
  11. story and characters were very interesting, but the overall game was ruined (for me atleast) by the bugs and the framerate issues. bloodlines with no bugs and better fps? 9 or 9.5 out of 10. bloodlines in its current state on my computer? 6 or 6.5 out of 10.
  12. its never actually said for certain, but if you notice through all your conversations with the other jedi masters, they had never heard of a force bond that actually killed both people involved, which sort of hinted that kreia was using the force bond (which was real) but exaggerating it (saying you would die if she died) in order to make sure you a)kept her with you and b)didnt decide to kill her yourself out of annoyance.
  13. and a -1 int penalty for volourn.
  14. i have no problem with the way the eu went. the conclusion to the yuuzhan vong invasion was a bit....unfulfilling (much like kotor:tsl ending), but the bulk of the eu story has been decent (albeit with some really, REALLY dumb ideas thrown in).
  15. the ending is definitely one of the sore points for me. it just screams kotor3, but unfortunately, i dont think kotor3 will continue the story and thus well never know the conclusion.
  16. i hope you copy and pasted this on the lucasarts forums as well, since they have more say in whether a patch will be made, and how long or rushed the product was.
  17. im going to stick around. i had the xbox version and, quite frankly, it worked 99.9% perfectly. i havent seen the pc version, but hopefully a patch will fix the majority of the issues people are currently having with the game.
  18. considering the person has a grand total of ONE post, and used that post to make this thread, i think its safe to assume he/she is just a troll.
  19. this doesnt bode well for me.
  20. you didnt play darkside and find a certain holocron on korriban did you.
  21. this is one of the features im not a fan of. the combat is easy enough as it is, there shouldnt be a need for auto-rejuvination over time.
  22. im curious, do people who are new to the site have a bookmark to just the general forum? i mean, if they go to the main forum index, its rather easy to see "SPOILERS forum" as one of the forums available, yet they post their spoiler-ish questions in general. it boggles my mind how either lazy or ignorant people are. yes, its anal, but its a pet peeve of mine. <_<
  23. or maybe you got to play a planet i was never able to.
  24. good luck with that. "
  25. looks like chris avellones job is the most desired one (he is senior/lead designer, right? )
