i cant believe the chick with no eyes (literally) is getting the most votes. if this were real life everyone would be calling her a freak and pointing at her laughing.

imo, the only way well see revan or the exile as a pc again is if they do an expansion pack rather than a full blown kotor3. it would have to be similar to hotu for nwn, where you could continue as a high level character since its a bit shorter and thus the leveling could be made slower and where youd end at level 30 or something like that. otherwise, storyline wise it might work, but the game balance would be completely out the window. another full game would mean the pc would pick up from where he was (anywhere from level 20 to level 27, assuming you didnt use the korriban level up cheat) and keep adding levels for the next 25 to 35 hours of gameplay. not to mention the more i think about it, the more i dont want revan and the exile to be pcs. i had wanted revan to make an apperance in kotor2 when i had heard it was announced. but having seen the result of that, i wish i could take my vote back and wish revan wasnt mentioned. i think something similar could happen in kotor3 where if they are mentioned or seen, people will wish they had just been left alone. im leaning more in the boat now where i want a brand new pc, but at the very most, they mention what happened to revan and the exile through some small little dialogue you have with a jedi master or something. and then nothing else said about it and the story of kotor3 unrelated to that.

i wonder if well know by e3 (or whatever that big event is) if obsidian is working on their third title.

HUH ?!? Try playing any of those games as a Barbarian, and then playing through as a Sorcerer, and tell me there's no difference. Playing through KOTOR (2 especially) is basically the same no matter what class/gender combo you use. So you get slightly different dialog trees, BFD <_<. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> same story whether youre a barbarian, sorcerer or whatever.

i want kotor3 to be on the playstation2, not the xbox. and i want mike gallos job so i can do it right (or atleast not be so shady about it).

theres a bunch of threads in here about this game. you might want to check those, since a lot of people have given their impressions of the game in those threads. but quick summary from my point of view: fantastic promise, fell short by bugs and seeming shoddy programming by troika.

i still dont get how the ending that was cut ruins what you accomplished. if thats your logic, then kotor1s temple battle made everything you accomplished utterly pointless since you are "forced" to kill juhani and jolee if you intend on being darkside.

as the numbers guy stated, you are the "main star" of the game, atton is supporting cast. the main guy always somehow squeeks out a victory. you cant compare a death of your own character to the death of a npc party member. but im not going to argue any further because we obviously see it two different ways. you think it makes sense for a just-turned-jedi to be able to defeat a powerful sith lord. i think it doesnt.

because you keep talking about game balance and character stats. i NEVER argued that from that point of view atton couldnt beat sion. i simply stated that from a STORYLINE point of view, realistically atton couldnt touch sion. and since im more of a stickler for story than game balance, it makes more sense to me that atton would lose to sion since a newbie jedi should NEVER be able to take on a sith lord and win. ever. thats just unrealistic in the star wars universe. heck, luke skywalker was getting his butt handed to him by the emperor until vader stepped in, and luke was "the son of the chosen one", whereas atton is just a nobody.

sure it does. and youre not the one writing the story, obsidian is. and in their "alternate" ending thats how atton goes down. storywise atton would most definitely get his ass kicked by sion. the story part isnt cheesey, its the gamplay and leveling aspect that is cheesey that would even make it possible for a newly turned jedi to be able to defeat a freakin' sith lord.

Atton is the same sort of level as you Atton has a tricked out lightsaber and Mandalorian battle armour and AC in the 50's. Sion will drop in two rounds. Even if Atton has to fight him for an hour and he keeps getting up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> he said storywise, not gameplay wise. you gave an explanation gameplay wise. if you just ignore "levels" and "stats" for a minute and just focus on the story, sion would wipe the floor with atton. think about it, sion has been a sith lord for, how long, atleast 5 years, and a darksider for more. atton was nothing but a crappy pilot a couple of days ago. i doubt he mastered the force in a weeks time and able to compete with a sith lord. so storyline wise, atton wouldnt have a shot against sion.

it took bioware about 3 years to develop, what, 7 or 8 planets (including engine). it took obsidian over a year to develop 7 or 8 planets (already existing engine). asking for 15 to 20 planets is pretty much out of reason since a developer would have to devote too much time for, realistically, too little gain.

as long as you didnt get any story inspirations from barbara hambly or vonda mcintyre, ill be okay with any story you guys came up with.

depends how the pc version gets treated. if they release a patch (or enough patches) that eliminates the majority of the issues, especially the major ones, promptly, then ill have no problem getting another obsidian game. although from my personal experience, i had no major glitches in my play through of the xbox version. no lock ups, no slow downs, no freezing, no blackscreen, nothing other than the fact that force powers i never use anyways didnt work as they were supposed to. so if all their games provide me with the same gaming experience i had with kotor2 xbox, then id certainly buy any and all their games.

then that means yoda loathed luke skywalker, what with putting him through the paces to train him as well. both wanted their "student" to become as powerful in the force as their potential was, but the only difference is that yoda (the jedi) did so in a more "kind" way while kreia (the sith) did so by what makes a sith a sith, ie. manipulation. if she loathed you, she would have killed you any of those moments she had a chance. she saved your life a couple of times because she didnt want you dead.

not true. there are plenty of times when playing a lightside game has impact on the story when darkside doesnt. atleast to the same, if not more of a degree, than the games you champion.

actually, she doesnt. she saw the exile as her vindication and thus she wanted the exile to be powerful to prove to "those who cast her out" that her teachings werent a failure. not sure if youve read it, but its much like "traitor" and vergere.

just a bit of constructive comments, but i think you might want to break that down into paragraphs. its a bit tedious to read one big paragraph like that.

they posted those chronicles near or after the release of the us xbox version (ie. the version they cared about), so yes they do contain spoilers, and no lucasarts doesnt care about posting spoilers.
