  1. This was awhile ago, but I'll answer it anways since it never got one. If sending in a resume via email, DO NOT compress it (unless it is requested because non-compression causes server conflicts). It creates more of a hassle for the person reading it. Think about having to read 200 compressed resume's When you save your resume for emailing, be sure to save it in Rich Text Format (*.rtf). This is the most compatible format between different text processors. I would say include the coversheet, but in a seperate .rtf so that they have the option to view it or skip it. You have to remember you're not trying to capture their attention as much since they have to open each one to see what it looks like anyways. (I could be wrong here) Also, I highly suggest creating a resume website that includes pretty much (maybe easier to read, little smoother flowing, "prettier"). Include this link in the email that you send as well as in the resume itself. This creates a failsafe for if your resume becomes corrupted in transit or they don't have the correct software to open the file. Anyone have anything else to add? Hope this helps.
  2. I COULD play with the story, but i enjoy calculations too much. It's fun to decide whether or not the guy smashes the other guy on some limb with his weapon and it's really fun to use wierd calculations to do so
  3. guess i should have clarified the list I used It's from the Jobs page (the link at the top) or Here!
  4. Possibly a bit off topic for the forum, but hey, it might just help the developers! somehow... I'd want the Gameplay Programmer position. I'd have so many ideas I could implement my brain would be happy to have some of them out and used
  5. I've started out learning VB, HTML, XML, and XHTML for personal use. I'm about to get started on C, C++, and possibly C# in the end depending on how the market is looking for it, and maybe just for fun. Going to be taking lots of Math and Physics <sp> classes. It'd be fun to take a Pyschology course as well to possibly incorporate it into some type of AI in the future. I'd also like to learn Java for fun only problem i have with math is i keep forgetting all of theorums and my teachers get angry with me when i do it a different way and still get the right answer my eventual goal is to get into game development/design (like 1/3 of the people here)
  6. it makes me sad i could only vote for one... hehe, and i already forgot what it was
  7. It sounds like a neat idea, however there are already force powers that use telekenisis style attacks. Throw Lightsaber for example. The downside to the skill your talking about is that it would not be very effective in many of the battles as well as only being effective to the point of tossing all of the objects in the area at your enemy. So unless it was extremely damaging and there were objects littered EVERYWHERE, it (in my opinion) wouldn't be worth getting. Unless they added the possibilty of having your lightsaber knocked out of your hand and the only way to get it back without running to it was Force Telekenesis (Force Grab maybe? or would too many bad jokes spawn from that...). There is also Force Push which is another similar skill. Other uses maybe. Evil: Stealing from shops? Rigging the races? Tripping innocent bystanders? Putting kittens in trees? :D Good: saving someone from falling off of a cliff? Tripping dark forces? Rescuing kittens from trees? Anyways! it's an interesting idea, but it would need to be expanded upon due to the extent of what would have to be done to have the objects there that could be thrown then there's the short blunt list of deciding how things have to act: object placement, removal from old placement, movement, deciding if object hits/misses, decide if it survives hit/miss, decide where it lands/or fragments land, decide whether non-destroyed objects (i.e. crates) should still be useable if not used yet. shouldyou be able to thrown an unemptied object?, ect, ect... Even though it's not in my place to give you an actual answer, that's my opinion on it
