  1. law & order showed an episode last night about this where the "killers" got their idea from a game that was very similar to grand theft auto.
  2. no offense but...umm...you refrained from reading anything about the game so it would be a surprise, but now that youve got the game you ask who the main character is? also....i think its quite obvious after...oh i dont know....5 seconds who the character is.
  3. more options, like user made mods. part of the reason i enjoyed kotor1 so much was the stuff that users made that added to the experience, plus better graphics.
  4. ramzas obsession with jefferson is rather.....unhealthy.
  5. nope, not yet. the sale ends the 10th, so i guess i have a bit of time left to decide. i think itll be an impulse buy if i do. i have to pop in to future shop to pick up a copy of a different game, so if i see it and im in the mood, ill buy it. i wish more people would comment on the pc version though. i was hoping to see some fan reaction first, but thus far the comments have been much less than when the xbox version was first released. that could be either a good or a bad sign.
  6. my guess is that revan/exile wont be in k3 (or atleast not as main points of the story) and we will have a brand new protagonist. looks like if we want "closure" for the revan/exile cliffhangar we have to wait for a fanfic to write it.
  7. haha wow dont get too specific on us.
  8. i dont think ive ever heard that expression before. are you sure thats how it goes?
  9. who ranks things out of 4?
  10. you were insane even before the game was released.
  11. How by starting 100s of threads about the release date? Then deleting them as soon as someone replies to them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> bahaha :D
  12. when i went there the aussie dollar was something like 1.50 canadian. so not only did i get killed when exchanging my money (ie. i had to pay 1500 canadian to get 1000 aussie), but then the price (atleast of books and some foods) was sometimes double what i pay back home.
  13. same thing happened with kotor1. i guess the reviewers either prefer consoles, or have more unrealistic expectations for a pc version.
  14. have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling it to see if that helps? if that doesnt help, then i dunno.
  15. id go with fallout 1 first, then fallout 2, then torment. never played soulbringer.
  16. why bother when you can pick up tsl at future shop or best buy for $39.99 anyways, without any trade ins.
  17. after kotor2s ending, i dont believe they have. had they chosen not to do it that way and just not even mention revan in kotor2, then i agree that a new protagonist would work just fine. but when you leave a story as wide open as that one with multiple clues as to what we "might" see in a future game, they need closure. i mean, it would be like empire strikes backs ending happening, where luke and leia are aboard that medical frigate and chewie and lando go after han. then return of the jedi doesnt mention luke, leia, lando or chewie, and suddenly has some guy named johnny spacejumper showing up out of nowhere and being the one to a)rescue han and b)confront vader and the emperor. you missed my point (or atleast your answer didnt have anything to do with what i was trying to say). im saying that the current trilogy (if thats what it is) needs closure and adding yet another protagonist makes little sense, as i reasoned above.
  18. what requirements must be met for this to happen? i never got any dialogue option to get her to do that even when i was ds and wanted to.
  19. i think it also depends if a patch is actually needed and/or if lucasarts allows or funds a patch. the game hasnt even been released yet so how is obsidian supposed to know whether it needs widespread patching or not?
  20. or maybe tie it in to the whole "getting in with the exchange" plot. afterall, davik was the owner before revan, so maybe he had some secret documents about the exchange that you could find and use to get you in favor with the exchange on nar shadaa.
  21. are you saying that we shouldnt be witness to any cutscenes that show events that the "pc" has no knowledge of yet? or are you just commenting on the dialogue trees not necessarily matching what we "know" yet?
  22. i wish i had your willpower. if im playing a game i like, ill end up playing non stop until a)nature wont stop calling or b)im dead tired and need sleep.
  23. but that begins to get ridiculous. each subsequent game has a jedi that was mysteriously absent the previous game, but yet powerful enough to suddenly appear and follow his predecessors? then if they have kotor4, the new guy goes off in search of revan, the exile and the kotor3 pc? then in kotor5 the new guy goes off in search of revan, the exile, kotor3 pc, and kotor4 pc? rinse and repeat. that would be, imo, lame story telling. if they wanted a different protagonist for each installment, then they shouldnt leave anything open ended and/or not include the previous antagonist in the story.
