You've got a point there, and that's definitely a bug.But you should probably deal with Tech on a bug-resolution rather than just totally wrecking the entire storyline cause of a bug. An issue many people have yet you're crusading all over the place telling them to stop complaining and just load their save that doesn't exist.

Chris Avellone

Yes. But even if they had, it's too late in development for him to make a difference.I didn't realize it was that far along in development. It just seems like they announced it recently, but I guess it has been a while. Well, I still hold out some hope that he can get in on some Obsidz projects. Yeah, maybe not, but as long as everything ended amicably, there's always the chance that he could even come in on future PoE franchise offerings.Bethesda officially revealed it quite late, only 5 months before release. It's coming out in November, so it's pretty much finished now. I doubt he was secretely working on Fallout 4 before, but maybe he could join for a DLC? Who knows. There's always his job as a professional stretch goal. He's already been suggested for D:OS 2 and Larian supposedly are considering it. Maybe they could still snag him for the enhanced rewrite of D:OS 1. I dunno if it's really his style, though - a little too high-fantasy, I think. Avellone is at his best when he can do weird gonzo stuff. Uhhhhh no thanks. The writing in D:OS is beyond saving. Maybe he can contribute to the sequel but I doubt it with Larian being based in Belgium. I'd like to see Chris do something he's passionate about and go all in. This kickstarter stretch goal stuff where he would just write a few lines seems like a waste of his creative talent and basically publicity stunts at this point. -
Sawyer's attitude towards the stronghold is pretty much the reason why it failed. Also calling bull**** on his claim that the amount of people that dislike stronghold mechanics are close to percentage that loathe romance. Just sounds like deflection and excuses towards one of the most criticized aspect of the game. Even people that loved the game overall called Obsidian out on the stronghold and considered it the most disappointing feature. Instead of excuses, I'd like to see Josh actually own up considering his post on another forum where he even claims "yeah we could have done more with the stronghold". Doesn't sound like a money issue to me. More like a Lead Designer decision.

Chris Avellone Novella when?
PIP-Clownboy replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Probably after he finishes his Arcanum playthrough. -
Now that is something i can get behind. CDPR and Chris Avellone? Yes please! Moving from Southern California to Poland while taking a paycut so he can work on dumbed down console focused games? Sounds like tragedy in the making. No thanks.

Anything but high fantasy

You can get the ingredients for exceptional by the time you reach defiance bay so lvl 3-4 at earliest. Resolution is better than any Battle Axe beside Edge of Reason, and arguably better enchanted to superb without even bringing Purgatory into the equation. The Sabre that shoot fireballs is also extremely useful for high might characters, especially Barbs, as it gives them a reliable ranged option.

It is better than any other Sabre or Battle Axe in the game in my opinion, only Wē Toki's special enchantment Disorienting together with Piercing Lash We Toki doesn't have those enchancement's in the release version (I assume you're talking about the beta where it was awesome). It just has overbearing now.

To make matters worse, the only decent Battle Axes come very late in the game. We Toki is ok but not superb which makes close to worthless unless you use a sky dragon scale considering when you find it and then there is a mediocre one from rng Stronghold merchant which you may never even see. The only really worthwhile battle axe is near the end of Cad Nua.
