  1. Well I don't see the AI scouting around disarming your traps. How many more advantages do you really need now?
  2. After reading the journal entries I had no real issues deciphering which was the main storyline since I actually read the dialogue. Do you also want yellow ! over quest givers as well?
  3. Did you also quit BG2 because you couldn't to the Underdark fresh out of Irenicas' Dungeon? The main quest progression in POE is really not that difficult. You can easily rush to Act 3 like at lvl 6 and the map will be open. A completely open world Isometric game would be pretty cool, Darklands style. But this is a BG successor. .the same game that would not allow you to enter Baldur's Gate until you progressed.
  4. The weaker traps are still useful early game, less so late game.. which makes sense balance-wise. Being able to petrify, hobble, weaken, sicken an entire encounter is very good already. If they were on par then 3-4 traps would be an I win button for nearly every encounter.
  5. On the other hand being able to place only one feels absurdly limiting. I think there's a middle ground that can be found. A free level 4-6 spell with super accuracy. Is real good. Their damage isn't even remotely close to the spells they mimic, so your point is invalid. Traps often have more effect than just damage. Which makes your point invalid.

  7. Freedom to roleplay has nothing to do with spamming 50 traps at once. But you do have the freedom to type iroll20s into the console, which is the equivalent.
  8. Arcane Veil is nearly instant. Between Dimension Shift, Safeguard, Veil, Bulwark Wizard is pretty untouchable if you're paying attention. As for damage.. 200+ crits on Blast of Cold. Gimped, I think not.
  9. ... have you actually watched that video? Because what you're saying doesn't means what you think it means. Battles in POE do not last that long. 15 seconds a long time to have over 100 deflection.

Traps are useful free damage as is and if you want to spam 6 of them (which will completely win 95% of the encounters in game) take mechanics all on your party members. If you want to spam 30 traps then mod. People proposed elegant solution where you can put more traps if Mechanics level is high enough. Also if, god forbid, we would have the freedom to use items we gather as we please there is a simple solution for you to avoid spamming traps to have "zero challenges" skirmishes... Just don't do it Crazy idea, I know xD A solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
  11. ^This. The other part might come later though. In the interview they stated they made it two parts because they wanted people to experience more of the game as soon as possible. That's nice spin for which is basically DLC. Backers better get both parts....
  12. With Secret of Rime, Blast of Cold is criting for over 200. Love that spell and freezing pillar. Only issue with cold based wizard is no lvl 2/3/4 freeze spells which is annoying and the lvl 1 touch spell isn't worth scribing really. Been running a Pale Elf Paladin tank with 36+ freeze DR.

I went to check myself and it wasnt there. but you can buy there: Tall Grass St Rumbalt Grudge Keeper Ritezzi's Thorn Mosquito Raerdic gives you Justice if you kill Kolsc. Alternatively, I think he drops it if you kill him. He does drop it if you kill him. Where are the named guns? I am only in Act 2 but I don't want to miss them. I have found Disappointer and Forgiveness (pistols) and Leadspitter (Blunderbuss). Thanks yeah but in the OP it states you can buy Justice at the shop, however you cant perhaps they removed it in patch? You could buy it in the backer beta.

  15. One Stand Alone is definitely 100% not working as intended which is why it's a bad argument in balance discussions. I don't use it outside of gimmick lulz. Barbs are still top tier without the brokeness. Glass cannon Barbs in particular explode most things in seconds on POTD anyway.

  17. That's a slippery slope. Rather they focus their resources on new content and more niche style cRPGS. Hopefully something turnbased/sci-fi.

  19. I think it activates you when you get hit by a crit. Goes off like crazy when I throw them on a Barb.

  21. I sincerely doubt this. At least the majority of them isn't. Furthermore, the traps that trigger on the player are devastating. My own traps don't have nearly such an impact. These are clearly not the same traps. You're doing it wrong If you think freezing pillar/sunlance/petrify/noxious/chain lighting etc aren't powerful I don't what to tell you. Maybe pay more attention to what DR the enemies have when placing certain trap types. Another fun thing, Fighter's Into the Fray ability can pull enemies into traps which is entertaining.
  22. Scroll of Revival has a MASSIVE aoe if you want a failsafe. I was able to beat the Adra first attempt on iron/POTD due to Kana hoarding two of them through most of the game. My Wizard went down before he could cast a single spell, then went down two more times and Durance was 10% health away from perma death so it was a nail biter.
