Which weapon cancels the int affliction and what does taking the sword to its original owner do compared to manually maxing the soulbond? The sword told me where to go, but I was planning on doing that last... Well, I'll answer my own question. Modwyr grants the immunity to Intellect afflictions once you complete her soulbond. She also seems like an excellent, endgame-worthy sword. Legendary (for 30k gold), lash, stacking attack speed buff, immunity to intellect afflictions and gives a stunning per-encounter attack. Do you know if the int affliction immunity is regardless of class? I know when you soulbind Modwyr you have to choose which class to bind her as if multiclassed. Modwyr

Haven't consoled anything but 1h swords seem to be abundant, at least early. You get one right at the digsite and then two amazing 1h swords quite easily once you hit Neketaka (1500gp to repair Whisper) and the talking sword, which can immediately be fully upgraded (which btw cancels Int afflictions for you Berserkers) if you know where to find her original owner

multiclasses feel underwhelming now

Never said it wasn't appealing, just not an interesting trade off compared to what multi gives you if you're letting them have access two sets of top tier abilities -

Single class would not be happy with that a. A slightly upgraded Heart of Fury would not be stronger than the multiclass benefits a barb would receive from pretty much any combination. I’d say it depends on how they design the upgrades, some of the upgrade abilities are very good, for example the fighters discipline strike that grant u tier 3 perception inspiration. The original one is only tier 1. That isn't really interesting though and you could probably get that inspiration from somewhere else + getting an entire class worth of abilities to pick from. So that's not going to work unless you make super absurd versions of top tier abilities, which would probably a nightmare to code. Better off making new abilities exclusive to Single Class. Multiclass needs to be an actual choice with consequence -

People are struggling because their normal routine of actions didn't work. Claiming something is 'bull****' is subjective and I would counter that it's actually the most interesting encounter as it forces you out of your comfort zone. Fact is the encounter is very beatable on POTD and not in any way 'impossible'. We have been here before. People cried about their party members being knocked out by Beetles. Now you can basically attack move through the Dyrford ruins in POTD. Tune the game around Veteran, whatever. Path of Damned needs to actually live up to it's name otherwise another difficulty needs to be added for people that enjoy what you call 'bull****'.

POTD should be masochistically HARD. Just because you struggled against the Titan with a under-geared beta party shouldn't automatically mean the difficulty should be nerfed when in fact I and plenty of other people were able to beat this iteration of the Titan. It's sad because the OP's title is acting like the fight is impossible when it's not if you actually approached it strategically. And now looks like a Obsidian employee believed that hyperbole.

PoE had 6 because nostalgia and IE purists. Devs say encounters would be more tactical and combat of better pace this time around, hence the 5 party members. Unless we see actual gameplay we can't say much more I suppose. Nah, that's the just excuse they are using for a flat out lazy design decision.

How much PoE1 in the sequel?
PIP-Clownboy replied to evilcat's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Disagree with the level 1 being fun. You have 1-2 abilities/spells, positioning isn't a factor. It's boring to me... there is a reason Dungeon-Be-Gone is so popular. Also disagree with that particular fight being series. Once you know what you're doing it's a cake walk even on POTD. You should only really have trouble if you're new to game and it's systems. For the sequel, I want it handled just as it was with SOA BG2 where I can jump right into the meat of my character build. Especially for me, I hated taking Wizards before level 9 and Barbs (my favorite class) get all their cool **** like HoF and Leap later on. -
Hey Obsidian, how about a sequel to Arcanum?

Your opinion is objectively bad. -
Survey for the future

The next page button stopped working for me at the 'level of epicness' question. edit: twice now. guess I can't complete it Really want a true Darklands successor and Arcanum-ish 2, ideally both with TOEE combats (hi josh/tim/leo) -
Would not back if they used fig, so hopefully not. I know Pdox didn't have a traditional publisher role on POE, but they seem much closer to Obsidian at this point and time. Was never expecting a 100 man dev team for poe2, but certainly a much larger one than POE. Don't see why they wouldn't want to capitalize on the initial success of a new IP and expand on that. Fans are going to want a game on the scale of BG2 and not a low effort cash grab like Blackguards 2.

Please don't. Yes Lost Ark is aRPG. I meant the environment, skills and particle system. Gameplay is fast but Pillars system uses animation speed modifiers so it can be tweaked per character. Several parameters are controlling speed modifiers. For every repeatable animation in aRPG you can lower the speed and set up the delay of the animation and get cRPG which has delay rules for the attack This isn't neogaf, kiddo
