I think people are confusing nation building with warfare. Im willing to go out on a limb and say, currently, there isnt a nation on earth that could defeat the US in 1-1 warfare of regular forces. Hell, I dont think NATO could defeat the US but those Germans are a capable bunch.

Were already going to be playing rock/paper/scissors with our weapon sets to get around the crushing/slicing/piercing so Im sure you could do the same with arrows. Just put one quiver of each kind into a weapon set.

Hmm, I dont care for the idea that it should soulbound to one person and cant be sold or passed to another party member. What about legendary / named weapons? That would basically reduce their utility to whoever you handed it to first. What if that NPC gets chunked or you switch them out for a different one? Then the weapon is worthless? Whatever properties you selected for it while it leveled up should be permanent but anyone should be able to use it. Its not really an issue anyway because everyones weapon would be levelling up also. Imo, such a system should award xp on each hit, not each kill.

Ironically, a levelling weapon would have to earn kill XP.

I see where you are coming from. By endgame, I prefer high magic and powerful weapons. Im all for atmosphere, cool lore, or being able to enchant or quest for it, or making it by assembling pieces.

It would be cool to have weapons that earned experience and thus leveled up the more you used them. But using the same Mundane Barrel Sword the whole game? No thanks.

Ah, I thought he meant weapon type, not a singular specific weapon. In that case, it sounds like a terrible system for me. I imagine, until close to endgame, I will be constantly upgrading my weapons to whatever I find that is better and I would want to "start over" every time I do so.

Isnt this the same thing as weapon proficiencies? Every few levels you get to add another pip to a certain weapon style.

Source? The dungeon picture shows us a fighter, mage, monk, cleric and archer which is five NPC. Then we know there is still an unrevealed "godtouched" NPC which gets us to six. Which are the two more confirmed NPC's?

What's wrong with 2? They're both good games. I'm going to go donate now. Thats a good question that I dont have an answer I can pinpoint. I played the wheels off DK1 but for whatever reason couold never get into DK2. I remember quitting when I had to possess a skeleton to be able to walk through some lava or something like that. I think DS2 also made it that when you pick up a handfull of minions to drop them onto an invading force that they would be stunned for a few seconds. These little mechanical changes probably turned me away.

And then to the left of that there is a box with keyword response buttons that apply to that specific character/conversation like "Killer tomatoes" and to the right there is a box for more general keyword options like "Rangers" and "Raiders" which you can ask a lot of people.Thank you.

I didnt watch the whole W2 video so could someone bring me up to speed on what "ketword dialog" actually means. So youre talking to some NPC and when its your turn to reply you have to type in some correct response, you dont choose a response from ~3-4 choices?
