  1. So its very rare? (I never play a diplomat)
  2. I know you usually dont get anything from sneaking but arent successful diplomatic / intelligence / speech checks usually rewarded with experience?
  3. ...they're for family protection, hunting dangerous and delicious animals, and keeping the king of England out your face. /Simpsons Why are they legal? I dont know, Ive never looked into it.
  4. Fully automatic weapons are not legal for general ownership in the US. Semi-automatic, yes.
  5. Were they not allowed a penknife because they were minors or are adults also banned? I had no idea things were that strict there. EDIT: Nevermind, I see you said even adults would be in trouble. Whats "trouble"? A ticket? Jail?
  6. Couple of excellent posts above. TBH, I think the gun genie is too far out of the bottle to ever be able to have any realistic gun control. Too many out there. They would literally have to go door to door to make sure all guns were gone.
  7. Pay attention simpleton. Kill experience is not a DnD mechanic. Anyone can use it. I see, you have some axe to grind with Obama. Hilarios, and sad. Of course nobody said "exact same mechanics". None of the mechaincs Im talking about are exclusive to DnD. Anyone can use resting, experience points, saving, healing, etc... It is inferred by invoking the IE name that PE would be similar, which daily is being proven to not be the case. Honestly, youve never played an IE game have you?
  8. Um, right here, two posts up: Are you even paying attention to your own posts? If youre just trollin the day away, thats fine, just dont waste my time. Also, whats "dont get Obama" mean? Every rpg offers a "hero", "companions" and "exploration". By invoking the IE name they new exactly how that would be taken by the consumers. Throwing every single mechanic those games offered out the window all in the name of saving the player from "degenerately" playing their single player game is the true bull****.
  9. Wait a minute, are you implying that gaining experience for kills is owned by Hasbro? People should pay attention when trying to be smarty pantses. This game was sold as being the spiritual successor to the IE series. As far as I can tell that was complete marketspeak as the only thing that seems to have carried over is the isometric perspective.
  10. Thats just straight up creepy. Reminds me of those "fans" you read about in the news that show up a celebrities houses claiming to be their boyfriends / girlfriends.
  11. C'mon, were just people chatting, you dont have to get your Sawyer Defence Mode all riled up. We can simply use common sense to determine that EVERY class isnt going to have an ability to sneak. Remake as in completely and utterly the exact opposite of every IE game ever made. You know, the inspiration to PE.
  12. ^But why is that even an issue? Unless youre soloing the game or playing an entire party of rogues, you wont be able to sneak the whole party through a room anyway. So you sneak your rogue through and then what? The unsneaky party members will have to kill their way through. Am I missing something here? Is this entire mechanic to prevent the player from sneaking one guy throught the room and getting experience for that but when the rest of the group kills their way through they dont want you to "double dip" on experience? Realistically, how often does that happen that you have ro remake an entire mechanic?
  13. Havent they stated in yet another mechanical revision (to prevent people from farming experience ) that gaining experience from killing mooks is out? With that in mind it seems you will always have to complete before gaining experience.
  14. Pfft, the professor would have been able to make that with coconuts and a stationary bike made out of bamboo.
  15. Heh, cool video but what I meant by my post was I would like my character to be approximately as powerful as you were at the end of Baldurs Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal. I cant remember exactly but I think that was around level 20-22 under DnD 2.5E rules.
  16. Does anyone know how the F2P would work on a returning but at one time subscribing player? Could I just log back in (I would obviously need to pick a new server)? Would I be subject to the F2P rules or the paid membership rules? Also, is my toon deleted?
  17. I enjoyed the game well enough during my lone toons run up to 50 (Sith Inquisitor). I played right at release and what killed it for me was the lack of end game content and being unable to muster up / join groups on my server Corellian Run (did that server go away?). I wasnt in a guild and after hitting 50 my gameplay devoled into visiting 2-3 planets that I still had Heroic 4's on and spamming chat LFG. Failing that I would go to the main space station or whatever it was called, spam there for a little while trying to get into flashpoints then giving up and logging off. Not being into PvP, I literally had nothing I could do.
  18. I don't understand where people get the notion that having a character that isn't super powerful or even god like is equal to him being weak or average. Its right there in the poll choice you selected:
  19. 40% want to be normal or weak? Let those who desire to be Joe Average find something else to play--perhaps some sort of Sims game where being mundane is par for the course. I'm hoping Obsidian makes P.E. a far more entertaing game.
  20. I want to be able to lay waste to continents and slay gods, but Im willing to wait for the expansion to get there.
  21. Thanks for the heads up.
