Close to my house is a KFC and A&W combined into one restaurant. Didn't fried food start tasting different when they strong armed everyone into not using trans fat oils or something like that?

What does the sheep wallpaper have to do with anything? Was a sheep a predominant character in the previous Divinity games?

Downloaded and played a few hours of PoE. Eh, Im kinda on the fence. It does a lot good and a few things bad. I very much like the skill tree (even if it is a bit bloated imo) and the leveling gems are very cool. On the other hand, whoever designed the "map" should be pistol whipped as its almost worthless and having to hold down the "Alt" button to see the loot almost breaks the game for me. Im playing a Witch that is focusing on undead minions and reached level six before calling it a night.

That's good to know. Went and created an account so I will download it when I get home. Any classes you recommend? The "classes" page doesn't describe anything about the classes, just what their primary attributes are which strikes me as strange. I prefer ranged DPS but the "Shadow" class has me intrigued just by its name.

Theres a DLC for XCOM? I must investigate this when I get home. I assume I should play out regular vanilla first? I had to start a new game. I somehow got myself in an untenable situation where a terror mission happened but I didn't have enough unwounded soldiers to even field a five man party. Trying to buy new soldiers or let my wounded soldiers heal caused Japan to say sayonara so after that I just quit and started new. I very much like the reactivity of the game. This time I built my base a little more efficiently and built a satellite room before a laboratory and I can feel a tangible difference in how fast I research stuff. Also, the missions play out different and you recover different items from game to game.

The Falklands Referendum
According to Wiki the US supported Britian in the Faulklands war. Is that not correct? (see "Position of third party countries")

Wizards with swords: Should wizards have melee capability?
I don't recall one directly linked to attacking, but as your character will be hit regularly the constant thumping or dodging to avoid a blow will likely drain your stamina to a degree. It also stands to reason that wielding a heavy weapon (heavy for your character, anyway) or a flail that must constantly be in motion might drain a bit of your stamina, but you'll need to ask an Obsidian employee about specifics. Ah, you guys are discussing what-ifs. I thought I might have missed something official.

Those giant bumble bees are freaky. We have these plants in our back yard that bees love (like there can be over two dozen bees on each small bush) and every once in a while one of those big ones will be there searching for nectar. I also saw, for the first time in my life, a hummingbird feeding on the flowers of that same bush. You really cant appreciate how small they are until you have one hovering right in front of you. Its beautiful.

Ive seen a lot of posts referring to Stamina being "used up" while attacking. Can someone direct me to a developer post that states that?

Got my ass handed to me while trying to do a "very difficult" mission in India. Back-to-back crits took out a Lt and corporal, which prompted a reload. I was doing so well up until that round, amazing how fast the whole assault can go south on you. I think I either need to buy that sixth party slot or maybe bite the bullet and spend some alloys on carapace armor.

Steam Sux! andor Rox!
Dial up? *shudder* I have Comcast both at home and at work with 32Mbps and 52Mbps respectively. No limits as far as I know, or at least Ive never hit one and been charged extra. Speaking of which, I always assumed that MMO's would really suck up the bandwidth but two of my games that I play a lot are online (WoW, D3). Either they dont use much bandwidth or I have virtually unlimited capacity. Does anyone know generally how online games operate?

More XCOM goodness. I, and some corporal, learned an important lesson last night. That being, do not continue to use a burning vehicle as cover! *BOOM* Im really loving the layers this game presents and the decisions that you have to make. I understand its probably an illusion and that by end game Ill have everything but currently I like having to choose what to prioritize in research and what I should build first wrt my resources. Just to make sure Im not doing it wrong, what do you do between missions? For example, I get back from a mission and promote everyone and check the progress of various projects but is the only way to advance the game to go to that room that shows the Earth and continuously hit "scan for activity" until something happens? Also, Japan, Australia and India are about to crap themselves with panic, is there some way I can directly go to those areas and complete missions or do I just have to wait until the "scan for activity" gives me a mission there?
