^ But at that point you’d be deliberately going out of your way to execute a cheesy tactic. More power to you if that’s how you enjoy the game. It’s not the developer’s place to dictate the one and only way in which the game should be played; once stuff is balanced in the sense that you can’t inadvertently trivialize your game by picking a single ability that destroys everything, the rest is up to you IMO.

SAVED GAME: Link This one's a little hard to repro so bear with me (the difficulty in reproducing it makes it a minor issue, but I think it's pretty annoying if you're playing a melee Wizard.) REPRO STEPS: 1. Load the attached saved game. 2. Spawn a dummy to enter combat. 3. Select the second character named Wizard and cast the following spells: Arcane Veil, Cloak of Death. 4. Use Seraphen to attack the dummy. One attack should suffice to provide enough Focus to cast Ancestor's Memory. 5. Make Seraphen cast Ancestor's Memory on Wizard. 6. Make Wizard cast Citzal's Enchanted Armory with the first PL9 spell regained from Ancestor's Memory; Xoti can cast Salvation of Time twice in the meanwhile to ensure all buffs outlast the combat state. 7. Kill the dummy. 8. When combat ends, observe that all VFX clear except Cloak of Death's; Wizard remains black.

As mentioned, I never take Boring Death’s Door. It’s extremely easy to avoid this combo in general, as it’s got high requirements. You could have kept Xoti and simply not used this particular combination of abilities. After patch 1.1, I was unsure whether I’d play through the game again. Then I found this and figured I would. If it’s prevented or nerfed, I’ll be back to where I was—obviously my preference is not to.

All with double specialization? In what way are they superior than regular crew members?

v3.0.0 is now available on the Beta Branch
AndreaColombo replied to Cdiaz's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Just checked and you're right: It's already possible to play the challenges without Expert mode. I'd love to be able to use mods and Berath's Blessings with them (happy to give up on whatever in-game achievement would be attached to challenges at any point in the future, if any.)
