  1. Hope Brilliant can be modded back to 1 spell of each level or I’ll be confined to only ever casting Salvation of Time from my Priest. Does anybody have a backup of pre-4.0 files? If not, I’ll roll back when I’m home from my holiday.
  2. Random rank spell? Guess that says something about my spell-slinging habits! I must’ve been using the same 2-3 spells over and over every combat, which would explain my reliably getting them back every tick :D EDIT: are you 100% on the Wound for Monks? I thought it was just Mortification but I’m AFK ATM and cannot test it.
  3. IMO the best solution would be for the scaling that gives the higher bonus to apply at any given time. Depending on your character level and PL, it could be one or the other any time you summon the spiritual weapon. Appreciate this may be more coding than the team deem worthwhile.
  4. They talk to you like you’re not of their ranks. If you choose to interrupt them as a Steel Garrote or Priest of Woedica, should they try to kill you without a second thought? Are they that quick to dismiss a member of their own? Without even acknowledging the fact to boot.
  5. I’d take reactivity with no additional voice acting, if need be.
  6. It restores 1 Wiz/Druid/Priest spell for each level. Not sure how it interacts with Focus or Phrases. Monks do indeed regenerate Mortification and not Wounds.
  7. Best solution would be to make the code pick the most advantageous scaling at any given level/PL combination—which obviously is not going to happen.
  8. Agreed. Happy I can finally play with Blessings and Challenges together!
  9. Agree with Saito. Arcane Archer is a cool concept but currently it isn’t very enticing from a mechanical perspective. Lower health may not be that big of a problem on a ranged character, but the penalty on non-elemental damage weapons is too restrictive. It’s a class that relies on hitting or critting, so you want to avoid the Accuracy penalty at all times—which leaves you with very few options: - Frostseeker: suboptimal because imbue makes it fire only one projectile - Essence Interrupter: not everybody’s cup of tea owing to the quirky summon perk - Minor Blights: must multi with a Wizard - Rot Skulls: must multi with a Druid - Fury’s Spiritshift: must multi with a Fury Druid So you must go out of your way to avoid a very restrictive penalty (and fall way behind a Sharpshooter in terms of single-target DPS) in exchange for the ability to add a spell to a single attack for a non-trivial Bond cost, which won’t even generate focus with the extra damage if you multi with Cipher. The extra Accuracy is 0.5 per Arcana, so you need 20 Arcana for a non-game-changing bonus of +5 that only applies to the imbued spell. Pretty hefty opportunity cost there. You’re not good at single-target DPS but hey, now you can also trail behind Wizard at AoE. Or, you know, you could play a Sharpshooter/Wizard and be better at both The separate attack roll on Charme/Inspiration on the Debonaire is just /facepalm. How was it possibly unobvious that is was a bad idea? Does the Steel Garrote’s self heal work with other afflictions than that caused by the Garrote ability? If not, it’s a tad underwhelming (though the class still has style in spades.) Priest of Woedica IMHO is great even if the summoned weapon’s cheese with Monks is nerfed. The Writs are pretty good.
  10. That’s most unfortunate, as it makes the Arcane Archer not worth it. A shame; I thought it was one of the most interesting new subclasses.
  11. MaxQuest has a good suggestion in one of his threads for the Blood Mage; I agree its randomness can be annoying.
  12. Good point. It would be nice if those four talents were made to improve Blood Sacrifice in some way for Blood Mages.
  13. I strongly agree with the suggestion to make Blood Sacrifice more reliable, and the suggestion for the passive and modal for Soul Mind. I also agree focus generation for the Psion could use being quicker.
  14. I’d test the Fury’s spiritshift ranged attack myself, but I’m out of town this week and cannot. Since it does Shock damage, it is a prime candidate—alongside, of course, the Wizard’s Minor Blights and Druid’s Rotskulls. If none of those work, I’d call bug. Hopefully a kind soul will check this. Not generating focus or benefiting from Soul Whip are also potentially unintended.
  15. Interesting, but also bad news. AFAIK, Essence Interrupter and Frostseeker are the only ranged weapons that can reliably output a damage type that qualifies for the Arcane Archer’s bonuses. If they are exempt from the class’s perks, the class does bad DPS-wise and is not worth taking over Sharpshooter. It would be a good alternative if you could use a weapon that consistently avoids the penalty and gains the bonuses.
