  1. That’s the opposite extreme. If I only max out when the game’s over, when am I going to enjoy my finished build? If I never get to enjoy it, why did I even spend time building it in the first place? There has to be a good chunk of content to play at max level—appreciate Deadfire has too much of that for many players’ taste (I don’t have a problem with that.) Having close to no content to play when you max out isn’t a good solution.

  5. It would be great if there was a similar way to unlock Berath's Blessings with the challenges, but I can't seem to find it.
  6. By the way, you could forgo the Druid part and use scrolls for Firebrand. Granted, you wouldn't be able to wield it all the time, but you should able to have it when it counts.
  7. Agreed that less XP should be an option rather than the standard. I too like being maxed out for a prolonged amount of time and enjoy my endgame builds.

  10. Thank you, everyone! I found the string in question: I would like to change it to: I would like the 10% figure, however, to be retrieved from the item's stat block like the 30% is. Here's where the 10% is set: Any idea what I should type in the description to make it work?
  11. Used to be 100% of the times; got nerfed to 33%. IMO it could have stayed at 100% since it relies on critting which isn’t going to happen all the time in the first place (and requires investment to make it happen regularly.)
  12. I'm changing The Undying Burden back to what it was before patch 1.1, and the change appears to require a modification of its description string as well. Namely, the belt currently provides up to 10% damage reduction based on the character's health, starting from 0%; before the nerf, it provided a 10% starting damage reduction which scaled up to 30%. I would like to change the description to match what it was before 1.1: My questions are: Can strings be overridden like other game files (i.e. I add a modified string to my mod in the override folder and it gets used instead of the original)? Where can I find the English string to modify?
  13. Faster Deadfire is compatible with the current version of the game. Should any future patches render it obsolete, I’ll update it accordingly. I haven’t looked into Soulbound weapons, tbh. Currently I’m working on a mod that reverts a chunk of the 1.1 nerfs.
  14. Mods don’t break achievements; only using the console does. But you won’t be able to use it if you play the god challenges.

  16. I'm trying to undo some of the nerfs from patch 1.1, but I can't seem to locate the bonus lash damage from the abilities Elemental Bolts and Volcanic Heart in the game files. The lashes are not the only thing these abilities do, but all I can find is, well, everything else. Could anybody point me to the values I need to change?
  17. Agreed -5 is a tad harsh.
  18. “No pen” is not a bug; you just don’t have enough penetration compared to your enemy’s armor rating. “Forced slow mode”, assuming you’re referring to the kill cam, is a feature and it can be disabled from the game’s options.
