[4.0 Beta] Number randomly appearing in dialog box
AndreaColombo posted a question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Pretty sure this has already been reported in 3.1; looks like it's still a thing. The number "1" randomly appears in the dialog box: When I started the game, a few number 1's also appeared in the water as the camera panned over my sloop during the confrontation with Benweth. Likely related. -
SAVED GAME: link STEPS: 1. Load the attached save. 2. Talk to Edér. If I picked the right save, this will be in Vilario's Rest next to the campfire and it'll be the first time initiating a conversation with Edér. 3. Observe that you can ask him three questions besides quitting the conversation; one of them is whether he likes the Deadfire. 4. Ask one of the other questions (not the Deadfire one.) 5. Once you exhaust that line of questioning and get back to the original dialog node, observe the option to inquire about the Deadfire is no longer present. I believe the ability to ask about the Deadfire should not disappear if you pursue a different line of questioning first.

armor bug
AndreaColombo replied to sapientNode's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Not sure what you mean by that. Any damage types that don't show under "Armor Rating" have the same value as your base Armor Rating. In your screenshot, your Corrode AR is 8 (6 from Swift Hunter's Garb, +2 from Rakhan Field Boots); Slash is 7 (6 from Swift Hunter's Garb, +1 from your pendant.) Looks accurate to me. -

So what if they do? More power to them if that’s how they like to play. -

This can be modded. Appreciate it's not the same as having it officially sanctioned, but since it doesn't seem likely to happen at this point... -
The Fighter subclass possibly multis very well with Ranger, in order to gain additional bonuses when attacking the same enemy as the animal companion. The Monk subclass is potentially interesting if built around, and of course Priest of Woedica has the Writ spells which are super good. Steel Garrote regenerates Health with melee attacks? Sign me up! Blood Mage's health regen makes it an ideal candidate for Barbarian multis.

Plenty of good stuff; can't wait for it to hit GoG Two things off the top of my head: New Druid subclass looks a tad underwhelming because it only offers spells that are not unique; as Hoo mentioned, PL doesn't affect summoning spells very much; and Aspect of Galawain remains a very weak summon for its level. Now we need soulbound weapons from the base campaign to be able to upgrade to Legendary. -
I haven’t tried either of those two, so I cannot really speak to them. I like Higher Is Always Harder better in principle, but I haven’t played with it quite enough to provide a fair assessment—I’ve mostly tinkered with it while waiting for The Forgotten Sanctum so I could have my Definitive Playthrough .

I’m using a few. Enhanced User Interface Higher Is Always Harder Faster Deadfire Deadfire Unnerfed Brilliant Mod Close To Board No Damage Smarter Unpause More A.I. Conditions Unity Console the one to fix the cost of the Mythical Discovery blessing, and the one to unlock more color options for characters. I’ll be adding the one for the vindictive faction ships from this forum as well for my final playthrough.
