  1. I think they're both pretty good. Spinning Assault was my favorite, but I believe most people around here prefer Run Through.
  2. Seems to be the case, though I have only really realized it by pure chance with the Crimson Panoply and haven’t tried with anything else tbh.
  3. It’s in the Forgotten Sanctum dungeon but not sure exactly where. I used the console to check it out on my high-level character but it’ll be a while before I reach it with my newly started playthrough.
  4. By the way, the action speed bonus from Frenzy triggered while wearing the Crimson Panoply appears to be considered a passive and therefore stacks with other action speed bonuses. Makes sense as, in this case, players have no control over the ability’s activation; it is effectively a passive ability from the armor. Cool beans.
  5. Agreed it would be a very cool feature. Unity Console can do something similar but it has its limitations.
  6. Guess QA picked up on it but there was no time to fix it.
  7. This journal entry only makes sense if Aloth became the leader of the Leaden Key in the first game. In my current playthrough, however—which is whence the screenshot is—he set out to destroy the Leaden Key instead. This was correctly picked up by his dialog, as well as by the fact that he was given the Key Breaker scepter. His journal entry, however, appears to be incorrect. This was with a custom-created backstory, rather than with an imported save (in case that made a difference.)
  8. It is worth noting that this bug likely existed before patch 4.0; I've merely run into it just now. Queen's Berth; conversation with Nera Bardatto: There's absolutely nothing "pro-eothasian" about this sentence, so I'm not sure why Edér got all giddy.
  9. Already reported in the beta patch section, which doesn't seem to be monitored anymore so I figured I'd report this here too. Going into the Engwithan Digsite near Port Maje on PotD difficulty, the drake's wings make a very loud noise across the whole map. I assume it should only be heard in the drake's proximity, and certainly not as loud as it currently is.
  10. Portraits and models actually take a lot of art time to make, so they end up being very expensive. I too would like to have more variety there—can never have too much unique art in a game—but Deadfire is a mid-low budget game; I understand why they couldn’t spare the time for more of it.
  11. Do Coral Snuff, Captain’s Banquet, and potions stack? I think they all count as active. Mohora Wraps would work as they reduce recovery instead of increasing action speed, but coral + potion I think don’t work together.
  12. So here's a theorycrafting piece I'll be checking out on a henchmen late into my current playthrough. Steel Garrote/Berserker Leaving aside the Garrote ability, which is nice but has a hefty cost, what I'm most interested in (beyond the cool factor of the class, which is off the charts) is the 15% damage done as healing. It triggers when attacking afflicted targets, and Spirit Frenzy makes it so your hits Stagger enemies—voilà, your every attack afflicts your target and gets you healing. Unless, of course, your enemies were resistant or immune to Might Afflictions. Enter two handy items: Will Breaker and the flesh ring from The Forgotten Sanctum. The first one has a chance to Shaken (and a passive Action Speed bonus to go with the one from Frenzy); the second, a 10% chance to apply a random affliction. This way you have an affliction-generating melee machine that regenerates health attacking its targets. Wear blackened plate for bonus style points along with Will Breaker. Violet Redemption too if you're really stepping up your fashion game, since Will Breaker is black and purple (but you get the cloak when it no longer matters unless you export a character that has it and hire it in a new game to get the item.)
  13. Kate Dollarhyde mentioned on reddit that Ydwin's new lines weren't voiced due to scheduling issues, but they'll be voiced in an upcoming patch. Given that it's the same actress, the scheduling problems likely applied to narration as well; I wouldn't be surprised if the patch rectified that too.
