  1. Playing at 2560x1440 I confirm having a sharp font in most cases. There are a few spots on the UI where the font is still blurry and I'm not sure why. Also the font on loading-screen tool tip starts out as blurry and switches to sharp after some time. Character models are definitely be upscaled at character creation and level up
  2. Messier-31, are you wearing any other item that grants a bonus to Resolve? In that case, the two effects wouldn't stack.
  3. You call it OP; I call it pretty good. The Monk talent doesn't really have many applications for other classes besides this one, so let it shine
  4. Hey. I believe level scaling only applies to new content, but Josh said on Tumblr that Sun In Shadow would also get the option to scale if you're high level. Some of the new content (two bounties, a dragon fight, a dungeon) are specifically meant for high-level characters. Plus A.I. has seemingly been improved upon.
  5. Springwight - just a head's up that QA said there's a patch coming next week for The White March. Might want to wait until then to update the mod to avoid doing double work within such a short span.
  6. Not to mention that the expansion does have stuff geared specifically toward high-level characters (new bounties, a dragon fight, and a whole new dungeon.)
  7. Aarik, I have a character build lined up for my first expansion play through that depends on those talents. Please whip your programmers on the back vigorously and relentlessly to get this fixed as soon as possible. We can discuss your monetary compensation for this service in private
  8. Quick update: Ability choice for level 13 is Sundering Blow. Talent choice for level 14 is Apprentice's Sneak Attack. Sneak Attack works on Prone targets, so you're going to exploit it in combo with Knock Down. In light of this, Bonus Knock Down becomes the best talent choice for replacing Quick Switch in the pure-melee build. Tidefall has been changed and no longer has the ability to drain life from targets. It does however have the ability to shorten the duration of beneficial effects on them and steal 10% from their attack speed (basically it speeds you up while slowing them down); if at all possible, it is even more powerful. As far as soulbound weapons go, St Ydwen Redeemer will likely be a good substitute for Tidefall for this build (even though the change to Tidefall makes it very competitive); its ability to proc Pillar of Faith is awesome as that spell can inflict the Prone status, which works in combo with your Apprentice's Sneak Attack talent. There's a fairly beastly soulbound Estoc too, whose name defies me, that is briefly shown in the trailer for the expansion. It is my understanding that it can be bound to any class but cannot be unequipped afterward. That makes it a perfect choice for the pure-melee build. It can inflict Paralyzed to the target, which would be insane in and of itself, but in this build it also works in combo with Apprentice's Sneak Attack. I was/am very keen on the main build, but this Estoc actually makes me want to try to pure-melee variant as well so looks like I have two play throughs to look forward to I will review other equipment after going through the expansion (I'm going to start a brand new game so it's going to take a while.) Note that there appears to be a bug whereby Weapon Mastery doesn't stack with Weapon Specialization. This effectively hinders this build a lot, so hopefully it will be fixed very soon.
  9. The game automatically makes a save for you right before you enter Sun in Shadows. You can use that save to access the White March locations if you've already beaten the game.

  11. I remember reading 7 A.M. PST for Steam on Twitter, but I wouldn't stake my life on it.
  12. Yeah, but for a tank that means, like, 10 points of Deflection lost? Can still easily get north of 120 unbuffed and north of 160 buffed. I don't think you really need more if you have good CON and DR. I've personally never used a pure tank but would likely have one in a fully custom party. If nothing else, they could keep enemies busy while I buff the other guys in the back
  13. Edér, Aloth, Hiravias. If I had to choose one, probably Aloth because it seems easier than Edér to justify and Hiravias is my third choice. But I would be fine with a cast of all-new characters too. Or with other returning characters.
  14. I believe soulbound weapons will not be part of the random loot table and will be found in the new areas (mostly Durgan Battery, I suppose.) There will be new spells, new abilities, and new talents though it is not known whether more were added for lower levels (I deem it unlikely.) A few have been shown in videos or described but it's much quicker to see them tomorrow in the expansion than to dig them up on my smartphone
  15. Guess yes, but I also guess the patch will release tomorrow with the expansion so basically you'd have but a few hours of beta play.
  16. The expansion is meant for level 6-7 characters and can be started shortly after acquiring Caed Nua and reaching Defiance Bay. However, it includes some optional content meant for high-level characters. It also has an option to scale everything up if you elect to go at a much higher level than 6-7.
  17. It is my understanding that you won't be allowed to rearrange companions' attributes in 2.0. However, you could use the IE Mod (once it has been made compatible with the patch) to assign them whatever attributes you see fit.
  18. Did you check whether you had any other similar effect active on your character? It might suppress the one from the amulet. If not, could you attach a saved game exhibiting the issue and your output log file?
  19. Except a car dealer would never charge the full price of the car for a rental...
  20. That they could get such a huge market share with such asinine, uselessly restrictive policies is truly a credit to modern men's careless attitude toward everything. I would never pay any price for a game I would still not own. It's like throwing money away for nothing but the illusion of having something.
