  1. Looks like Tidefall won't be my only option after all: https://twitter.com/AristotlOmissis/status/634809559819898880 Yay
  2. Don't think he mentioned that, but we'll find out in four days anyway
  3. You can even use Vulnerable Attack with an Estoc for a whopping 10 DR bypass.
  4. +1. You are doing a very good job (both QA and programmers). The game is fantastic and update 2.0 will make it even more so
  5. Aarik, any insight on whether it is flagged as high priority / set to be fixed for 2.0? It is a fairly serious issue (plus my character concept for my first expansion play through relies on Tidefall so it would rather suck to have to wait till 2.1 to play )
  6. I rememer Josh's saying in a recent interview that you cannot equip armor on her because her body is armor; however, you can upgrade her body.
  7. That's not true. You do not own copies you bought on STEAM. Read the rules. That's precisely what I was criticizing Steam for; hence my preference for GOG.
  8. They said on Twitter there will be no pre-purchase for the expansion. It will just be up for sale on 25th August.
  9. You can use the IE mod to use the console without disabling achievements, then respec your character. But as Doppelschwert said, you'll be able to respec for a fee after 2.0 comes out so perhaps you could just wait (though I'd still suggest installing the IE Mod because it's so awesome.)
  10. Fair enough. I didn't mean to say I own the IP; I own a copy of the game. In the digital world, a license. But said copy belongs to me and I should have unrestricted access to it at all times. I think that's always been the argument against Steam; it's just a matter of wording.
  11. Personally I dislike Steam's DRM. If I fork out cash for something, it is mine. I did not borrow a game; I did not lease a game; I did not rent a game. I bought it and I own it. GOG is DRM free, so they'll always have my preference (I'd rather not play than to suck up DRM.)
  12. Ah, unfortunately none of those apply to me
  13. Springwight, do you think it would be possible for a non-programmer to learn how to update the mod to a new version of the game? Appreciate it takes coding, but if it is always the same process, I guess I could write up a few notes and learn some code by heart so I could be a back-up updater of sorts Again, words can't express my gratitude for your taking the mod up. I would likely drop the game if the mod became unavailable after a patch.
  14. I use the IE Mod's random loot shuffler, so that random loot is reshuffled every time the game is reloaded. I usually reload a bunch of times to get what I want. If I can't get it in a reasonable time and I get tired of reloading, I bring up the console, cheat in what I wanted, and keep playing.
  15. Personally, I find random loot very annoying. Ultimately, I do want the ability to build my character around certain pieces of equipment for maximum combat efficiency. That's how I like to play. The fact that, for example, the Gauntlets of Accuracy can only be had through random loot is frustrating for me. If my build makes use of them, I'd rather cheat than to play without them. There's nothing wrong with building around a concept but, likewise, there is also nothing wrong with building around equipment.
  16. Got a source? Was it on the Codex? Can't find it on SA. Pretty cool beans, anyway. Though I hope the Great Sword can also be enchanted to Superb on top of gaining those powers, otherwise I'll likely stick to Tidefall.. EDIT: Just found an older post from Josh that says soulbound weapons cannot be enchanted. Looks like I'll stick to Tidefall; no way I'm giving up on a Superb blade with draining for a Fine one, regardless of how many powers the latter has. My hype was just turned a notch down.
  17. Hope this is fixed before 2.0 is officially shipped! Quite a big issue, imo.
  18. Springwight, any chance you could have a look at this bug while you're at it?
  19. My DPS Fighter build: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/80748-buildpreview-lady-of-pain/ It's my favorite character to play (but relies on the presence of a support priest for maximum efficacy.)
  20. @Adragan - IE Mod can do that for you (but it is not compatible with the beta patch so if you're using it, you'll have to wait until the official release and subsequent mod update.) I've had QA confirm that monster buffs applying to party members have been fixed.
