  1. Amen, brother. Though playing without through the IE Mod actually made combat interesting for me. Are you going to give it another try now that we've got better A.I.? Really, PoE is a good game man After all the time and effort you put into the beta, it would be a shame to just let go of it.
  2. I'm sure our good friends at Obs will have a way to get it to us I honestly didn't expect another expansion after TWM pt. II, but I sure look forward to PoE 2 (and if it ends up being crowdfunded, I'll have a good $250 ready for the guys.)
  3. Of course. I mean, it was like that in the base game already and the expansion won't change that.
  4. For St Ydwen's redeemer, you can use meta-knowledge to save the Lighthouse quest in Ondra's Gift (deal damage to Spirits) and either Heritage Hill or levels 6 and 8 of Od Nua (kill Vessels.) The other requirement is fairly easy to "cheat" I do not know how the staff is when fully unlocked, but in general soulbound weapons appear to be well done: They are powerful, but not necessarily a no-brainer. For example, even after fixing the "steal attack speed" mod bug, Tidefall with white-forge refinement is probably going to be a lot better than St Ydwen's Redeemer for DPS unless you're attacking Vessels.
  5. Could you attach a saved game and output log file? QA are gonna ask for these
  6. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Move forward in Magran's Fork; soon you'll be attacked by wolves on your left. As you enter combat, use the protagonist (aumaua dudette) to keep the wolves busy. Select one of the druids and cast Nature's Bounty. Have one of the druids drink a Nature's Bounty potion. Go to the druid's character sheet and click his Might score. Observe that it is 15 (10 base, +5 Nature's Bounty.) All good so far. Have the same druid drink another Nature's Bounty potion. Go to his character sheet and click his Might score. Observe that it is 25 (10 base, +5 Nature's Bounty.) Something's wrong. Repeat as many times as you like; the third time gets you 45 (10 base, +5 Nature's Bounty.) Kill off the wolves and wait for combat status to end. Go to the druid's character sheet and observe that the bonus to his Might and Perception score has not gone away.
  7. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Observe that there are two Druids in the party who share the same level, the same attributes, the same Spiritshift form. Further observe that both share the same talent selection except for the talent Novice's Suffering, which is only possessed by DruidWithTalent. Move forward in Magran's Fork; you'll be attacked pretty soon by a wolf on your left. Have the protagonist (aumaua dudette) engage the wolf so you have time to observe the Druids. Make both Druids Spiritshift. Observe that both have exactly the same damage output and accuracy. Because a Druid Spiritshift's claws count as unarmed attacks for all intents and purposes (they are affected by Weapon Focus: Paesant), Novice's Suffering should apply to them as well.
  8. It doesn't have a class requirement that I know of.
  9. Do those cost enchantment "slots"? If so, how many?
  10. Just tested this. Novice Suffering does not apply to the Druid's Spiritshift. The +16 Accuracy you get is from the ability scaling with your level. A Druid without the Novice Suffering talent will still get it. I will get a saved game up with detailed repro steps later.
  11. So it is protagonist-only? Or can you have anyone in the party pick it up to begin with?
  12. What enhancements do they bring to equipment?
  13. I was referring to this post, which in turn links to this article. My German's pretty rusty so I didn't try to read the article myself, but Josh said on SA (usual link in one of my posts in the previous page of this thread) that they've just started on part II. Guess it is fair to expect it to take about 6 more months.
  14. St Ydwen's Redeemer not counting destroyed Vessels against its 50-kill target has been confirmed by QA as a bug and is being looked at by the dev team. As for killing Druids, that's a pretty steep requirement but in Act III there's a quest that requires you to kill more than that. I'm sure there are more druids scattered around the game world but the quest in Act III is the only "safe bet" I know.
  15. Hi narkhen, what you describe has been confirmed by QA as being a bug and it will likely be fixed in next week's patch. Basically these weapons are supposed to only steal 10% attack speed from the target but are set to steal a much higher amount. Nevertheless, the stealing ability is still pretty good. Hope you're enjoying the build
  16. Honestly, I think the guys at Obsidian fix bugs at an uncanny speed. A game with an underlying system as complex as PoE is prone to having many bugs, because there are so many things going on at once under the hood. It's just the name of the game (pun unintended.) They've been doing an outstanding job rolling out patches so far, considering they're a pretty small team and they've delivered an expansion 6 months after the game released. Sure, there are still bugs across the board but there's also a patch coming next week (which is pretty fast; one week after the expansion released.) All in all, I am pleased with their work and confident that outstanding bugs will get fixed.
  17. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Observe that the elf wizard is wielding Greenstone Staff. Advance until combat starts. As soon as your characters assume their combat stance, pause the game and zoom on the elf wizard. Observe that his left hand is not holding the staff, but rather floating above it.
  18. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Observe that the protagonist (aumaua dudette in Sanguine Plate) is wielding Tidefall, whose description says it steals 10% attack speed on hit. Select the protagonist and have her attack the rogue (orlan that dual-wields sabres) next to her. Observe that the amount of extra speed the protagonist gets after landing a hit is much more than 10%. If you want to be particularly precise: Set the game to maximum 30 FPS. Record a video locked to 30 FPS of you doing the above. Do a frame by frame analysis (i.e. count the number of frames it takes to the protagonist to recover after attacking) to determine the exact amount of speed stolen. If you need a reference, just equip the protagonist with a regular Great Sword (I think she has one in her quick weapon slots) and record a video attacking with that; it'll be your benchmark.
  19. "Honey, I'm hoooome!" :D SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Observe the protagonist is wielding St Ydwen's Redeemer and the objective to unlock its next level is to kill 50 Vessels; further observe that 0 Vessels have been killed toward that end yet. Send the protagonist on alone, so that every kill in the ensuing fight can only be hers. [It's a POTD game so I suggest sending in the priestess as well to buff the protagonist.] During the fight, observe that every enemy on screen is, in fact, a Vessel. At the end of the fight, open St Ydwen's Redeemer's description and observe the progress made toward the goal. When I follow the steps above, I generally end up with 11-12 kills. Should be more like 25+. EDIT: I had attached the wrong save.
  20. IIRC, celliot said this bug is marked as "high priority" in their internal tracker, so I expect it to be fixed rather soon (though not necessarily in next week's patch.)
  21. I'm experiencing this as well but I'm AFK and can't upload any files. Do you have a saved game + output log to attach? Possibly a save right before facing many vessels so QA can repro. The problem seems to be that when a vessel is destroyed through the weapon's "destroy vessel" ability, it does not count toward the total for the upgrade.
  22. Thanks, Roby! 2560x1440 is probably the most common resolution that fits the subset.
  23. Could someone post a screenshot of The Grey Sleeper's description once fully unlocked?
  24. Josh has been active on SA (link). Here are some copy-pasted quotes: Personally, I think a 7th or 8th level party is a good fit for TWM's crit path, but the side content is meant for characters that are 11+. We didn't design new stronghold content for Part I, but it's been a focus for me for Part II. For the next patch, I've lowered some of the more eye-watering requirements [to unlock soulbound weapons' powers, n.d.a.] and BMac has made a code fix that allows a fall-through for class or race-specific damage/kill requirements at 5x the base value. E.g. if you've massacred every wizard in the game and have a weapon that requires 5 wizard kills, you can fulfill the requirement by killing 25 of anything with the weapon. We'd like to keep making games in the PoE world. I don't know what metrics the owners would require for us to move forward with that, though. A lot of us have talked about ideas for PoE2 but we haven't done any work beyond that. Most of the feedback I saw on Defender was negative, but I saw one or two people in favor of the changes. Granted, the pool of people commenting wasn't large, maybe 6-8. I'd like to see more feedback on it in play. Fighters with >10 Con have more Endurance now and Constant Recovery scales (though it starts with a lower base value). Between the changes to Defender and Wary Defender, it's a loss of 20 points of Deflection -- a lot, but D/WD shield-based fighters were incredibly far ahead of other characters in the late game. The alternative I proposed was reducing Accuracy, but for a character who's just attempting to hold a line, that may not be a meaningful drawback for the modal. I probably won't be tuning these [multi-class talents, n.d.a.] for the upcoming patch, but I will for the next one. Spiritshift armor and weapons now get more powerful every three levels. A lot of the base class abilities (e.g. Constant Recovery, Arcane Assault) scale now.
