If mirror image is replaced by arcane veil I wouldn’t complain, veil is way more powerful:)

Your Tiers List [Base Classes, Subclasses]
dunehunter replied to theBalthazar's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
If you refresh the shield every 3 sec, it is like you absorb 30 damage per 3 sec right? Stack or not doesn't matter. Also I didn't quite get your point that healing means 120 vs 30 not 40 vs 30. If your character received more than 30 damage in 3 sec, the shield worth 30 hp, if your character get less than 30 damage in 3 sec, it prevent any damage and refresh after 3 sec. For healing, in 1st case you can heal 40 damage if the incoming damage is >40, and heal <40 damage if incoming damage is lower. So I don't get your points here. Unless you mean when all of your character are get wounded when u heal them, than yeah that's the problem of shield because it cannot heal. But it still blocks damage so I don't know why it's 120 vs 30. -
Well the Mirrored Image itself doesn't take any cast time and has 0 recovery time, so I wonder if it matters if the Reflective Mirror is instantaneous or not. So basically u get 1 free lvl 2 spell at the cost of losing two school But yeah all equally bad.

Your Tiers List [Base Classes, Subclasses]
dunehunter replied to theBalthazar's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
I am talking about the duration. 30 Int is double duration. So if the shields are sequentially stacking thats 60 effective health every 3 seconds in a AoE (correct me if I have the mechanics wrong). Every six seconds, I think, right? You'd only get it every three seconds if you were a troubadour using Brisk Recitation. Also, I'm not sure if the shields stack. That would require some testing. The good thing about using Brisk Recitation is that it just renews the 30 damage shield every three seconds, no concerns about whether they stack or not. Yep you are correct, as a troubadour it's 30 damage shield per 3 sec. The only class that can complete a troubadour is a lifegiver. Spiritualshift + moonlight can heal u around 40 hp per 3 sec. But with much smaller radius, and a limited duration. So this chanter phrase is a bit OP now imo. -
Automatically being free to dex affliction is meh too, basically u just need to select wood elf and pick fleet feet, u already immune to dec afflictions now because all Paralyze is downgraded to immobilized, which can be canceled by fleet feet.

Sharpshooter/Helwalker is still my topest ranged build. Marked Prey + Stalkers Link + Marksman + Death Dance gives u 10+10+5+12=37 accuracy. Driving Flight + Swift Flurry is still very strong because once you triggered an extra hit, it's actually two because of driving flight, and doubled the chance to proc extra hit. It works even better with a rod because your aoe hits can trigger extra shoots. -
Blinded prevents recovery instead of doubling recovery time
dunehunter replied to Wizard Styles's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Interruption will add some recovery time to you, which is doubled by Blinded. This might be the reason. Multiple Blind stacks so your recovery time gonna be really long after a few blinded affliction that you will think it prevent recovery time from recovery. -
[bug] Blinded canceled by Rogue Persistent Distraction
dunehunter posted a question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
If your enemy has Blinded, and you have Persistent Distration, any movement will cancel the Blinded. -
Btw I just did a pure Trickster and it is pretty powerful. Dual wielding battle axe, picking Arterial Strike + Gouging Strike + Ring the bell + Deep wounds, you can stack 5 different type of DoT to an enemy. Sneak attack damage doesn't matter that much since you mostly rely on DoT, and trickster can make u more tanky.
-
Yeah exactly what i said, without upgrade i think Gilded Enmity is strictly worse than White Flames. But with Sworn Rival it's OK. Would be good if DoT doesn't eat all of layers. Back to OP's question, if you wanna make your paladin a main tank, go goldpact, if you want to be more leader/healer, go kind wayfarer, if you wanna be a striker, go bleakwalker. The rest is ...meh
-
It depends on how you define powerful. You'd rather spend pool on defending, while some might prefer to throw a few fireballs with pool. Actually I don't get your point for using all resource on defending, you will already be pretty tanky with one cast of iron skin, and can spend the rest to kill enemies, why u over-buff yourself?
-
The gain of Gilded Enemy is hard to calculated. But let’s assume it gives u -50% income damage for 7 hits. And every hit does 20 damage in origin. So with one zealot point u get -70 damage and Sworn enemy. With a normal Kw u can heal like 40 hp with FoD to whole team. It also cost 1 zealot point. This is a very rough estimate, but it gives u a general idea about two abilities. Imo FoD > Sworn enemy. Team heal > self damage reduction. Also DoT can consume Gilded enemy. But Sworn rival makes it great because it refunds you zealot point.

1.Josh said hardtack is very common in the game. 2. In beta you can just use hardtack on injuried teammate and use NOTHING on non-injuried one, I dunno if this is intended but this means u can rest whenever u want without waste food on healthy teammates. This results in you can spam resting a lot in the game.

Mirrorred Image doesn't pose in combat stance
dunehunter posted a question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
As topic, the illusion you summoned will do attack/move animations that's fine, however, they will just stand still while you are in combat stance which is a bit weird. -
Melee/Gun dual wielding bug
dunehunter replied to thekdawg21's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
I agree with OP, even if this is intended behavior, it’s really stupid to be forced reloading in melee range. -
In the newest beta Gilded Enemy lasts 7 hits. So it’s kinda of a weaker version of stone skin. Also u will need to spend two abilities into Sworn enemy and Sworn rival to make it worth. I’d not waste two ability point on these unless I’m a goldpact. 2 point for an active ability which only gives u 20% damage bonus to single enemy is meh..
-
This is really impossible to answer since it depends on what you personally want to do. well im more asking about what beta players felt more useful...maybe the wayfarer heal is so low or the range so short its not practical or the armor bonus from gold pact so little that its not worth it.... Wayfarer's heal is not low if you know how to build it, with level 9 naturegodlike Wayfarer/Helwalker max might, I'm able to heal 26 x 2 hp with FoD thanks to high might and well of spring. If you console him Practiced Healer, he can heal 30 x 2 = 60 hp with single use of FoD. That is not low at all.

Yep you are right, or you can use Thunderous Blows to clear your wounds so you will always cause a few rooting pain when u hit.
