If your rogue inflicts target with DoT, for example deep wounds, and the rogue then uses smoke veil, the DoT will break his invisibility.-

I feel high level of stealth skill doesn't help much, 5,6 point into it is usually enough. It'd be good if more point of stealth can increase your movement speed when stealth.

Yeah I play Darcozzi not because of that minor flame shield, but because of Inspiring Liberation, too bad it's gone.' It used to be a very good passive because it totally changes the function of one ability, you can use it to clear debuff, now you can use it for self-buffing or buffing allies. Too bad they choose not to include it.

I also don't think rogues are too bad specially multiclass ones. They just need some fix to be perfect: backstab favors big sword, rogue active abilities favors two weapon style, so u will need to switch between if u want optimized performance some rogue abilities has unreasonable cost, like wither strike. Or very useless, like strike the bell. too many active abilities, too few passive, specially compare to monks Otherwise I think rogues are good. -

To have high DPS you need: High accuracy High basic damage High attack speed Lash/Wounding Be able to hit multiple target at once So for single ranger you have high accuracy from Marksman, Marked the Prey, Flanking from Pets, Stalker's Link, wounding lash from wounding shots and ability to hit multiple targets by driving flight and later twin shots. So you need to increase your basic damage, raise your attack speed and get some lash somewhere. Monk, Paladin, Rogue and Ciphers are all good choice imo. Not sure if multiclass ranger can get twin shots or not, it seems in beta4 logs it is moved to PL8 so it is not accessible to multiclass... -

Well talking about ability cost problem, there are a lot more cases, wither strike of rogue cost 3 guile and do u think it is better than barbaric blow or FoD ? -

Hilarious! Does that mean you are choking the guy you're healing? Can't test myself, writing from my phone. Remind me of blackguard in DnD 3.5 where LoH will harm enemies instead of heal allies. -

Since SA damage is boosted by PL, don’t think melee passive should affect it tho. But agree about adding descriptions to make it more clear. -

Soul Annihilation is your alpha strike, as Boeroer said you don’t need to use SA at full focus, and every combat u start with half of max focus. -
So I did two quick solo run to Titan and 1, 2 level of Engwithan Dungeon. 1. PoTD run with human Bleakwalker/Devoted dual hatchet max STR, RES. Feels like I'm butchering everything easily, Titan fight need some cheesy to lure titan out of sand blights, other combat is not very impressive as I just killing everything fast with FoD + cleave. 2. Veteran run with pale elf Soulblade/Devoted dual sabre, max STR, Per. Cannot do PoTD run with this set because cannot tank without high level Fighter ability like Unbending. One interesting thing is every kill grants me +10 max focus so after one combat I usually have like 200 max focus, and next combat will start with half of your max focus which should be 90 / 2 = 45, but because of the temporary max focus increase, I got like 90 focus every next combat depends on how many enemies I killed. Also just SA + cleave everybody to death. Feels like I'm playing Dynasty Warriors :D

Combusting wounds doesn't feel nearly as worthwhile as it did in the previous game -- the duration is very, very short compared to other spells. Do you mean the actual spell duration of Combusting Wounds or the DoT it applies on each hit? Good catch, I think I was reading the listed duration for the dot as the duration of the spell. What *is* the duration of the spell itself then? Combusting wounds is very good atm, dunno what you mention about.

Psyblade(Devoted/Soulblade) seems to be a better choice for me. Although Carnage doesn't generate focus, fighter is the best melee aoe dealer now, so you just use Charge or Clear out as a starter to generate focus and then repeat between SA and cleave. Charge -> Full focus -> Soul Annihilation -> Cleave -> Full focus -> Soul Annihilation -> .... Also killing multiple enemies will give Soulblade very high focus maximum, which results in super high damage SA. Conquerer stance + Discipline Strike helps SA to land. Conquerer stance + Borrowed Instinct = +30 acc when > 50% hp, +30 deflection < 50%hp. Lower their Guard + Devoted + Hammering Thoughts = mega penetration bonus. Unbending, unbreakable helps soulblade to stand in melee fights. -

I thought the Finishing blow is a little buggy, only get bonus damage when enemy is off 50% hp, anyway not very impressived with it. -
Btw anyone soloed the beta4 in PoTD without stealth?

Not much synergy, maybe FoD + Soul whip, or later Borrowed Instinct + Paladin high defenses. -
Yeah I guess I’m not right with the statement of Might. I checked the leaked ability list and didn’t see any rogue abilities with poison keywords tho.

Now there are this ‘xxx% of your weapon damage’ for many abilities, which doesn’t include damage bonus and lashes. Wounding shot and deep wound is also of this category now. -

Transmuter is trash tier to me because the ogre form is not cool to me, and it's really underpowered. Also you lose access to fireballs!
