Yeah I wonder that too, I think I tested it in beta 1, it’s 2+1 not 2*2 unfortunately.

Your Tiers List [Base Classes, Subclasses]
dunehunter replied to theBalthazar's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
You sure about this? When i tested it, only duration is prelonged. But I think i didn't see enemy get multiple DoT, maybe I'm wrong. -
So currently this trait seldom works, or only works with special combo. My suggestion to make it a buff that works like PoE 1 fighting spirit, which will be triggered when the character is at 'Near Death' status, and has a duration(for example 10 second). This change can make it more useful because 1) this trait is not very powerful anyway as +3 PL is OK but not OP. 2) it's too risky to keep my character at Near Death, I'd rather retreat or get him healed up if this happens, which makes this trait quite pointless me(and I guess anyone who don't abuse Barring Death's Door).

It depends on how good is your build. I rolled a lvl 8 Devoted/Bleakwalker, with fine plate armor + dw fine hatchets. I slaughterred every mobs in the beta, and I'm on PoTD difficulty. I'd say if you use some unopitmized build, it might be even hard on veteran. Anyway some abilities are not very balanced right now so i think it is pretty pointless to talk about how hard the game is right now.

Beta IV - General Feedback [The Good // The Bad]
dunehunter replied to DexGames's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
While everyone here is mocking the post, I think it is true that Might is a more balanced stats in PoE 1, it's a good dps stats for those without damage bonus, and can be left 10 for classes like rogues. However, Might is too important in DF so if you are a min-maxer, it's a bad design because noone would not max it. I like PoE1 type better, it also nerf those one-shot build like assassin/bleakwalker if might is an additive. -
Driving Flight has a -50% bounce penalty so I'm also fine with it bouncing to original target. Btw Fury form attack doesn't have the bounce penalty, so if the dev rebalance its basic damage the form can be pretty powerful.

The question of if you can tank with 2h weapon can be divided into two sub-question: 1. is your character tanky enough to not be killed by multiple enemy. 2. will enemy stick to him instead of disengage and seek his teammate. For question 1. Greatsword might not be an ideal weapon because it doesn't gives u more deflection. Staff might be a better choice, currently staff modal gives +20 deflection which is equally powerful to sword/shield style. For question 2. I'm not too sure about how enemy AI is designed. But I think if you play an Unbroken, enemy will stick to your character forever because the stronger disengagement attack. So it means your damage affect how well you can prevent enemy from disengagement, which means 2h weapon > 1h weapon on this aspect.

Your Tiers List [Base Classes, Subclasses]

Yeah I tested it too, Spell disruption doesn't work on Carnage, I also checked Spirit Frenzy on different abilities, it works on spells, DoTs, melee attacks, almost everything so carnage is nothing special here. Might not be intended. -
Serafen's Cipher subclass is Wild Mind. Findgamedata iirc reveals a Wild_Mind attack but not an addable wild mind ability. Maybe it has some sort of synergy with dual wielding guns?... The name remind me of bg2 wild mage. So if let me guess, wild attack might be a spell with random result. You can use it to mimic a cipher spell in your list, and the result is from a random sheet and dice result.

Your Tiers List [Base Classes, Subclasses]

With 30 INT your lingering time can be around 10 sec. So I'd say it might be possible to stack 3 different phrase at once(since during my test, same phrase doesn't stack itself, like Dragon Thrashed) -

So Carnage is not as bad I thought, it does trigger some of the prot on hit effect, for example if you pick Spirit Frenzy, your carnage will staggering enemies, which is pretty good imo. Haven't tested mage slayer yet, but they might change the spell disruption to be able to triggered by carnage. -
Deadfire: Would you like to know more?
dunehunter replied to Tattyblue's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Right. You can also reuse the "non-exploded" corpses over and over again in PoE with White Worms. Don't know if that's also the case with Flesh Communion or White Worms in Deadfire. I turn off gib anyways because I think it's silly that enemies explode from weapons attacks... You can turn gib off in Deadfire, too. I didn't test if Flesh Communion works on exploded bodies... will do... wait a sec... Edit: So I can confirm that you can't eat exploded (death on crit) enemies. Once you turn off gib it works fine and you can have your meal. And yes: you can eat the same enemy multiple times with Flesh Communion. You can also eat yourself, heal up and then die... nice bug! Lol what do u mean eat yourself. -
Very short recovery after attacking from stealth
dunehunter replied to guizzmoloul's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Why players get free recovery bonus when attack from stealth? It doesn’t make sense to me, or the -% is decided by your stealth skill ? -
That's because Lash is calculated separately from the basic damage. In Beta 1~3 Wounding Shot have similar damage to FoD, or even higher because Wounding lash is calculated separately from basic damage AND lash! But they nerfed it in Beta 4 so now wounding doesn't count a lot stuff and the damage is much lower. I wonder wether Lash will be tuned into an additive damage bonus like Wounding or not.

Ah so I ignore the fact that Dragon Thrashed can stack itself even with one chanter. That is pretty strong because one chant provides 10+10 = 20 DoT, so two would make it 40 DoT. Also this doesn't check hit/miss make it good at any high level mobs. How many layer of Dragon Thrashed u can stack with Brisk Recitation on btw? Also the damage is nerfed to 4+4 in Deadfire if I remember the number correctly. Does it stack itself in DF?

Your Tiers List [Base Classes, Subclasses]

I don't remember corpse eating has 1/encounter limit in earlier beta. You mean in Beta 4 it is limited to once per encounter? Also all summons are not eatable because they not die, they disappear after being killed or duration expired. Also your pet is not eatable :D Anyway I agree KDubya that currently it is not very economically wise to use that ability because the animation and recovery time is too long. If they can remove the recovery time it might be better. Imagining a corpse-earter use Heart of Fury and killed one or two enemy then use corpse-eating and then Heart of Fury again and again. Just checked with a hired adventurer, Flesh Communion (corpse eating) is 2 / encounter currently. Ah thanks for verifying, it's interesting nerf because I don't see there are a lot players in beta playing corpse-eater so what's the point of nerfing -
I recommend it in this way: All classes except monk don't get Unarmed Proficiency at lvl 1 but can select it later. Monk automatically gain Unarmed Proficiency at level 1. Devoted must select the devoted weapon in the same UI after he picked weapon proficiencies. (which feels redundant for a non-monk devoted, maybe the system can detect how many proficiency devoted has and automatically select for him if he only has one proficiency).
