You're lucky
Even though they're quite different they're both RPGs. And if the casual buyer can make a selection between several (new) games of the same genre both lose out, just the one with the lower marketing budget more then the other. EDIT: So,... new hope for a March release? Eh?

Engagement Mechanics- Problems and Solutions
Let's hope they delay this game again if needed. I'm not sure they got enough time to polish this in time for early 2015 release. Don't see that happening. v364 is already in a playable state, though still rough arround the edges. With likely 4 more patches to go, if the pace remains about the same, I really can't see why you'd even call for another delay.

On class exp tables
Really? You like that? Doing "thing" and all party members except one get a big chunk of XP, eternally damning him to trail behind. That'd make my OCD flare up hard. Reload. Redo.

[364] Can't pick up *Pilgrims Crown* in Dyrford
My Party is unable to pick up one of the white Pilgrims Crown flowers in Dyrford. 1) Go to southern edge of Dyrford, near the treeline. 2) Try to pick up Pilgrims Crown. 3) Observe the character trying to pick up the ingredient walk past it into the trees. 4) Watch as he starts to stutter as he tries to walk off the map 5) Flower does not get picked up. [Expected behaviour] Character stops near the flower, it gets picked up and added to the stash. Picture attached to make the location more clear. Additionally, the same type flower a bit to the west has a minor problem too. It can be picked up, but like before the character walks up to the trees edge before collecting it.

First Impressions (v364)
Oh lord, this thread... For me v364 is the first time where I can actually play the game for a prolonged time without crashing or some bug hamming everything up. So earlier I explored the Skaen Temple and Lle a Rhemen for the first time in earnest. Coming from that and reading up on the latest posts in this thread and the WYSIWYG one is a goddamn riot. Even though everything from loot, XP, combat to skills and inventory is supposedly in dire need of a complete overhaul I somehow did it wrong and still had fun. Reading some of the opinions on this forum would have any outsider think the game was in complete shambles. But in my opinion what Shevek said is mostly true, the game has many flaws still but they are all fixable with changes and improvements to the existing system. The changes many here are getting all toxic over are a *maybe* not a *must*.

[364]Ghostly boar appears at Dyrford Crossing
Found a weird little bug. In my latest playthrough there is now a boar standing next to the fireplace in the ruins at Dyrford Crossing. The wolves ignore it and on closer inspetion it is not targetable and you can also walk right through it. The boar persists even if I leave the map and return later.

Missing String - Master List
Some that I noticed: Lle a Rhemen: 1.) After you go through the spider tunnel you emerge at an opening in the ground, directly behind it lies an inspectable tipped over lantern(?). It only displays *missing string*. 2.) After you drop down the broken stairs, in the central room is a inspectable pile of urns/pots. Same thing. Dyrford: After you kill the ogre and return his head to the pig farmer he seemingly is supposed to make a comment if your backgrond is mercenary. Instead, only [Mercenary] *missing string* pops up.

Update on the Update
19:00 in the UK think we might get it today? Depends on when you go to bed . QA should be finished with everything in the next few hours. After that it only takes me 20 or 30 minutes to upload the build of distribution. Can't you just fire those "QA" people? They just seem to cause delays and find faults with the game.

What You See Is What You Get Loot System
But there is no such limit, thats why I'm pointing it out. As long as everything automaticly goes to the stash, even with the limited trader cash, it still stands that hoarders can just go through all traders in town and come out with thousands of coppers and "free" rare items on top.

What You See Is What You Get Loot System
Normally I'd support WYSIWYG, but at this point and with how PoE handles loot, I don't know. The economy would have to be heavily overhauled, killing any group of humanoids would always guarantee loads of cash in form of items. This in turn seems to favour hoarders since with the stash feature "loot all" is the only logical option. You can't be encumbered and leaving stuff on the ground equals throwing away free money. This might also require new loot placement when - for example - a group of bandits suddenly is actually worth more then what the chest they were guarding contains. Lastly it might also affect encounters. The devs might have to reconsider if they really want the evil champion to be decked out in magical plate armor when, after the fight, it now will go right into the possession of your parties fighter. That might be a big power leap, so instead of facing you alone wearing plate he'd now have to wear leather and be accompanied by a couple monsters. If PoE had been designed with WYSIWYG from the start most of this might not be much of a problem, I just fear that this change would be a lot of work so close to release.

Saving the Wizard Class
I strongly second this. Uniform casting times for all spells? I just assumed casting times hadn't been adjusted for the beta so far. That would make reacting to a powerful spell being cast rather tricky, no?

Update on the Update
Eh, but they already got an entire week extra. The original plan was to release a patch last week which got postponed. It's better to postpone something three times than to release a buggy version. I know, it's a beta, it's expected to be buggy, but after 3 months it would be nice to get to testing a build without gamebreaking bugs. Just like the first post, this line of thought already assumes that a) this Patch has such bugs and b) that these would be easily preventable with a couple days extra. Not to mention that if it's always okay to take some more time, then where does it stop? And which bugs are the unacceptable ones that shouldn't reach the public? As long as PoE hasn't reached the release candidate stage there will always be some optimisation to be done, some bug to be squashed or a new feature to be implemented just some mere days away.

Trees and grass
Are you actually serious? Do you mean to tell me that animated vegetation is some huge sales factor? Yes, because out of all the animations this has been most asked about feature. Okay but that still only makes it somewhat popular eyecandy. Considering the target audience for PoE, who goes "Wow, I love party based, isometric RtwP RPGs! What? No animated trees and grass? NO sale!" Missing background animations won't stop anyone who really considered buying PoE from doing so. Bugs, bad combat mechanics, a boring story, etc ... might.
