  1. 2. Secret button on the wall facing the door, if I remember correctly. 3. You need the knowledge that you gain in chapter 2 from the main quest.
  2. The stairs you are looking for:
  3. I'm playing at 1280x1024 and that is not the case with my monitor. I only have a minor issue with the panels, for half a second they are in the wrong position before they settle in the middle of the screen. But the size is right, and I can see them almost entirely. Maybe relevant, but your screenshot is 1152x864. That is a 4:3 resolution, while 1280x1024 is 5:4.
  4. Talking to "the man who waits" gives you 4800xp. You don't need to speak to the Warden. That chest is part of a different quest:
  5. Send me back 15 years to met Waidwen and Edér's brother.
  6. Was this question answered? Read the whole thread and I did not see a response. I'm running an iMac from 2012, latest OS, using Steam. Load times were severely impacted by internet bandwidth - turned off IP masking and things improved. Would still like to delete old saves. From the "how to report an issue" thread: Savegames Windows Location: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity\Saves Mac Location: Library/Application Support/Pillars of Eternity/Saved Games Linux Location: $Home/.local/share/PillarsOfEternity/SavedGames
  7. My game is fine, no saves issues. Your data structure is different from mine: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\CurrentGame %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\TempSaveData There is no TempSaveData under CurrentGame. Any fan fix that could mess with that?
  8. As a backer when you start a new game you should have 4 items in your inventory: Kickstarter bonus: cloak + wurm Pre-order bonus: gaun's pledge (ring) + blue pig Is the ring missing too?
  9. How many camping supplies are you carrying around? "The amount of Camping Supplies you can carry is dependent on the difficulty setting of the game. Higher levels of difficulty will have more restrictions on supplies." hard = 2 max normal = 4 max
  10. Deleting the content of Steam "downloading" folder sometimes help. Check the antivirus quarantine too.
  11. Here's to the laughable wings... taking us nowhere...

  12. The cup is empty, shall be filled no more. And all the thirsty can now approach

  13. Have you tried a force-attack? To perform a force-attack click the sword icon near the "formations" button, then click a peaceful target.
  14. Check the Stronghold treasury chest?
  15. Before playing Dragon Age 2 watch "The Usual Suspects". Unfortunately is a very flawed game. The critics regarding certain combat mechanics and dungeons reuse are valid.
  16. I'm sure you did. It's the entrance of Clîaban Rilag, the ruins north of Dyrford.
  17. Not trusting The Dozen, I accepted the quest in order to secure the weapons and avoid a potential bloodbath. Instead I found myself stuck with the faction I was trying to sabotage. Up to that point I was given the option to betray the quest giver whenever it was logic to do so. And quest givers are not omniscient, or so many more would still be alive. Well, there is a certain brilliance in being casually outwitted by Wenan sending the Knights in my direction, but that point in the game is somewhat messy: Why I'm unable to warn the Knights about the plan to recover the weapons? To fail the quest, I killed the quest giver and lowered my reputation with The Dozen to "scoundrel". Even so, I still was a "close ally of the dozen" according to the Knights Commander. Why I can even take that quest without questions, when I openly murdered few groups from The Dozen? Someone must have seen me leave those buildings, or when I was fighting in the street. And I'm very well known. I'd expect to be told "Sorry, you are good bloke/nice lass, but I can't trust you with this delicate matter because you keep butchering my men". Compare it to : this one being so linear is a bit of an anomaly.
  18. I tried your savegame with the beta. People on both the first and the second floor are hostile, and the statue only dismisses you, but you can move on to the next quest by talking to Lady Webb.
  19. I have the same reputation problem as Met. Stepping into the Throne Room/Kitchen floor triggers the "Lost Reputation with Gilded Vale (Major)" bug. In the zip: -Autosave & output log that should show the bug. -A save just after the fight on the roof, in case you need a point antecedent the bug. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3hmrz3mfwhj8j84/Raed_act3_rep.zip?dl=0
  20. If you don't know dropbox already, you can use https://www.sendspace.com, easy to use, doesn't need an account. Open the folder where the saves are (see instructions here, or just search *.savegame on your PC) Find the most recent save and drag it over sendspace. Click upload Copy the link and post it.
  21. This is going to sound odd, but I can't help but wonder if you have an antivirus program active. I'm wondering because it is the .exe that you are having issues with. If you don't, I'm out of suggestions. This is a tough one. Anti virus turned off... There is a small chance that could be not enough. Check if the antivirus is keeping in quarantine some of the games files. Something quite similar happened to another player: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/68957-steam-disk-read-error/?p=1531103
  22. And indeed the game is great. Thank you.
  23. Yes. The icons are shortcuts to those floors connected to the main staircase.
