  1. Before playing Dragon Age 2 watch "The Usual Suspects". Unfortunately is a very flawed game. The critics regarding certain combat mechanics and dungeons reuse are valid.
  2. I'm sure you did. It's the entrance of Clîaban Rilag, the ruins north of Dyrford.
  3. Not trusting The Dozen, I accepted the quest in order to secure the weapons and avoid a potential bloodbath. Instead I found myself stuck with the faction I was trying to sabotage. Up to that point I was given the option to betray the quest giver whenever it was logic to do so. And quest givers are not omniscient, or so many more would still be alive. Well, there is a certain brilliance in being casually outwitted by Wenan sending the Knights in my direction, but that point in the game is somewhat messy: Why I'm unable to warn the Knights about the plan to recover the weapons? To fail the quest, I killed the quest giver and lowered my reputation with The Dozen to "scoundrel". Even so, I still was a "close ally of the dozen" according to the Knights Commander. Why I can even take that quest without questions, when I openly murdered few groups from The Dozen? Someone must have seen me leave those buildings, or when I was fighting in the street. And I'm very well known. I'd expect to be told "Sorry, you are good bloke/nice lass, but I can't trust you with this delicate matter because you keep butchering my men". Compare it to : this one being so linear is a bit of an anomaly.
  4. I tried your savegame with the beta. People on both the first and the second floor are hostile, and the statue only dismisses you, but you can move on to the next quest by talking to Lady Webb.
  5. I have the same reputation problem as Met. Stepping into the Throne Room/Kitchen floor triggers the "Lost Reputation with Gilded Vale (Major)" bug. In the zip: -Autosave & output log that should show the bug. -A save just after the fight on the roof, in case you need a point antecedent the bug. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3hmrz3mfwhj8j84/Raed_act3_rep.zip?dl=0
  6. If you don't know dropbox already, you can use https://www.sendspace.com, easy to use, doesn't need an account. Open the folder where the saves are (see instructions here, or just search *.savegame on your PC) Find the most recent save and drag it over sendspace. Click upload Copy the link and post it.
  7. This is going to sound odd, but I can't help but wonder if you have an antivirus program active. I'm wondering because it is the .exe that you are having issues with. If you don't, I'm out of suggestions. This is a tough one. Anti virus turned off... There is a small chance that could be not enough. Check if the antivirus is keeping in quarantine some of the games files. Something quite similar happened to another player: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/68957-steam-disk-read-error/?p=1531103
  8. Yes. The icons are shortcuts to those floors connected to the main staircase.
  9. After the fight against the flowers, I could see a second "Animat" label following me around. The label made a come back after an interactive sequence, when I re-equipped my piglet to find both, pig and ghost. save +output https://www.dropbox.com/s/nhyp6kt89mg3ljg/Animat.zip?dl=0
  10. Have you found and clicked the other exits to the surface? That should update the map.
  11. The Light of Dawn "Look to his yes - can they not see?" I think it should be "eyes"? (If this some special English thing, please disregard this message)
  12. Same issue, the log tells me characters are in the fortress, and if I'm there I can see them, but this is not mirrored by the action flag. Right now there is a 4 near the flag, but only 2 visible events, a prisoner and a guest. Hope a siege is not imminent. save+output: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uz7syzi4dpbi7y9/save_and_output.zip?dl=0
  13. I don't remember, sorry. I'm under the impression the mouse, not the party, was frozen in "Stronghold page", non-movement, mode.
  14. Talking to Penhelm only 1 of 3 lines move the conversation forward, so you are forced to agree with him. The dialogue: "He finally went too far. He had the gall to suggest that we had strayed too far from our roots..." 1. I don't see the problem 2. If the knights obsessed over their past, they wouldn't have grown into the fighting force they are today. 3. That history made the knights what they are now. You can't just cast it aside. 1 and 3 loop back to "He finally went to far" A difference: 1 is an infinite loop, 3 eventually leads you out. [click 3 -> Sagani -> back to answers 1,2,3 -> click 3 -> other menu] Screenshot after clicking "3" the first time: However it's not very likely to click again a voice that doesn't seem to work.
  15. I couldn't move around after checking a Stronghold message. Just back to Defiance Bay, Copperlane, I received a Stronghold message. I fumbled clicking the wrong places, opening the Notes by mistake, before clicking the Stronghold. After closing the Stronghold page, I couldn't move (no X pointer). In the upper left corner I could still see the message scroll, almost closed. I was near a map transition, and I could use that, so I moved to First Fire, still no X. Unfortunately no save, just the output_log: https://www.sendspace.com/file/ougjrg
  16. The little kids? yes, several groups. They look normal, they are not stuck in the T position. 4 in the common room of the patients ward, 3 + 3 in the west corridor (if I counted right). I can kill them without issues. Passages: - Upstairs, the Warden gives me permission to visit the patients ward. - Downstairs Azo is pissed off, but still gives me the key. - Chat with the prisoner, constructs attack. - Sneaking back to the entrance (clockwise) I stop by Azo. He asks "What have you DONE". I get only 1 answer "[Leave]I have no time for this". If I talk again to Azo I get the previous conversation "What is it NOW. 1. I heard you were demoted..." - After that, I see in the common room a Wicht. It doesn't matter if I sneak away or if i kill them all. The output is the same. - Going upstairs triggers a conversation with the Warden, asking for an explanation. No one is hostile.
  17. Defiance Bay, Copperlane district, the Goose and the Fox tavern. A table in a corner.
  18. I report to Kaenra using the following dialogue lines: 1 3 or 4 or 5 (dump the ****) [Quest completed] When I speak to her again, I get again the middle of the quest dialogue: "What happened with Purnisc? Did you give him the ring?" 1. There's something strange... 2. Not yet...
  19. Yes, it seems something is off... i5 3,5 GHz, HD4600 Resolution: 1280x1024 Next to the campfire: MSAA enabled 21 fps MSAA 0 29FPS Even if the frame rate is low, my game is generally smooth...
  20. You could look around your keyboard and try to find the [ ` ] (Backquote) key. Or you could head into the options menu and bind it to another key. I tried to bind it to "ò", and got this warning: "BackQuote is already bound to Toggle Console". So, if you are using an Italian keyboard: it should be the key right of the "L".
