It's certainly been my experience that immigrants have been by and large, better and harder working employees than those who were born here. It seems to be the case whether they are legal or undocumented, hi-tech or labor, government or private sector. This also covers across gender and ethnic lines. What they may lack in flawless English, they more than make up in personal drive and lack of sense of entitlement.

That would be the the top voting factor for me, from either side. Issues and beliefs may be secondary to getting someone elected who is willing to work with the opposing party --and whom the other side can actually work with. I actually do want a functioning and productive government. But then again, that's a pipe dream. The days of Reagan and Tip O'Neil are long gone.
