  1. Do we have numbers on Armored Warfare? Are they also getting a share of the revenue with my.com? I would imagine if this is successful, they may not need to go the crowdfunding route with Pillars 2.
  2. Well, to be fair, the original trilogy explicitly stated that he hunted and exterminated all the Jedi. Revenge only implied that he just killed Jedi babies.
  3. Uh huh... Yup.
  4. J.J. Abrams and Disney behind don't rise my hopes very high, as they are both parties that focus more in making films marketable than great. But there are die hard Star Wars fans in the production team, that have spoken promising things about the movie so I do have some hope left in me. I don't get some of this hate on Abrams. He's worked on some really good stuff. The Star Treks were fun. Alias and Lost were cool. MI:3 was good. He's not Ridley Scott but he's no hack either. As you alluded to, he's also got a great crew working behind him...not the least of whom is Lawrence Kasdan. I'm optimistic. Regarding Disney and Star Wars, I'm pretty sure their marketing department is pretty competent -being that they have 29 Scrooge McDuckized Moneybins - which leads me to believe that their marketing machine is telling them to give the people what they want: A nostalgia-laced sequel in the style and spirit of the original trilogy.
  5. We can only hope that Episode 7 is as half good as Fury Road was. That was some kinds of special filmmaking.
  6. Watered down alcohol and liquor is severely underrated. Scotch in particular absolutely needs it.
  7. During the Kickstarter period, either Feargus or a producer stated that preorders account to roughly 10% of initial total sales. Based on the 74,000 backers, they're off by that projection by quite a bit. But still, Obsidian is turning a nice profit from this.
  8. Volo, you do realize that based on the odds, the Cavs are the favorites to win the championship right? Anyways, the smart bet is to put money on the Hawks at +5000(!!!!!) and the Bulls at +1600 and subsidize that with the Warriors and Thunder. 3 to 1 on the Cavs and Spurs are terrible lines.
  9. This is such a bizarre statement to me. It seems like you are looking for political correctness, just so you can point at it and dislike it. Wouldn't you rather just enjoy stuff? There was no blatant political correctness in the trailer, but you've clearly already made up your mind as to what the movie will be. That seems like a shame. Bizarre indeed.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iLKjspPj_k Really nice rendition of my favorite computer game music track.
  11. Very nice! It compares very favorably to Skeleton of a Town from IWDII.
  12. To be precise, one does not swing an estoc; it's meant to be a thrusting weapon.
  13. Gah. This song has been in my head for two days now. And Christie Brinkley was hot.
  14. Okyeahthatlookedprettygoodimstoked.
  15. Funny, I had a funny feeling some *COUGH*nerd*COUGH* body would feel the need to point that out that. Can you even hashtage #Trench Foot? Shouldn't it be #TrenchFoot?
  16. In grade school, I wanted to play Second Base for the San Francisco Giants. But knowing my luck, I figured I was gonna end up with the Milwaukee Brewers. As it turns out, neither scenario played out.
  17. After PoE was funded, somebody associated with Obsidian --maybe it was Feargus, was quoted as stating that the trend was that pre-orders generate about 10% of initial unit sales. In this case, replace Kickstarter backers with pre-orders, which added up to roughly 73,000. I'm sure Obsidian is doing financially well with their current sales numbers, but it has fallen short of desired expectation. Let's not spin this into something that it's not and break out the champagne for 500k Steam units sold.

I was at a Royals game this summer completely decked out in my A's gear. Never once did I get harassed or taunted, which, in hindsight was pretty lame. Still, I got around to having a nice 20 minute chat with an 80 year old usher who was around for the Kansas City A's. Good enough reason for me go for the Royals.
  19. Memphis is essentially a dinosaur in today's NBA, and even Indiana decided to play smaller and faster. But dammit, it's still viable and may St. Naismith bless them with good health. An NBA that has heterogeneous playing styles is just fantastic.

When has Pete Rose not been an embarrassment to himself?
  21. Cool. Though that was actually a pretty disjointed edit to be honest.
  22. According to SteamSpy, Shadowrun sold more units (863,000). Add another 450,000 to Dragonfall, and 93,000 to Hong Kong. These games cost far less to make combined than PoE.
  23. My Power Rankings in descending order from 1 to 30. Next to the team name are Vegas’s (Bovada) odds on winning the championship. For those that aren’t degenerate gamblers, +300 means that a $100 bet will earn you a $300 profit (3 to 1 odds). Not applicable this time, but -300 indicates that a sucker would need to bet $300 to win $100. Power Rankings 1. Warriors +500 2. Thunder +850 3. Clippers +900 4. Spurs +350 5. Cavaliers +275 6. Bulls +1600 7. Hawks +5000 8. Rockets +1600 9. Memphis +3300 10. Pelicans +4000 11. Celtics +10000 12. DC Bullets +5000 13. Heat +3300 14. Raptors +5000 15. Jazz +15000 16. Bucks +5000 17. The +/- is my prediction on whether the team will go over or under that win number. Obviously, top eight in each conference goes to the playoffs. Western Conference 1. Golden State 60.5 + 2. I stand corrected then. I thought you were a Mets fan. Although you play devil's advocate so often sometimes it's hard to tell who the real Volo is! Same here. This is the first I've ever heard of Volo supporting a team from Kaneda.
  25. It's been decent so far and added it to my DVR list. I've been a fan of Cornwell for years.
