Well, despite that assertion being a bit comic, ISIS being contained and all (then again that's a decent weasel word). Not sure that ending torture really hurt the cause, not did limiting surveillance. Price of a free country is being open to this kind of attack and all. No, it's the price of stupidity. And Obola not only ended "torture" (which Bush already stopped for the most part, it was only used initially in a few cases), he stopped virtually all interrogation. On another subject, our borders are porous. If they weren't, deported criminals wouldn't be able to return 5,6,7 times. The reason we hadn't had a cross-border terrorist attack is the drug cartels won't allow it, they don't want the border to be closed. It's very amusing how some here try to deny that radical Islam is responsible for the attacks. No one is denying that radical moslems are responsible. People are just saying that not all of the moslems are radicals. I do not know if your media already mentioned it, but the attacks were executed in places, where many foreign nationalities live alongside French people without having any issues. I would say, this was one of the reasons behind the attack, hoping that the people living there start to hate each other... Accurate.

I can only predict where this topic is gonna go. Anyways, without trying too hard to stir up a hornets nest, looks like MCA lost a power play with Project Eternity whether due to being overruled, sucking at internal politics, or his ideas being plain bad. Adam and Josh were the clear project leads from the onset and Fenstermaker's pitch beat out Avellone's, despite Chris probably being the odds on favorite to take the creative lead position.

Yeah that was Malaysia I think. Indonesia is a little more complicated - while Islamic-motivated persecution of religious minorities definitely exists there, and sometimes even in very severe forms, it is AFAIK much more localized to certain areas of the country, and not backed by national government institutions. Accurate.

*Raises hand* But I'm following because I care about the state of legalized online gambling. How come no one is talking about the issues I care about? We already know Hillary hates gamers.

It's all calculated; the masterminds know what they're doing. They want to make life tougher in the west for mainstream and moderate muslims. Syrian passport? Play on the worst fears towards the refugees by casting doubt and xenophobia towards the refugees. In the east, they want to destabilize secularism in Muslim majority countries like Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lebanon, etc. The propaganda machine is working. Make it a black and white world of Islam versus Crusaders and eliminate all shades of gray. Even better for them that the west casts Sunnis and Shiites together if they can get them to fight their enemies as well. And we're all trending to buy it hook, line, and sinker.

The Pacers ain't bad. I gave them an Over on 42.5 wins in my preseason rankings. The Nuggets though...they ain't gonna do much with what the garbage they're currently wearing. Until they decide to fully commit with going back to their Alex English, Michael Adams, Doug Moe, and early Dikembe Mutombo era uniforms --basketball will continue to only draw 9,000 to a game.

Uh oh. Looks like Cant is subtly lobbying for increased mod powers. Remember, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I dunno GD. 47-41 at the half. Seems to me that Memphis is dictating the pace. It's feeling like a Grindhouse style game.

Meanwhile, in Boogieland...http://thebiglead.com/2015/11/11/demarcus-cousins-cursed-out-george-karl-sacramento-kings/ After Sacramento was hammered at home by San Antonio Monday night, the Kings' star, DeMarcus Cousins, stormed into the locker room and cursed out head coach George Karl with a torrent of obscenities, a person close to the situation told The Big Lead. After Cousins unleashed the F-bombs on Karl, all the head coach - who publicly feuded with the Kings best player last summer - could do was walk away, a source tells The Big Lead. Afterward, Cousins felt some remorse for his actions, asking a couple of teammates if he came down too hard on the coach. They calmly told him, "you can't scream and curse like that at your coach in front of everyone." The day after the San Antonio loss, the players had a well-publicized players-only meeting. What hasn’t been reported is that after the players spoke, Sacramento general manager Vlade Divac and assistant GM Mike Bratz talked to the players and Divac asked the team, “We don’t know what to do with George [Karl], do you think we should fire him?” Their throwbacks are looking pretty fly though.

I've always been of the mind that 8-bit era video games (Mario, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden etc.,) were a training ground for the development of one's masochism. Watching endless streaming of Mario deaths this morning confirmed that. -
Well, they did cut the lead in half by the end of the game and inexplicably prevented Golden State from covering the 17pt spread(!). I mean, that's as good as a win for the Nuggets, right? ... I like Mudiay. He's gonna be good.

Upcoming Games/Books/Movies you are looking forward to

I would agree that the plot lines have stilted but Martin's prose and characterizations are still top notch. Also, more Dunk and Egg. -

I wonder if George Martin will ever finish the next book. Wasn't it supposed to be done by the end of 2015? Now I think it's "maybe 2016", which likely means 2017 or later. Love the series, but absolutely hate how much of a procrastinator he is. The thing is, Martin agonizes over every paragraph. He writes, edits, rewrites and re-edits while checking for consistency and with what has been written before. He's not a hack who'll churn out voluminous garbage. I find that type of meticulous attention to craft refreshing in popular fiction (or game development). And he never gave out a release date for Winds of Winter. -
GSW 119 MEM 69 (Sorry GD!) The Warriors are just good at playing basketball right now, and Wardell Curry II is currently the best player in the world. These are just facts. http://youtu.be/zw3ajCbszns A 70 win season may not be inconceivable.

Hosmer. He would've been out by a mile if Duda's throw was in line.
