  1. I'm also going to add Battletech to the list. And now that ESPN killed off Grantland, I'm looking forward to what Bill Simmons does with his HBO projects. Hopefully, he re-hires some of his ex Grantland employees.
  2. They delivered on PoE and am happy with the result. That counts as an automatic backing for the sequel.
  3. Not the NFL but you can never let an opportunity to rub it in Duke's faces go by.
  4. Forest Lurkers actually have a base 8 Damage Reduction but have 16 Damage Reduction against piercing weapons. They hate fire though (4 Damage Reduction). Burn them. http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Forest_Lurker
  5. This link gives you information about the various weapons and their properties --including damage type. http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Weapon This link does the same, except for armor. http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Armor In the table from that armor link, you'll see that Mail armor has a base Damage Reduction of 9. However, it has a 150% bonus protection against slashing weapons (like axes) but suffer a 50% penalty against crushing weapons (such as maces). Additionally, If you go to your in-game journal screen, you'll see an option that takes you to your bestiary. As you defeat more enemies of a specific type, you'll start to gain information about their strengths and weaknesses. This information also includes what damage type best effects them. You can then match the best weapon of that specific damage type to be more effective in combat.
  6. http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Weapon Weapon are best matched to their corresponding damage types (piercing, slashing, crushing) against the specific strengths and weakness of your opponent armor type. Personally, I like the estoc as it is essentially bypasses armor to a good degree.

Huge reason why I don't agree with Calvinism and am not big on St. Augustine. Predestination in baseball -like strikeouts - is fascist. St. Thomas Aquinas on the other hand leaves it open for baseball players to excercise free will and are responsible for their own action whilst still following God's master plan.
  8. I mean...C'mon. Harrison Ford in a Hot Dog suit talking up Star Wars. How can you not get excited??
  9. Dude drops 53 points on 27 shots and this dime is the best play of the night. Question: Is the reigning MVP ellligible to win the Most Improved Player award?
  10. XCOM 2, Star Wars, and the Winds of Winter.
  11. Sucks to hear about Kevin Saunders. MotB was really good. Pipe dream is for him Avellone and Mitsoda to collaborate on a small scale indie project together. Find a couple artists, programmers, and a sound guy then boom.
  12. Going by on my faulty memory: KoTOR 2: MCA as lead designer NWN2: Ferret B and later J.E.S as lead designer MotB: Tony Evans lead designer Alpha Protocol: Chris Parker as Project Director? Mitsoda then MCA as lead designer DS3: Feargus as Project Director? FO:NV - J.E.S. as Project Director NV XPs: MCA and J.E.S. as Project Directors SP:?? Armored Warfare: Akari as PD PoE: J.E.S. and Adam B. as PD and Exec. Prod
  13. Since we've been spoiled by high camera/isometric view rpg's as of late, I don't know if I can go back to first person or over-the-shoulder camera view games anymore. Hope Paradox (or Obsidian) doesn't buck this trend and decide to go 3D like the old days.
  14. They were very recognizable as old man and old lady Danvers.
  15. There is hope yet: On an unrelated note, I've had conversations with Feargus about doing a small scope turn-based historical low fantasy game and they haven't ended with me being kicked out of his office/the building. -Josh on the Something Awful forums back in August.
  16. It was terrible. But she's hot. Maybe worth another viewing.
  17. I'm getting a bit of a Death by Snu Snu vibe here.
  18. I really like the Stalwart village track But disagree on the IWD 2 comparison, because imo, a good soundtrack should not be compared to IWD 2 Zur's work failed spectacularly, to my ears at least: It annoyed me, or felt random at the best of times, and was mixed very badly: loud and clippy, no comparison to the nuanced work in the original IWD. To each his own. I liked this track specifically.
  19. Holy crud. Flip Saunders, R.I.P. http://www.startribune.com/wolves-coach-flip-saunders-1955-2015/336900871/#1 I was under the impression that he was going to be able to come back this year. I like direction the Timberwolves are going and took the OVER for Minnesota this year as I really think they've got some good talent and a drill sergeant vet in Garnett to show the younger players the ropes. The NBA lost a good guy. Here's KG:
  20. Neat. I'll probably only get it for the manuals and technical references though.
  21. Pretty much in the same boat. I only went through Act 2 and only messed around with WM1. I'll start over from the beginning after WM2 comes out.
  22. It's gotten very mixed reviews here. Anyways, there's already a 29 page thread for this game: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/70467-new-real-time-with-pause-dungeons-dragons-rpg-sword-coast-legends/
