Basically giving Europe, where 16:10 is the norm, the finger? I doubt Obsidian would be that dickish. At least I hope they're not. I dunno, I'm just saying what they've mentioned a few times now. I'm sure it'll probably still work at that ratio, it'll just be a little wonky. Why should we have to put up with 'wonky' FFS? Call me old-fashioned but I'd prefer 'optimal.' A large chunk of the backers for this project hail from outside the USA and would like to see their regional norms catered for when it comes to stuff like this.

^ It's not like these resolutions are particularly exotic or unusual, is it?

Ha ha ha Video killed the radio star... 4E pen and paper copied video games and now a video game copies elements of 4E. As much as I hate 4E I suspect the mechanics inspired by it here (surges especially) might be quite cool in P:E. I'm a bit leery about the mixed damage system, seems a bit paper-scissors-stone (I don't want to have the RPG version of a golf bag of weapons... "Ah, an armoured troll, the Four Iron please"). Like everything else though, and yes, those of us who are part of the 1920 x 1200 Ubermensch need love too. Happy Christmas MC

I don't know if there are still legal issues, but could anyone from Obz give us a clue as to what the gist of BG3 might have been? Please? Like an Xmas present. -

Now we know the truth: Ferg got his nine-year old to fund the KS. The man has no shame. -

I liked the Qunari, actually, they were one of the cooler things about the DA world. -
^ Sophos, you are clearly one of the nicest folks on the forum and no offence to your brand of re-en-LARPING was intended. Apologies are genuine.

I know I'm swimming against the tide but I *like* having a few gimped classes that are traditionally weaker and / or more difficult to play. Classes you have to master. Like my strange half-orc cleric / thief build in BG2 which was lots of fun. A class like the original 1E AD&D Bard would be neat, a sort of Easter Egg bizarro class for hard-core completionists.

You should see the dispute over hummus. The Lebanese and Israelis have claims, has does everyone else in the region. It beats religion and territory hands down. Sabra hummus, from Israel, is my favourite. As for vodka, Zyr is the one and only premium blend although I like the Polish plum vodka I had once. And, lastly, Spasibo, Dmitri.

I never suggested the PC could do anything to save the relationship, or that it would fall apart. Besides, what you do with the characters is up to you; iDon't think P:E would tell you that a decision with them was "wrong" going by what the devs said. But do you just want slabs of meat to cast spells and swing swords? Because I gotta break something to you then. You can find a lot of that elsewhere, probably done with better tech and a higher budget than you will here. If you're not interested in the people, regardless of whether or not you want to be a "relationship counsellor," why exactly do you want to play an Obsidian game-- particularly this Obsidian game? You're not the first person to ask me why I play Obsidian games when I don't like romances. Funny thing is, I've played all of their games and as far as I can figure out none of them really have romances in them. QED.

I'm quite happy to call LARPing for the farcical silliness it is.

So you're basically saying that only people who served know they are famous.....you know you're not making any sense right? That DOES mean they are not famous at all...not one tiny bit....because nobody(except those who served apparently) seems to know much about them. That's like me claiming that only people outside my friends group would claim we're not famous....... Not to mention that military groups are the same everywhere.....lots of overinflated pride and chest pounding and shouting how their platoon/company/battalion/whatever are the best eva and worshiping a few past battles that nobody else knows about and so on....so yeah, they ALL look very famous from the inside, if you actually buy into the silly stuff. Wow, and a new award for humourlessness was forged.

Is Sophos a LARPer or a re-enactor? Two totally separate things.
