If rumors be true, the 3080ti and the 2nd major patch for CP77 (There are two alleged major patches coming for it, one in January and one in February) will release at around the same time so hopefully by the time this all bears fruition it will be playable quite well for high fps gamers, especially on a 3080ti.

So you're conceding that these arguments have merit? Responding with "Lulz" is technically (legally) considered an indication of concession.

More like 2 months old and fresh and ripe. CDPR is a transphobic company. It's time we stop making excuses for them. | ResetEra

Are the forum/game discussions occurring elsewhere?
ComradeYellow replied to Tencatta's topic in Obsidian General
Good question. Cyberpunkass 2077 seems to dominate the active gaming discussions whilst the Outer Worlds once it was released over a year ago got crickets. Lots of contradictions that need to be addressed here. -
A New Life. Target: Vinnie Sinistra. He's in the witness protection program living in a wealthy suburb surrounded by FBI and my client wants him dead. Also, apparently he has evidence tucked away in a microfilm attached to some jewelry and my client wants me to retrieve it. Off we go... The feds will search anyone entering the house and only allow welcome guests so I have to tuck my silenced pistol in a food catering van here and let the driver carry it in. This clown suit is perfect to slip in the house w/o drawing attention, I think I'll sedate him and take his suit. FBI agent searches me upon entering and sees that I'm a simple unarmed clown with an invite for Sinistra's sons birthday. Ok, there's the tray I put my gun in! The caterer delivered it just fine past the FBI agents and they only searched his body not the tray so let me pull out my silenced pistol and tuck it away.. Sinistras wife has a thing for clowns apparently, lucky me! She does have that microfilm I need tucked away in her necklace, as Intel reports. Got it! She didn't suspect a thing and led me to the the back room with no FBI agents present so I had an opportunity to take her out and grab the microfilm. It's Ok, I used a sedative so she'll survive the encounter. No it's time to go after Sinistra, just let me sneak up the stairs here past the FBI agents and into his small study area... After waiting a bit , he comes in alone without FBI bodyguards, I got you in my sights you prick. Headshot! Mission accomplished! I have the kill and the microfilm so I casually head out, put the Suit back on in the back of the clown truck and escape the crime scene.

Lot's of reports of transphobia in Cyberpunk 2077.

The only precaution I have here is it's 82 RT cores. I understand full blown Ray Traced games are a thing of the far future but what if next gen raises the bar significantly? I wouldn't want to just blow money on a card only to have it be outclassed in RT performance in the next lineup. Meh I guess I'll just wait for Nvidia's competitor to the 6900XT and go with that. EDIT: And if rumors be true, that won't arrive until after the Chinese New Year so Year of the Metal Ox February 17+ is when we get the real flagship gaming Gerforce card.

EVGA's NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 KINGPIN hits 2.58 GHz in world-beating 3DMark Port Royal benchmark run - NotebookCheck.net News 2.58Ghz? Holy **** I want one. Even if I can only manage 2.1Ghz or so. Definitely a remarkable albeit pricey card. Should last many years.

8 Cores, 16 Threads appears to be the sweet spot, from my personal experience. I can't imagine needing more than that right now unless you have super heavy workloads on your PC, or Cinebench is your favorite game.

I want those hours of my life back. xD

What Are You Playing Now: The meaning of life
ComradeYellow replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
I did, but still... Ahhhg I guess I'm getting too old for this. I joined a 'Hitman' Discord server and they seemed to love it and I'm just like meh. Never develop a cult status towards a particular game kiddos, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. -

Ok the moment of truth has arrived, after beating Hitman: Blood Money on 'Pro' I eagerly bought the 2016 reboot.... ...and just like that, the magic is gone! My growing superfandom is destroyed now. All the magic from the older games has gone poof! 1) There's no weapon customization 2) Game is riddled with useless filler 3) Way too much hand holding features 4) Graphics are abysmal for a 2016 game 5) Poorly optimized engine 6) Lacks that dark sinister atmosphere and music in favor of useless online features and a heavy interface This is madness, I hoped for the same but more of it and got badly burned here. -
What can I say? It's my current craze.

You probably got more than a week before this thing is fully operational. I'm not a gambler but I'd wager you won't see a fully functional game until the time it get's it's first sale on the Store of your choice.
-
If they release stable, solid, playable games after the craze dies down a bit, it'll make them look much better in contrast. The Hitman series is definitely going to carry me through the Winter.
-
Probably gonna get drowned out by Cyberpunk 2077 images but here's my Blood Money take. Every mission gets a report in the form of a newspaper at the end.

Hitman: Blood Money. Love it. My standards are so high that I refuse to beat any mission w/o receiving a "professional" or "Silent Assassin" rating (only kill the targets on the contract and do not get positively identified during the run -no Rambo shootouts-. Hell, I more often than not go into a mission w/o any firearms at all and just use the basic loadout (fiberwire, bombs, sedative poison) so I'm basically aiming for greatness for nothing because all that money you receive goes into weapon upgrades and I haven't even upgraded anything besides the Silverballers and that's just with the low projectile ammunition which is quieter but less powerful, which assassins love. That money should carry over should I decide to go for the higher difficulties so perhaps I'll be glad for upgrades should I decide to replay on insane difficulties. -
I prefer natural boundaries myself but not really a big deal. What I'm surprised by most is that it appears more open world than I had thought. When I think Cyberpunk I think technology, drugs, eternal night and skyscrapers.

Am going to wait for that one magic patch that everyone says is the turning point before I even bother. I liked Witcher 3 and all but in this state I simply cannot bother at this point. Do you have a Gsync monitor? Worse comes to worse you can always turn down the screen refresh rate to 30 and crank the settings with V-sync (think of it as a high powered console version lol). 1080ti is still a great card BUT unfortunately it doesn't have DLSS to fix low fps issues.

Americans seem to be warming up to UHC at least. Whatever we do though, roughly 25% of the country will be militantly against any change whatsoever. For the near future, I guess I'd be happy with UHC and "stopping the wars".

I was disappointed with 'Absolution', seemed more like a linear slimeball mafioso type game than an actual Hitman game. Perhaps trying the 2016 reboot and then this whilst waiting for 2077 to be properly patched up may not be a bad idea...

Everything you don't like is Unconstitutional of course. Lot's of people considered many things Unconstitutional but they happened anyway, from abolition of slaves, the FBI, the EPA, and many others. Hell, the Patriot Act may even be considered Unconstitutional if you want to get down to brass tacks, but let's not push it here.

Why not just nationalize all medical-related enterprises? I think it would save everyone the headache. I understand that rich white people deserve the best treatment because they obviously worked hard and inherited earned it but there's no reason not to at least raise the floor a notch here that guarantees everyone is covered in a pandemic. I mean you can't keep that wealth if you don't have the slaves workers dying of some pesky pandemic, can you?

Hard times, though the strange bedfellows aren't very clear yet.

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Review: Powerful and Pricey | Tom's Hardware As predicted, great rasterized performance for all native resolutions but absolutely abysmal Ray Tracing performance and no significant DLSS equivalent. I think we know the target audience here, conservative high powered gamers who can't be bothered with modern features yet.
