  1. Ryzen 5000 cpu's arrive on Silicon Lottery tomorrow (22 of Nov Eastern Standard Time). Since this website has a relatively low volume of users, I figure I'm comfortable enough spilling the beans for the few and the proud in hopes maybe a few can get lucky and pick one up. I may even be tempted myself if I see that one is available because humans are quite opportunistic creatures like bipedal rodents xD
  2. Still on Death Stranding. I'm at that part where you have to bring Mountain Knot City into the Chiral Network. It's pretty cool because now I have a non lethal assault rifle so I can spray down MULES and pacify them for a while so Porters can travel to and fro networks and can loot their stolen goods to use to build roads which I see as the ultimate mark of greatness in this game: logistics and connection to other players. Chiral Crystals, Metals, Ceramics. The 3 resources mandatory for logistical supremacy. The more roads I build the more likes I rake in, though I'm still not exactly 100% sure how much of what I do affects other players, I'm assuming it's a cross between players in your world combined with the amount of players in your "realm" so to speak. All these online "network" features and algorithms are very confusing and has quite the learning curve and I'm not sure if I want to take the time to master them in their entirety.
  3. Eagerly waiting for President 47; Agent 47, AK 47 ect. ect.
  4. That's been Rockstar's Modus Operandi since GTA IV, sacrificing heavy themes (a bit) for heavy simulation.
  5. Same. I really miss that tight turn-of-the-millennium period. So, I guess it's Ultra/High settings with RTX turned OFF and DLSS turned ON for me. Game definitely appears to be GPU bound, so I'm guessing it's not going to be an infinity-and-beyond open world type game, which could be a good thing if done right.
  6. I have a feeling I'd rather spend time with them than Ivanka Trump or Chelsea Clinton..
  7. I've been wondering that myself, Cyberpunk an outdated 1980's setting (back when it looked like the Japanese market was going to take over). I guess European nationalists see CDPR as their national treasure considering Witcher 3 was so successful so people naturally want to root for the up-and-coming underdog from their home turf. As an American, I just see it as another GTA/COD clone based off of the trailers.
  8. Almost as ridiculous as Russian 2016 election meddling, yet people on the Blue team continue to gobble it up and at the same time belittle conspiracy theorists... Anywho, once Trump flees back to his tower and abandons his supports, we may have an opportunity to win a good portion of them over to the left side, which I assume is going to be the MPP? Eh, it's been a while since I frequented Social Media so I'm not sure which is the dominant 3rd party at the moment.
  9. Gamers Nexus, Jayz2Cents, and Linus are all quality Youtubers but unfortunately in an industry riddled with cash and influence you simply have to chew the fat to get to the content. That's just how it is right now. Tech world is a cash cow and is still unrefined because it's not corrupted by centuries of corruption and influence like the oil and coal industry.
  10. Yeah that's the problem with these Youtubers, all the tech companies shower them with gifts and praises which kinda twists their honesty a little bit so I guess it's best to ignore the titles and focus on the actual content of their videos, which are actually pretty spot on. It's just one of those "money and politics" type of deals that you have to learn to bypass and hit the numbers.
  11. Personally, I actually do think it's better quality than native and that's just my opinion. I've already given AMD credit for looking better in quite a few titles with its rasterized performance (games that are very colorful can be intoxicating on AMD cards whilst Nvidia's compression can sober that up a bit). It's. All. About. Preference. AMD delivered what they said and that was a generation of cards that finally caught up with Nvidia on pure rasterization, which is a huge leap from Vega 64 and Radeon VII. The only drawback I see here is pricing on AMD's part, if they made these cards even $50 cheaper, it would have given them MUCH better credibility imo. Here's an example of DLSS, which I think looks better:
  12. Jayz2Cents and Linus Tech Tips chime in (The holy Trinity of PC hardware Youtube are these 2 and GN).
  13. Terrible RTX and no DLSS (currently). To me, the 6900XT would be the only one worth considering because it's alleged 1440p rasterization dominance, but again terrible RTX and no DLSS equivalent so I guess waiting for the 3080TI sometime next year is the superior choice. By then, Nvidia should have it 'SAM' feature locked and loaded.
  14. What's sad is that I still run into Iraq War vets who like to point out all the infrastructure we put in there after the invasion like it was some kind of positive thing. I mean it's like the we've learned nothing from Soviet misadventures and Russian soldiers bragging about how their force-fed economic structures were the best in the world and they were doing these countries a service. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet–Afghan_War
  15. Yup. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait until Spring when Rocket Lake and the EVGA 3080ti liquid cooled aio GPU's launch. Still, fascinating stuff developing, regardless of the shortages.
  16. At this rate we're gonna need government intervention.
  17. I get what you're saying, strong centralized governments need to be checked on from time to time, but state and federal power should be complimentary rather than antagonistic.
  18. You going all out liquid cooling or what
  19. I've watched several "unboxing" videos and they are beautiful looking cards, unlike the ugly ass Ampere cards. Truly a great time to be an AMD fan, they've come a long way. I do feel bad for their employees though, I can almost imagine their disgruntled workers being slave driven by Lisa Su to finally being top-tier hardware developers. I really hope she's given them pay raises and added benefits for their ordeal.
  20. Meanwhile, in lefty land:
  21. Greasy money slimeballs. Really shows a moral deficiency to proudly declare yourself a Republican this day and age. We need a left-wing 3rd Party like ASAP because I'm not 100% with the Reagan inspired Neolibcon-Democrats either, by any stretch. Unfortunately lingering Bernie supporters are very slow to accept the fact that he's not going to do diddly squat in a party that's all but abandoned leftism. What I knew 5 years ago perfectly still doesn't seem to register, start locally organizing and get 3rd parties elected then work your way up. /minirantover
  22. Well it's not like the U.S. was 100% a free and democratic society even before Trump so fretting over electoral conclusions is such a misnomer. Watch Biden turn into Trump within a few months of taking office. Only scarier is that he has the mainstream media on his side covering up his vile racist actions. Change comes from the ground up, not vice versa.
  23. Tips for gun owners during the ammo shortage.
