  1. What they should also do is steal Bethesda's composer, Jeremy Soule.
  2. Huh, ain't that something. I wish I could be excited about Joe, but I cannot be. Alt-right 4chan types seem to like him because he seems to want to restore America to it's unipolar corporate social-darwinistic world domination "but with a friendly smile" brand of politics that so many people are sheep-herded into. So I guess I'm on team Trump, if only because he's a bit disruptive to the system, maybe the wrong reasons, but I guess if we trend in that direction maybe we'll get to positive change eventually.
  3. It is? But yeah one luxury of living in a partisan state with miniscule electoral weight is that I'm in no danger of being accosted by partisan hacks telling me to vote a certain way. All I see are a bunch of signs everywhere (Most of them for Biden).
  4. Ha! Stupid me posting before doing research on what 'Anthem' is, I've never even heard of it because I pay literally zero attention to EA trends. I guess it's time to revisit Heroes 3 then, it's been *looks at watch* 15+ years or so since I've played it...
  5. This was my knee jerk candidate as well. Have not played 'Anthem' yet so I guess it's fair to give it a whirl before final decision.
  6. Both solid titles (Majesty and Grim Dawn). Now who's gonna find that magic no.3 title and cement the holy trinity?
  7. It's very rare that I plough through a game and not lose interest for a second. The Outer Worlds was such a game, and a fine exception to that rule. I don't regret buying it at launch, and severely question the motives of those who refused to do so. Something very fishy about it.
  8. Yes correct, the mass gravity of gamers are never quick to jump on new gimmicks as a whole. It's relatively niche to actively hunt for games that specifically use DLSS 2.x and Ray Tracing and base your gaming habits around them. I guess I'm just a progressive kinda guy.
  9. Why AMD seems to be having a tougher time dislodging Nvidia than Intel is that Nvidia, despite having market dominance for many years, always seems to self innovate and subsequently "dump the old". Starting with Turing they really started pushing DX12 features, DX11 be damned. AMD appears to be a bit more conservative in its quest for dominance and more backwards friendly. But yeah there's just so many questions and speculations right now that you'll go mad trying to unravel it yourself. The 28th can't come soon enough!
  10. And perhaps Nvidia as well, considering they just bought ARM for $40 Billion. The more competition the better and that applies to everything, from businesses to nations. Monolithic power structures are the last thing anyone should subscribe to.
  11. You appear to be correct: Also factor in DLSS 2.x and a Ray Tracing (both require DX12) looks like Big Navi can't quite destroy Nvidia on up-to-date performance. However, when you factor in the lower power consumption and probably cheaper price tag, should still be a viable option for many.
  12. 'Magine!
  13. The only people I feel bad for here is AMD employees, I surely hope they get bonuses (in some form or another) from Lisa Siu's slave driving in her successful quest to be a hardware powerhouse. Back to the drawing board for Team Blue, watch them blame AMD's success on "Russian Meddling"
  14. And only 10% better performance than the 3080 overall Video Cards are weird like that, numbers don't always mean better. What bothers me the most actually is when they advertise something as a "1440p card" yet the cards that are advertised as "4k" do better at 1440p than the "1440p card" does. I'm sorry, if you advertise something as such, it should perform better at that resolution than any other card.
  15. Benchmarks show significant improvement in 4k over the 2080 TI, less so with the other resolutions, though still a healthy margin.
  16. More like we turned the "dream" into a nightmare.
  17. I hate to agree with reactionaries but there may be a point in the absurdist notion of trying to artificially inseminate modern cultural sensibilities into historical video games. I do not agree with islamophobia, sexism, anti-semitism and racism or any other filth ideology that always loses in the end but when you smell an artificial political agenda I think it can be appropriate to call it out on certain conditions. I have always been in favor of historical realism over revisionism and would prefer people actually take the time to study mindsets of the era and try to creativity replicate them into a video game.
  18. Am not, because I don't want to finally get a 3080 and get bitch slapped when they release a 'Super' or 'Ti' version a few months later.
  19. My thoughts as well. We need just enough government that enforces anti-monopoly practices and makes sure the "people at the bottom" at least have reasonable living standards but that's about it. If it takes an "illiberal democracy" to achieve it, so be it. Literally anything is preferable to the mess we have now (except an outright dictatorship).
  20. I don't like his rap sheet.
  21. Well the 1st one was what you would call a 'flawed gem' that sold poorly, so I'm not exactly sure what they were thinking with this project. It's like they're trying to take old and under-appreciated relics and try to rehash them into a market again "Guys, guys, look at this bad boy!" and hoping for a smash hit. Then again, I don't understand European gaming habits. 'Tis a bit alien to me.
  22. I'm not exactly proud of it guys but I still think Trump is going to win again, Dems may pick up a few seats but this cycle is literally no different than it has been for past few decades. 8 years D, 8 years R, rinse, and repeat. The other side gets all optimistic and bubble-minded on how there's some kind of secret embedded American mentality that's going to rise up and destroy the opposition then they wind up dumbfounded on why they lost. Republicans did that in 2012: "Oh oh Americans just made a mistake voting for Obummer, they'll come around and vote Romney absolutely, we got this in the bag!" I just don't want people to get their hopes up. Biden or Trump it's all part of the same two party ponzi scheme. American "democracy" is a failure.
  23. From 2008-2010 Democrats wiped the floor in congress...and they did absolutely nothing! If they squander it, yet another Teabag-esque Republican momentum will come in and start the cycle all over again.
  24. Such a beautiful song from such a bright and sunny era in the US history. What the Hell happened to us? It's like we're in a warzone now...
  25. Happy Birthday to me! I survived a whole year on these boards. There's been fun times and adversarial times but all-in-all I prefer that over circle-jerking on social media. You learn through unpleasantness baby.
