  1. Check it: The top one is 1440p, the bottom is DLSS 960p ->1440p. Both on medium settings no RTX. To me, the picture quality doesn't look like a significant difference. However, notice the huge gains in FPS (top left corner, white numbers) with DLSS, which IS a significant difference. This is a basic test sample, and would require extensive testing to get an accurate visual comparison, but I think this is sufficient for demonstration purposes.
  2. ^I'm actually playing Control at DLSS 960p -> 1440p with Max settings, RTX off, and using a 2080 Super and getting around 110 fps on average, and it looks quite good! Medium settings gets it right to my 140 fps 'sweet spot' Incredible considering 'Control' is a massive system hog.
  3. Ah yes, conjuring illusory threats such as Muslims, Mexicans, Chinese Communists to play into peoples fears the same way liberals conjure the Russian threat. Group think is a Hell of thing isn't it?
  4. Evangelicals constitute the vast majority of Trump's base. Let that sink in.
  5. Thank God for that, one thing I agree with conservatives over liberals on is gun control and this is by a mile. Maybe perhaps for slightly different reasons but I'd say gun ownership is an American pastime and shouldn't be taken away.
  6. Which is why Maine and New Hampshire pwn the gun argument, we have some of the lowest rates and slackest restrictions at the same time. New England is truly Middle Earth.
  7. That's how it is now, and it's not working too well because police are attacking the civilians they're supposed to protect, you don't see military attacking police do you? There's a major antagonism going on here.
  8. I hate to sound pro-cop here -I'm speaking from a purely practical standpoint that's not ideologically driven- but disarming the police as long as the population is allowed to own firearms doesn't make any sense. Since I'm not a fan of turning in weaponry, I'd rather opt for removing the police entirely because cop vs. citizens is becoming a completely polarized affair. It's funny how cops used to be nice and correctly perceived as the good guys decades ago, but times are getting a bit strange. Laws are becoming overly complex and multifaceted, and that's all the police are trained to do: enforce laws, not "Protect and Serve" (which was the motto actually chosen by the population in the 1950's again in a totally different time and atmosphere where cops were considered "good"). I guess we have two options: 1) Remove the police, FBI and leave everything to armed citizenry militias and/ or the Nation Guard, or 2) really crunch down on the 18,000+ police agencies scattered across the country and condense that number down significantly.
  9. Just beat the first seven maps on a little game called Majesty Gold, anyone heard of it? Addictive as Hell. All I really have to say. No major criticisms.
  10. I've never been there so I don't have much credibility on the matter, but this is the conclusion I've come to as well after carefully studying propaganda and political agendas from all spheres of influence and not confining myself strictly to Western sources. Propaganda and narrative control is a well honed art at this point and every state is ready to spend big money on hiring experts on the matter. I will say this though, U.S. economic sanctions against Cuba for many many decades certainly does not help there internal conditions at all -in fact it hurts the population- but fans of neoliberalism are not hesitant to blame it on the Cuban government and the 'socialist' boogyman. It's beyond ridiculous what the U.S. government has been doing since 1945.
  11. DO NOT BUY. Game is not too bad at a good discount but it's very poorly optimized and it crashes frequently, even after trying everything suggested to fix it. Friggin' Japs and their terrible Master Race ports (well ok, REngine is actually quite good so what's Capcom's excuse for this travesty, why didn't they use that??)
  12. (sorry about the language, my editing abilities are atrocious and I couldn't find a "cleaner" version )
  13. https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_in_Cyberpunk_2020 Good lord, CD;PR do not hold back on raw content do they? I already know what gun I would use should I purchase this game, and that's the Beretta M97P. Let's hope character building can augment gun choices well because I'm not much of a fan of ditching something I have an affinity to just because something else has higher stats on paper.
  14. Celebrity Jeopardy used to make me cackle pretty good. Seems like ancient history now though.
  15. The two biggest fascists I can think of right now are Bolsonaro in Brazil and Modi in India. People like Trump and Orban certainly give a whiff of it but they're clever enough not to go full retard like the others. I suck at national leaders memory game so there might be others that I've left out.
  16. Giving Monster Hunter: World/Iceborn a whirl.
  17. This theater or what? You never can tell with the orange.
  18. Heh, sounds like the USSR! It appears modern empires are much harder to hold together because information flows rapidly and it doesn't take much to spot the internal contradictions of global powers.
  19. Pizza, burgers, fries? More like every month here!
  20. When I read people discuss coding around various places of the net, I feel like I'm listening to people speak Alpha Centurian or something. But hey, I guess they compliment us aliens well, 'cuz I'm still clicking and keyboarding the crap rich content they produce, and enjoying myself.
  21. Love the comments here. The 'Radical Center' really can't get over their Russiagating Putin Puppet **** can they? I'd say if anything will cost them the election, it's 1950's grade Cold War rhetoric by the same party that's historically against such nonsense.
  22. Bingo! 2016 Trump was far more viable and understandable than 2020 Trump. The former get a pass, the latter do not. The usual GOP rank and file are expected to vote Trump, agnostic swing voters have no excuse this time around. Really says something about those who do, and none of it is good.
  23. As I said a couple pages back, support from such people does exist, but it's purely sentimental and not steeped in a rational, logical decision to support him, as they are not very intelligent or "educated" as some people like to say so they have an emotional bond with him. The idea that a significant portion of the American population is dumb and ignorant certainly carries water. Though it causes me discomfort to talk about it, but it is germane to the point so sometimes you got to get it out there.
  24. "Normal Republicans" consist of the rank and file from the suburbs and the lower middle class types in rural areas (Small business owners, farmers, ect.) and are almost unanimously in favor of Trump. These Apparachick Republicans in D.C. who oppose Trump are a small minority.
