  1. I'm starting to hope that Trump wins, if only for the same reason you cheat on your spouse as some sort of revenge move. My liberal girlfriend has control freak issues and is too obsessed with the conservative neighbor over illusory and ridiculous things. Finally you get fed up and just go pay her a visit.
  2. Yeah SotTR isn't a good GPU benchmark because it's way too CPU bound. I had to tinker with the settings quite a bit just to hit 96% GPU, and that included turning on Ray Tracing. And I have an 8 Core 5.1Ghz processor.... Still a tinge of hope, AMD's confidence and underhyping is a breath of fresh air.
  3. Glad to see I'm not the only cult fan of Zardoz. R.I.P. bro.
  4. Cyberpunk is actually designed with Nvidia GPU's in mind. Borderlands 3 is like the shining current example of an AMD based game, games that are bright and colorful rather than dark and atmospheric.
  5. I would rather play PnP OR a mixed element video game than play any of these.
  6. I think most people would agree with that. If you want a Omg REAL RPG, stick with pen and paper, I imagine. You simply have to give and take in the digital realm.
  7. Cool. I get to be the one skeptic for this game so all that's left is to be pleasantly surprised rather than bitterly disappointed.
  8. Correct. We may not think it sometimes because we're living in a consumerist bubble, but our hobby and little corner of the market is quite small in comparison. It's all the boring stuff people take for granted that fuels the dollars.
  9. https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2020/10/30/cyberpunk-2077-crunch-apology/ From death threats, to 100 hour work weeks, to Kicinski belittling his own staff. What the Hell is going on at CDPR? They almost sound like Activision or EA now. Totally what we need more of, inorganic bloated number crunching development processes.
  10. https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/10/28/nvidia-amd-shouldnt-worry-intel-discrete-gpu/ LOL we got a wayz to go before we see Blue GPU's sitting in our cases.
  11. Perfect release in conjunction with Rocket Lake, if true. 250W TBP (Superclocked Rocket Lake) + 250W TBP (Likely) for 3070TI has a nice ring, dunnit? And who knows when the Prosiphon Elite will arrive, considering it's constantly delayed.
  12. This is a valid point. As someone "who's Nvidia" I guess I should be a Chad and wait until next year and see what they release. That's what I did with the 2080 Super so I guess I'll repeat that process. Most games run more than admirable with Turing still, especially with the latest drivers and DLSS upgrades. It's a win win really. If you wait, you get a 'Super', if they don't release a 'Super', you can get a better manufactured 3080 and perhaps cheaper on top it.
  13. This is probably the best case scenario to be honest. (Yes, the bar is that low). I'm not sure which seats are up for grabs this cycle but I know that Dems did not blowout the senate elections in 2018 because a lot of the seats were unavailable to them. We'll see what happens.
  14. Finally got around to picking up Death Stranding on the Epic Games Store. So far, it's ok, I have a certain level of respect for Kojima but I hope the excessive focus on cutscenes and cinematics ceases a bit more as the game progressives, not that it's bad, but at this point in my life I just want to play more and watch less. Graphics, environments, physics, programming and features like DLSS make the game look and run flawlessly, which is kinda surprising from a Japanese title (They love their consoles and don't normally give two figs about PC ports).
  15. If I went absolutely insane and decided to switch to 'Red' (RAAAAAAGE Red BWAHAHAHA) I would definitely go with the 6900 XT. It's far smaller and cheaper than the 3900, so it would fit nice and snug in my mid-sized case (I despise full tower cases). I would have to buy a new monitor on top of that though, and I don't want to do that, it would have to be a guaranteed RT/DLLS performance blowout to even consider it.
  16. Over a video game, a hobby. Glad to see gamers haven't changed much in 20+ years.
  17. 4k 100+ fps alone could be a good reason (with some settings tweaks) to pay top dollar for a GPU. I just prefer smaller screens with scientifically perfect resolution, high fps, and all the latest cool gpu features to go with it.
  18. Yeah I'm impressed with its rasterization and overall efficiency, they've come a long way, but their Ray Tracing bit left much to be desired, and no DLSS equivalent? I might have missed that part. Both the 6800XT and 3080 are well within the variation of each other and not enough difference to make a difference, 144+fps 1440p should be a breeze with either, but Nvidia's bag of tricks are more to my taste than AMD's. Each card is a great option though, it just boils down to preference and sports team fandom at this point.
  19. I don't like the Robert E Lee hat but nice pic, @Keyrock
  20. That's basically my point, clowns to left of me want super high resolution at the expense of fps and jokers to right want way too much hhz resolution be damned.
  21. Most experienced people in high fps gaming say that 144hz/fps is the sweet spot and those who target too extreme one way or another (60hz or 240+hz) are just foolz considering current hardware.
  22. Blaming company failures on a specific individual is such a tried and true formula isn't it?
  23. *whistles*
  24. It won't. Leaked Port Royal benchmarks are suggesting It can't even come within margin of error of DLSS + RTX performance. There may be other reasons to buy Radeon, Ray Tracing performance isn't one of them.
