At least it's releasing, even if in a terrible state. The same can't be said of Elden Ring (considered the Dark Souls version of Cyberpunk) which has a complete and utter lack of concrete updates as of now.

Cyberpunk 2077 Performance Preview and Initial Impressions | Tom's Hardware Game appears to be a massive system hog in its current state. Will probably wait for the first Steam or EGS sale along with the 100th patch and driver updates to accommodate it.

My biggest mistake of 2020 was miscalculating the effect of Covid-19 and how it affected public influence on the election. If not for Trump's F-ups of the situation, he certainly would have won again. I predicted his re-election sorely on the basis of American voting habits for he past 30 years w/o even considering this semi-crisis. ....And Biden plans on doing nothing about the situation but taking a bit more staunch stance on mask wearing, which is certainly not enough to amplify his position.

With or without companions?ComradeYellow replied to glarnk's topic in The Outer Worlds: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS) Yes. I had a good run w/o any companions and picked the solo perks.

What Are You Playing Now: The meaning of lifeComradeYellow replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console Prey is a great game and is absolutely not a war game. Firearm usage is limited to skill specialization and ammo is not plentiful. Definitely pick it up if you got the funding. My only gripes were the ending and the somewhat unbalanced Skill Tree (at least at the beginning, towards the end it's not a problem).

This was my problem with the original, way too much emphasis on party-based combat which usually I get crushed by the tedium. Other than that, it was a well made game. I think I got like 3/4 through the Deep Roads before I gave up, which is far for me. Not bad. I think more games should be like Outer Worlds, you have the perfectly viable option of going Solo and on the extreme opposite end you have the option of making yourself a non-combat character whilst your companions do the dirty work, and everything in between. More options = better.

Yeah I had DLSS on all throughout my playthrough of Death Stranding and was under the impression that I was playing a game that probably doesn't look as good because it was on. I was stunned when I turned it off just for kicks and discovered that DLSS actually made the game look better with a simple switch of a button. These new features appear to be the real deal, and are snowballing pretty fast and leaving AMD back to the drawing board once again.

Yeah I saw that after the fact. I was checking out older Ruger models when their barrels were much lighter and almost pencil like (which led to some problems for extended usage). Around the turn of the millennium they started putting heavier and more reliable barrels which upped the weight a bit. Mini-30 here (7.62x39) weighs apx 6.7 lbs whilst the average from-the-factory AR weighs about 6.5 lbs. Still, cleaning assault rifles is an absolute horror show, I can't imagine being a marine and having to constantly meet inspection checks for them, so I think the .2 lb difference is not significant for a trade-off in maintenance.

It's Nvidia, I like their cards, but a lot of their business practices don't make a lot of sense. It's like they pull random goodies out of a bag, smile, wait for AMD to respond, smile again, then pull more stuff out and say "but lookie here!" and don't even consider a rock solid strategy or buyers remorse from their customers.

I never played the full game. The hilarious over the top demo convinced me not to buy it. Combat was way too silly, almost like a parody.
-
Yeah I'm seeing a lot of scalped hardware lately up for sale at ridiculous prices. It's like there's no shame in it anymore. If people start buying these it could really cause long term damage to pricing on consumer goods. /Boycott

Call of Duty has brought in $3 billion in past year | GamesIndustry.biz **** you Activision. Fascist bastards.

Microsoft and Paradox own those games and they are on good terms with Epic Games.

I've come to the conclusion that the Ruger Mini 14 is better than an AR variant. I mean sure the AR has more after market accessories and is perhaps more accurate at very long distances (in which case you'd probably want a sniper rifle anyway), but the Ruger is far easier to clean and maintain and is much lighter and easier to carry. Logistical and preparational considerations are more important to me than pure tactical ones.

Ok so the 3080 TI is reportedly releasing in January but confirmed 3080 owners aren't getting theirs until mid-February? Something doesn't add up here. You living in Sweden may be a factor but I wouldn't think it would be a huge one.

*rollseyes* so Wikipedia says the U.S. ranks 128th in a list of 163 countries, behind China, Cuba, and Venezuela. Way to not only reinforce your dumbassness but to also reinforce the underlying facet that the U.S. is a violent country, which is despicable for a nation that claims to be the bastion of freedom and opportunity. Got any more retard filled snarky posts to share with us?
-
^And what is your problem, exactly?
-
I like how he says shooting people and violence is un-American which is strange considering the U.S. is statistically the most violent country on the planet. Still a good take, though I fear it may be ultimately futile.

Yes it's apparent that the Republican Party is happily embracing fascism. I'd honestly wish they chose Ted Cruz over this guy, at least his supporters were bearable and even somewhat intelligent on social issues. What can you do huh? The wine has been spilled and we have no immediate response to it. Voting for Biden is not a long term solution, the Trump base isn't going anywhere so we obviously need a 3rd party to form a coalition against them.
-
"How are you gonna pay for it" is the most common response from Conservatives. My answer is simple: "Cut the military budget in half, you won't notice a thing!" "What about Russia and China?" "What about Russia and China?! Their military budget is miniscule compared to ours and last I checked it was the U.S. with bases and eternal conquest throughout the world, not them."

You get national funding if you receive 5% of the vote in the U.S.

The more I see Cyberpunk 2077 content, the less I like. It looks trashy as Hell.
