  1. Edward Snowden on Twitter: "Never forget that the Freedom of the Press is the very first part of the Bill of Rights. If you're out on the street claiming to defend the Constitution, the way you do that is by protecting reporters, not attacking them. Even if you hate the media, anything less is un-American." / Twitter
  2. Everyone outside the country appears to be entertained like it's some kind of reality show. Everyone inside is scared ****less we're gonna get shot because we have the "wrong" views. I will say this though, their may be a karma factor at play here, the U.S. government has been paying people in some countries to storm their capitols and overthrow unwanted "regimes", just look up The Ukraine for reference here. Chiciens come home to roost.
  3. You've said "conspiracy theory" almost five times. There's many things wrong with the Trump camp, rightfully believing to some degree that they're being shafted and lied to by the government is not one of them. Yes, Biden won fair and square but lingering populist sentiment is not going to go anywhere.
  4. Snowrunner. I'm a mothertrucker now. It's actually a neat little game, too bad most of the upgrades are locked up at low level -I keep getting stuck in the mud-, and trying to find road only missions with not heavly sludge can be a pain. Other than that it's quite fun to simulate a truck driver.
  5. After checking out their Twitter responses, they truly believe it's either them or a full blown Communist regime. Yes, they are that far gone. Funny how most leftists don't even really fully support Biden or the Democrats, yet try telling these idiots that.
  6. I'm unsure and skeptical of the motives of non-Republicans who think that the party was anything even remotely worthy of any kind of respect even before Trump showed up on the scene.
  7. Well that's kind of a double edged sword really. It's how you apply your "educatedness" that really matters. Lenin, for instance, came from a very educated and loving and fairly wealthy background and yet he dedicated his life to the poormans workers causes. We can debate for years whether he was successful or not, lets not please, but the modern version of being "educated" seems to revert to the 18th/19th century version of it: being a wealthy landowner with little to no regard to income inequality, poverty, and forming small circles of like-minded individuals.
  8. The protests started after the virus spread when unemployment reached significantly high levels, the Floyd incident was the fuse that lit the powder keg. Also, just because the media gets bored of the BLM protests and doesn't report on it as much doesn't mean there isn't still around.
  9. Elden Ring gameplay news, artwork and 2021 release date leaked | Gaming | Entertainment | Express.co.uk
  10. I really don't think they're gonna close down so don't worry. They just need to not try to make games that shoot for the stars and learn to operate within a more reasonable scope. That's why I'm looking to From Software and Obsidian with more optimism in the future; they know how to craft very well made games within a well defined and carefully structured playing field.
  11. You call this "moderate" and "reasonable"? Good God man how far right are you?
  12. Yeah Gridlock is last thing we need right now. Democrats are bad, Republicans are worse, but Dems at least seem a bit more able of handling a falling apart economy so I guess it's "Go Dems!" until we finally get a 3rd Party on the scene.
  13. Not really. The South appears to be going through some kind of weird phase since like 2017 or something. Some kind of mood shift. From Nixon->Trump the south was always considered a Red stronghold but it's become strangely complex in recent years.
  14. Of course Georgia would go Blue: Democrats are conservative! They just have enough sense to realize alt-right politics isn't the way to go. Now let's try to explain this reasoning to the Red Yankees from the North, the more blatantly alt-right types that are arguably worse than southerners.
  15. Avowed is set in the Pillars universe and could be considered the proper successor. They may make another niche isometric game on a small budget but don't expect it to be any kind of remarkable success or anything.
  16. Yes you should periodically check for new motherboard drivers and update your BIOS with a flash drive. Oh wait, you're talking about the GPU with the exact same name that I never knew about. Geforce Experience is a simple tool that alerts whenever there's a new graphics driver update available. Some of its features can be annoying at times but just keeping it for updates generally works good
  17. Whelp, I guess buying scalped GPU's now may make sense since retail are going up anyway. Get 'em while you can, boys and girls. EDIT: I'm willing to bet that people buying these from scalpers helped make their final decision to raise the prices.
  18. CD Projekt RED is getting sued by another law firm over Cyberpunk 2077 | TweakTown
  19. Whelp, I didn't have much luck with the timings but I still managed to get it to 3333Ghz so I think we're good for while. Internet experts say that you want both speed and timings to be high and shouldn't sacrifice one for the other. I disagree, it is of my opinion that you should aim for better data rate with AMD and better timings with Intel because Intel chips are designed with real complex cache setups whilst AMD has that whole Infinity Fabric thingamabob that seems to benefit from higher base speeds. I don't like the glowing RGB, perhaps I can find some drivers where I can just set it to blue and green, but it doesn't really matter because my huge air fan covers the memory anyway. Speaking of air fans, I managed to beat the Ryzen Threadripper 1950x 16 Cores in multicore Cinebench with my i9 10900k overclocked and temps never went above 80c which impressive because the 10900k only sports 10 cores. Single Cores can't quite beat the best of Zen 3, but it's close, and not massively significant. Just not long ago I thought the only way to fly was with water cooling. Doesn't appear to be the case. I'm starting to think that CPU's matter a great deal for gaming nowadays, because newer CPU's are showing benchmark results that greatly reduced 1.0% and 0.1% lows, which results in much more consistent 'fluid' gameplay that you would otherwise get. EDIT: managed to find the RGB drivers just fine and got all four RAM sticks to cyan. Looks great! Cyan is my favorite color, however my fan still blatantly blocks it.
  20. It wasn't. Fallout 1-2 fanboys were so staking hope on the premise that newcomers playing Fallout 3 would somehow play the originals and turn into.... Fallout 1-2 fanboys like them. Never happened. Those who did -by and large- simply didn't care for it. The dead horse theory is still alive and well it seems.
  21. I like how the Democratic Party is conservative whilst the Republican Party is alt right. When oh when are we going to get a left wing party to properly balance things out? People **** on me for being anti-American and pro eastern, yet all I want here is more Democracy and at the same time radically change our view of foreign policy. The people who look at me with a jaundice eye seem to want less Democracy and think our 2 party system is GRAND. Hypocrites. Also, the only good thing about 2020: Breaking911 on Twitter: "BREAKING: Businessman and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang has filed paperwork to run for mayor of New York City - WNBC" / Twitter Andrew Yang's Predictions for 2021 Include More Cash Relief and a New Third Party (msn.com) Growing a bit liking to this Yang fellow, he seems to advocate good centrism. I hope we wins, if UBI happens in NYC it will inevitably spread elsewhere.
  22. LOL I wouldn't count on that. Witcher 3 is a bit different than niche titles like Pillars. Let 'em die. No sense kicking a dead horse.
  23. Hitman 2 (2018) The reboot is great but imo it kinda lacks the magic over the older series, especially Blood Money. I'd call it quality vs. quantity. It just sometimes feels more like a Bourne Identity-Bondesque series than a Hitman series. Hitman generally kill for money w/o too much emphasis on moral considerations, every single person you have to assassinate is some kind of super villain.
  24. Whoops, I meant 'balanced' mode not 'performance' mode my mistake. But in any case it's probably not even worth buying until at least the first patch comes out, ideally the 2nd patch in February. This is definitely one of those "fine wine" type games where you ideally want to wait a bit until patches and added content comes out.
